That's it? Who the hell uses Dash Breaker?
>Who the hell uses Dash Breaker?
That's probably why they buffed it
Oh
I do t they really care what mechanic is or isn’t used. It’s like someone “important” whined about it. It’s like that with most games. Take.. I don’t know… R6 Siege… 99% of the community will complain about x, y, or z, but Ubisoft doesn’t give a shit. Now, if the e-sports team whine about it, that shit gets changed ASAP.
The devs (for the most part) aren’t sitting there reeeeeing
>bros! They’re not using the helicopter wiener attack! We have to fix this!
They're just taking underwhelming moves and buffing them to make them feel more appealing to try and use, I don't see the harm in that. Dash Breaker had absolutely no purpose with Keeping Sway existing for example, and Partbreaker Oil was actively detrimental more than it helped.
I guess but where's the harm in leaving those moves a bit crappy? Some moves are just gonna be better than others, I don't see the point in trying to equalize everything like this.
> where's the harm in leaving those moves a bit crappy?
What are you, moronic?
literally what are you trying to argue here?
But what's the point of that? If you want to make the weapon better then buff the stuff that people actually use instead of just raising shitty moves up to mediocrity.
>bro just make the strong moves stronger so my TA times get a bit better instead of making the weapon have more fun options
Hammer is the weakest weapon in the game so yes even its strongest options need to be better
>Hammer is the weakest weapon in the game
Lol
It's slower than every other weapon except HH while offering zero utility
1/ There will always be a weakest weapon
2/ It's not even hammer
Imagine if every time a homosexual like you complained about their weapon being the "weakest" despite getting perfectly reasonable clear times, the developers followed your whims and buffed it
We'd be playing a game where every weapon is as braindead as HBG because nobody at the bottom was ever happy with the fact some other homosexual outperformed them in an entirely PvE game
I can't imagine a more brainlet attitude to game balance
>There will always be a weakest weapon
Sure but that weakest weapon should be one that makes sense
Hammer has nothing other than damage and KO so its damage and KO being shit makes no sense
Lance with its buffed counters and step attacks gets to be nearly invincible and has absurd mobility but it also clears faster than hammer, where's the sense in that?
MH isn't competitive and I'm not asking for it to be balanced like a competitive game but the strengths and weaknesses of weapons in this game just make no sense at times and it makes the weapons less satisfying to use as a result
''Man, hammer gets to knock enemies down for free and mash, why is it stronger than lance that always has to be on your face?''
Making up excuses on comparisons don't make sense, every weapon has its niche and strengths including hammer. It's also not in any way GL or HH tier weak and isn't pigeonholed into one type of play like DB which has similar clear times without any KOs
Who gives a shit about any of that as long as hitting the monster with the weapon is fun
Damage numbers were a mistake, remove them and remove quest clear timers while we're at it
>Hammer has nothing other than damage and KO
and safety
and simplicity
Imagine being so desperate for buffs you claim the slowest weapon in the game is actually better than yours
>safety
No safer than any other weapon
>simplicity
It has 3 movesets, buff upkeep, and needs to build elemental now for maximum damage output
>bro no you don't get it I get to walk around while charging my best attacks but it's actually way harder than any other weapon
lol
Hammer has always been the weapon for beginners, sorry it's not letting you bypass hunting the monster entirely I'll give itchynose a call see what he can sort out for you
>Hammer has always been the weapon for beginners
I remember back in 4U where people thought Hammer was a beginner weapon but couldn't handle being at the monster's head because it was a death zone, so people just called the weapon a shit beginner weapon rather than admitting they were bad and couldn't handle hitting the monster from the front rather than tickling its tail the whole hunt.
Hammer was shit in 4U though. Had to put in 10 times more work than every other weapon learning golfswing headsnipes for no payoff compared to GS or CB.
It wasn't, it's nowhere near as good as GS or IG but it was still better than average if you want to use TA runs as a metric.
It could even stun a lot faster than CB can assuming you were good enough to consistently hit the head because you didn't need to go through the song and dance of building vials/shield buff first, it's just that hitting the head repeatedly was hard while CB just had to land one or two moves so many people mistakenly believed that CB was better at stunning than hammer because they're bad at the game.
You're not entirely incorrect, hammer was better in coordinated 2 man runs where it could keep comboing the head, but this wasn't really possible solo on 140s
>this wasn't really possible solo on 140s
Why would you suddenly be unable to hit the head repeatedly in a speed run scenario where you reset until everything goes perfectly? It's not like 140 quests had different AI
Hammer and GS were fairly even in base MH4, Hammer like most other weapons got worse in 4U because of monster design, and GS got overpowered gear.
Wouldn't playing solo make it easier to combo the head because they're more predictable? 4 player groups is where playing hammer becomes a pain because you have to constantly react to the monster turning to attack another player.
I say coordinated runs as in a run where the 2 players stand right next to each other and do their attacks in a planned and coordinated fashion. This lets you chain flinches and knockdowns in such a way that you can keep attacking. It's easier to snipe heads solo because the monster is more predictable, but attack windows are simply not large enough to do full combos on heads a lot of the time unless it's to punish certain long animation attacks like most projectiles.
>Had to put in 10 times more work (compared to GS or CB)
That's like every weapon in 4U aside from Insect glaive or the ranged weapons in a HAME run.
How do you type this shit and not even for a moment stop typing to realize how much of a little b***h you're being
You've got envy so bad you're even b***hing about Lance having a niche?
Lance is fine, I used it as an example for why hammer is so bad.
They hate him because he told them the truth.
Hammer is just weaker HH at this point.
you haven't used hammer in SB, or you suck with it. which is it?
HAMMER CHADS
Why are Sunbreak reviews still so poor?
Because it is a shallow hunting game
It's a fine and nuanced asymetrical player v CPU fighting game. but that's not monster hunter. It's too lopsided.
Good game. Bad monster hunter. Would enjoy and recommend if it were a spin off called Monster Basher
Same reason Iceborne’s reviews were poor on Steam. A lot of PC players or PCheaters as I like to call them, use mods when playing. Whenever there’s a major title update, their games usually break and remain broken until they remove the outdated mods.
>it-it was about performance..
Works on my machine 🙂
paid costumes
It's because you can't CreamAPI the DLCs.
You can't? Goddamn it.
Because Rise as a whole is a bad Monster Hunter game, just like World, and the expansions for both didn't fix that. On top of that, the Title Updates for Sunbreak have been especially shit in terms of variety. There hasn't been a single monster added to the game that isn't already in the "base" expansion in one form or another and it reeks laziness.
it's mid, simple as
It's mostly cause the massive amount of paid DLC vs the greatly reduced amount of free extra content caused quite the controversy
Which I personally don't get. Dollar-wise, there's still less paid DLC than in World and Rise has a ton of armor unlockable through side quests, it's just not done via Event Quests anymore.
Hell, World thought it was worth over $100 for their fricking MODEL VIEWER for the monsters in the game. That's way more egregious to me than some layered armors/weapons.
>World thought it was worth over $100 for their fricking MODEL VIEWER for the monsters in the game.
That was their biggest sin for me. Every other Capcom game has unlockable models that you can view without real currency. I really wanted to get a good look at some of the monsters but I refuse to pay for what is essentially a digital toy.
Exactly. I adore model viewers, they're one of my favorite things to do when I'm just winding down with a game. I like seeing all the work put into the models and textures and all that. That's especially true in a game like MH, where it's hard to appreciate the little details on monsters since they're constantly in motion. It's a much bigger loss to me than out of place layered armor I probably would have used a handful of times, when the game itself contains a shit-ton of armor and all of it can be layered.
And frick you if you think I'm not getting my plushie Narga for my Longsword.
>not being a fig builder chad
Gimme a closeup of that Barrioth and do you have a Tiggy
And how the frick do people make these
I'm on a bus. Would if I could. Here's Barroth and Jyuratodus doing their Turf War. Neat hidden feature for these to figs only.
>how
They're called builder because they come in pieces you put together. Just slotting tails or wings on. All pre-painted.
You can get them for like $15 on Amazon or sommat. A group of friends and I at work would buy full boxes at a discount and split the cost based on which monsters we wanted so it came out to a pittance.
Are those preassembled or are they like Warhammer where you paint them yourself?
Prepainted, mild assembly
Cool, is there a particular site you get yours from?
Play Asia. They're released in "volumes" and you can get every fig in a volume by buying the whole box. They're meant to be gotcha blindbox buys but each box is a full set so if you buy the whole box you get them all + the little clear pieces that are in each box of a volume that add up to a crystalline version of one of the figs.
You underestimate my power.
Odo's design is so damn cool, probably the coolest looking mon in the last two gens for me
Shame about the pushover hitboxes
Yup, Odo and Nerg are some of my favorite World monsters, and sadly I was deeply susceptible to the Dodo memes so I have an affinity for him.
I'm a Worldbab so I only just got introduced to all of them with that game, but I loved fighting Teo as Chargeblade so I had to have them too. I wish I'd gotten a Val Hazak; might pick one up eventually.
I really hope the rotten vale returns alongside more experimental ecosystems for areas. Don't get me wrong, I like Sunbreak's jungle a lot, but the Citadel is just so bland. It's just a low-lying tundra with a small portion of it dedicated to the ruined-castle aesthetic. I wish they made Narwa's arena a full area.
>rotten vale
Gimme the corrals again
I actually like the Citadel for its variety and vibrant colours. The performance is pretty bad for it though.
Rise overall has very safe maps in terms of creativity. World had Rotten Vale, Coral grounds, Elder's recess, El Dorado to keep things fresh.
Nice.
I'd worry about the figures being too fragile all the time.
They're soft vinyl, you almost can't break them by dropping. I'd be more worried about paint damage.
I have these but covered in a really thick layer of dust
Compressed Air.
I think the tipping point was the paid weapons skins DLC
world was first just stuff normalgays didn't cared about
then rise came with DLC armors, and now DLC weapons, so people are scared of the slippery slope and rightfully so
I already hated this kind of shit back when they started with it in world and my stance on this hasn't changed
it was bullshit in world and it still is bullshit in rise
Paid DLC in general was always the tipping point, but I can still look the other way because I don't buy it and don't engage with it.
There's a big line they haven't crossed yet, though, and that's the 'extra paid content' line. Once they start charging for quests or god forbid monsters is when I officially tap out.
I am a huge fashion gay so stuff like locked hairstyles and outfits already hurts my enjoyment
>there's still less paid DLC than in World
Wrong. Rise has 427$ worth already and it isn't even done with it's TUs yet.
>Rise has a ton of armor unlockable through side quests
Also wrong. I'm playing through HR right now and there's no quests that have given unlockable armor, all there's been is requests that unlock weapon trees.
>That's way more egregious to me than some layered armors/weapons.
You're a dumbass then.
>game itself contains a shit-ton of armor
Funny joke.
>Wrong. Rise has 427$ worth already and it isn't even done with it's TUs yet.
I did the math and removing soundtracks and the expansions, the DLC comes out to about $40 in Rise's favor. I agree the balance will probably shift soon though.
>Also wrong. I'm playing through HR right now and there's no quests that have given unlockable armor, all there's been is requests that unlock weapon trees.
Not quests, side quests, i.e. those given to you by NPCs to go capture a monster, collect X number of parts, etc. A ton of them offer new armor and weapons designs. If you're still in HR you just may not have gotten them yet.
Also, if you're in HR how can you comment in the number of armors?
>Not quests, side quests, i.e. those given to you by NPCs to go capture a monster, collect X number of parts, etc.
I know the difference. I mentioned requests because those are the only things that have given me new weapon designs. I'm HR 82 and have done most of the optional quests yet haven't gotten a single armor set from them.
>Also, if you're in HR how can you comment in the number of armors?
The internet. Not that I'd need it to know that a game with no gunner armor, apex armor or armor for that qurio bullshit outside of Risens doesn't have a shit ton of armor. Especially compared to other entries in the series.
You clearly aren't using the meowcenaries and the submarine to get certain items for the non monster armors, there are a lot of armors behind that
Anon, he genuinely believes there are no armor layered or otherwise unlocked though event quests.
He's shitposting.
You clearly are a genuine mouthbreather.
>Rise has a ton of armor unlockable through side quests,
>Not quests, side quests, i.e. those given to you by NPCs to go capture a monster, collect X number of parts, etc.
>now moving the goalpost talking about the sets from meowcenary materials, which aren't side quests, and most of them like Vaik and Death Stench are from other games that again, had more sets than Rise.
You're the one shitposting moron. I was responding to that dumbass talking about getting sets from optional quests from villagers, nowhere did I mention that there were no event armor sets in the game. I already have the azure age usj armor.
It's not very good
The real answer is console warring.
Smaller in scope than World/Iceborne with worse performance and worse graphics. That's all it'll take for most people to rate it lower. Gameplay is just as good though with large enough differences that some will prefer one over the other. Personally I think Rise/Sunbreak gameplay would've been perfect if they hadn't gone for the switch skill gimmick, as is a lot of weapons get really shitty balancing like base game hammer's damage being concentrated entirely in a single wirebug skill or weapons get designed around switch skills that are either not fun at all, like Harvest Moon, or otherwise are so central to the weapon's flow that playing without them is moronic. If Rise had just made a single well-designed moveset for each weapon it would've turned out much better.
>pay wall dlc
>OG fans think it's too normie baby
>normies think it's not world homosexual enough
it's bad
It's almost nice they finally released HR content, shame they charged for it and there still isn't G rank.
About time they did something for hammer. No reduce the stun capability of other weapons and increase it for hammer and it’s fixed.
hol up
At this time of year?
At this time of day?
In this part of the old world?
Localized ENTIRELY within your melding pot?
*slips u the MP*
Yes
may I see it?
>Dual Blades — Spiral Slash: Attack power slightly increased; elemental scaling slightly increased.
I thought spiral slash was the single strongest thing the DB had
Yeah I've been doing dirty damage with it. Hitting for 100-120+ with EVERY hit of it, chain stunning the crabs even with anomaly buffs because of how absurd the damage is with full crit/cb/elecrit,mailofhellfire and 1 ele exploit and 5x element.
DB already felt stupidly good to me (though largely because I don't have to learn timings and can just zoom around, with very high DPS up time and huge burst when I actually feel out a time where I can drill-frick them)
I forgot I managed to slot in either 2 or 3 burst on top through qurio forging to reach that damage.
So still under 4.5m sales huh?
Personally I was expecting gunlance homosexuals to barge in claiming it's not enough and we're still F tier and need level 12 shelling for free
Didn't expect the hammergays to take their place
Honestly the GL lv8 buffs are gonna be nice enough themselves, doing some math ele. Wide GLs with poke-shell fighting could even end up stronger than long or normal fullburst spams, which were the meta way of playing and are also getting buffed by this change. I don't know shit about how the wirebug move changes will play out yet but those are just extras on top of what we needed. Really doubt GL will end up super strong but who cares, picking it wont mean 3-5 extra minutes on high level anomaly hunts anymore.
Shelling augment basically shut up every GL gay, myself included
The hail cutter buff is cool tho
Yeah all I want now is sneak attack as a deco or qurio skill and I'm set, though I wouldn't turn my nose up at risen teostra having an artillery boosting skill
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2022/11/capcom-reveals-meaty-patch-notes-for-monster-hunter-rise-sunbreaks-next-update
Notes
>Increased the number of Research Points you can earn for A2 - A6 monsters.
>Your quest level will now increase faster when completing an Anomaly Investigation.
>Increased the number of Anomaly Research points you can earn for Anomaly Quests and Anomaly Investigations from level 1 - 120.
Nice
Thank frick. My goal with every MH is to get the checkmark on every quest, so I have to grind AR up to get the next tier of quests but I'm pretty much set on weapons and armor, so it's just a slog.
wow I'm glad I decided to take a break
Aaaaand destroyer oil is still not worth using
>No long sword
So are we gonna pretend nerfing the spirit levels after nerfing to the ground HB was good?
LS is pretty damn strong right now. All it took was serene pose and Iai working properly inside the bing ring aswell as players getting more familar with monster specific matchups to push it past CB and right under Swaxe and GS
LS is the only weapon that has to play absolutely flawlessly or lose a massive portion of its damage, I think it deserves to be a little better
It was too strong in Rise where it was low risk and high reward but they swung a bit too hard in the other direction
Only thing I can think of is tweaking the radius on the ring and buff spirit reckoning back. Personally Intrepid Heart is a big game changer which lets you tank your mistakes and builds up back fast. If that skill didnt exist I'd probably going back to SS and SSC spam
So the GREATsword didn't get anything?
no one cares, dead game, wake me up when World 2 releases
>weapon gets buffed
>weapon "players" come out of the woodworks to complain about their "DPS"
every time, every game
I'm tired of modern gaming as well
I use IG like a wizard and people laugh at me, will this still be the case?
Kinsect damage still doesn't scale with your own stats at all so yes
Don't care still playing MHFU
>LS is the only weapon that has to play absolutely flawlessly or lose a massive portion of its damage
Jesus fricking christ, first the hammertard and now these idiots
Name one other weapon with a 2 wirebug damage buff that makes up almost half of your damage that drops if you sheathe your weapon.
No wonder non-speedrunners just play Sakura Slash spam into sacred sheathe instead.
This is me. Using Harvest Moon in MP is more or less impossible and Iai does almost no damage without it. Helm Breaker is still okay but I mostly use it when I don't feel like I have an opening for SSC and I have two wirebugs so I can quickly regain my meter with a SSS. I really think they need to buff the base Iai slash since there's almost no reason to use it without Harvest Moon now.
Also, I'm not great at the game, so going the casual route makes sense.
Spread HBG bros is crouching shot finally worth using
Swaxe sisters how we feeling
>still no lance buff
I just wish water strike could be used while charging and activated dodge skills or give you max charge instead of just letting you go into golfswing.
Like that water strike mod did, it was perfect.
Speaking of dodge skills, I kinda wish you could trigger Seregios' armor skill with counters or at least insta-block for lance
That's like the only thing that's making hammer take more effort than your average counter weapon
>Those gunlance and HBG changes
This all I wanted. now I can use crouching shot and feel powerful and finally hail cutter can be considered and the ground splitter buffs are quite nice.
Why are people so upset about hammer in this game? It's my most used weapon and I kill shit plenty fast despite it being the "weakest" weapon. How fast are you guys trying to go? How is 6-8 minutes not satisfactory?
It's because they want to kill everything like bowgun/bow speedrunner also to me 10-15 mins is fast casual time.
It's not the weakest though. It's damn near tied with Lance and SnS performance. It also has some moronic TA records in several matchups that put it near GS times. Hammer is sitting in a good spot
GL and Lance are the weakest.
And then half the other weapons are only like 5% stronger (according to TA times). Without comparing to ranged weapons and the outliers like GS, hammer ain't half bad, specially for casual online play.
Wait, lance has worse times than fricking HH? What's it with everyone saying lance is great now then?
Because it is great (to play)
But it's downed damage potential (the thing defining how good your weapon is at TAs) is not that big
Because all its' moves are actually now usable in Sunbreak. It's still won't down a monster left and right.
>What's it with everyone saying lance is great now then?
Because times only matter for speedrunning homosexuals, 99% of the playerbase cares about how fun the weapon is. Same reason people b***hing about hammer are homosexuals. So you'll take 2 minutes more than the best weapon used by top players on scripted runs WHO CARES
HH is like 5th or 6th blademaster weapon for clearing speed in Rise. Wake up, grandpa.
nu HH had its moveset simplified and damage buffed to appeal to braindead morons. Still almost no one plays that shit lmao
>lance damage multiplier not fixed
Huh
>implying anybody cares about this shitshow of a game
HAHAHA
>turn off ui elements you don't like
>turn down particle effects
>play alone
?????
Just don't acknowledge Eric.
>Sword & Shield: Applying Destroyer Oil now also restores some sharpness
nice, recently started playing it.
If your weapon doesn't have any usage on this chart then it's shit and I don't want to hear you ever talking about it again
speaking of lance, how do I get better with it?
should I be investing less in the guard/guard up and more in the evades?
Also, I don't remember which game gave lances way to much invincibility on side hops, that was fun, please tell me which game that was
>Side hops
Regular backhop was the most evasive one but yes, lance used to have extreme iframes on hops in 2nd gen. So FU.
4U and down let you cover your backhops with iframes completely so you were just invincible chaining them with evade+2/3
If you're using spiral thrust you want guard but if you're using anchor rage you can do without it
Having nu-HH on your team is basically having infinite protective polish
All sharpness melody horns are really bad
They're SO SCARED to make Chaos Oil II it's kinda funny. The sharpness thing was something a mod already did so I'm content but cmooooon gimme like 10 affinity it's fine what could possibly go wrong
It's not like affinity would even be good with how many existing sources of it we already have
Wait frick doesn't Partbreaker Oil only actually affect stagger and not part damage? I remember reading somewhere they're 2 different stats
Frick the affinity then just make it work like it should. Partbreaker doesn't get enough appreciation as a utility skill anyway, it blows some matchups up
Isn't stagger an effect that's caused by part damage thresholds?
At least i heard hammer's thingy basically boosts part damage and im pretty sure sns's does the exact same thing
>oil restores sharpness now
wow
it still sucks
Isn't it completing with shoryuken? It's real hard to replace something like that
yeah, I wish it was in the same slots as shield bash/falling shadow
Nobody will ever use oil instead of metsu or windmill
I don't know what they were thinking with some of these switch skill choices
SnS has like 2 choices really; metsu or windmill for iframes - hard basher or drill slash (elemental)
that's it, you select them and never think about it again cause the rest belongs in the garbage
if oil gave you protective polish or 10% raw, AND was replacing shield bash, then maybe it'd be decent
>SnSgays are so gay they oil themselves up
Can't make it up
Move like a mizutsune, strike like a nargacuga.
>the best way to play GS is still Strongarm Stance spam
But it's also the least fun to play it
I do think that the other stance could use a buff
Do we have any idea what to expect from the new gear? Also, apparently a new Melding type is being added.
I just hit MR 48 but I'm deciding whether to invest in my current stuff or wait until the release to see if it makes some of my gear moot.
>I just hit MR 48
Well, Risen Kush is MR120 and Teo is MR140, I think, so you'd only be able to make use of Chaotic's gear, but no idea what that'll have. The new melding type sounds interesting, hoping it actually has some good stuff. I'm still using talismans from High Rank.
Have they revealed what MR/AR we will need to be at for the new monsters?
120 and 140 for the new risen
Destroyer Oil is still trash. Why is the duration so fricking BAD. It should last a long-ass time and be intended for use on an alt scroll as a buff you reapply a handful of times.
Just have fun
there is zero reason I shouldn't be able to just search by parts for anomaly investigations, because it would make everything 10 times less annoying
write capcom/devs
there actually is a real chance they might add this if they get made aware of it
or maybe they just listen to japs and ignore gaijins but it can't hurt to try
I took the survey and put it in the comments, but I doubt it.
>new melding lets you have talismans with 3 skills
Anyone got the G. Magala morbing out webm?
Bring back the hunting horn you cowards.
That World combo is still in Rise, and good job not showing IB HH which was just spin to win
I'M SO FRICKING MAD THEY ABSOLUTELY BUTCHERED HH
LOOK HOW THEY MASSACRED MY GIRL
hate how they got rid of the 2 sovlfvl ways we did the recitals with HH.
hate how they tied the spin to win move behind a meter you build up. but to be fair i did spam that move in iceborne.
hate how they got rid of the ol' hilt stab combo shortcut. i miss being able to cut tails willy nilly with my fellow bladebros.
hate how it only plays the song of the Horn for like 1 second then disappears as opposed to before you really hear the horn in battle.
even after all the shit they fricked with and molested with HH the superpound move is still the tried and true way for me to deal with a monster.
i liked hunting horn in world and generations but swinging all over the place and having tiny multihits just feel like garbage compared to the massive hits you could get with encore, usually also stunned the monster
>one change to IG
ebin
>no charge blade buff
>no reinstall
Why would one of the better weapons with no bad moves get a buff
to make me play the game
Because it's fun, frick balance
>tanks FPS
I'm a....BITOFEXPERTBYTHISPOINTHAHA don't worry aboutyourgear.
Thought it was just me. For whatever reason, every time I talk to her my PC fans sound like a jet engine. Rest of the game is dead quiet.
My framerate only drops by like 10 when in the smithy, but the junction temp on my GPU jumps almost 10c if I turn off my undervolt.
They really need to fix this, it's such a weird issue. I had to turn on DLSS to stop it, which isn't a huge deal but it's weird. There must be some scaling issue with the furnace behind her or something.
I like how they completely missed ground splitter's problem of not persisting upon sheathing.
haven't played this since before TU2, what the frick do i need to do to my mods to not frick up my save?
remove them and wait for updates.
I didn't do anything from TU1 to TU2 and I was fine.
>those Gunlance buffs
I hope the increase to Ground Splitter's buff duration is substantial, I hate maintaining that shit.
>lv8 shelling
>these buffs
GODlance won tu3
Do we know the exact release time?
If I recall, the last updates were at 12pm Japan time on Friday. So, 7pm PST Thursday for me, adjust from there for your needs.
24th November, noon Japan time.
DAILY REMINDER
MH Rise is NOT a MonHun game. It's a monster fighter game designed form pleb brained NPC normies with very short attention spans.
If you want real MonHun at the very, very least, go play GU.
>It's a monster fighter
So a monster hunter game.
No, moron. I understand you're probably a pedophilic tendie and Rise if your first MH game. But, no, Rise is not Monster Hunter.
Monster Hunter required you to prep for each hunt, to know the monsters intimately. You had to know the maps, the know the monsters move sets, know what set and weapon you needed. You had track the monster, hunt them, then mark with them with a paint ball for when the ran.
Rise is just bullshit. You don't have to put any thought into sets or weapons. You don't have to hunt the monsters, or track them when they run.
It's not even close to a Monster Hunter game.
Now run along and post some more e-girl waifus and pretend you're not a pedo.
God I fricking hate Tendies more than anything.
man this thread was good so far you dumb b***h
You should have just ignored eric like the rest of the thread did.
At this point we may as well just egg him on until he has an aneurysm because he isn't leaving any time soon.
>Monster Hunter required you to prep for each hunt, to know the monsters intimately. You had to know the maps, the know the monsters move sets, know what set and weapon you needed. You had track the monster, hunt them, then mark with them with a paint ball for when the ran.
Yeah no. All you had to do was learn the spawn locations and the game just became the same "monster fighter" you hate rise for being. Hell most didn't even use paintballs especially in gen 3 and beyond where the shadow was easy to track.
Sorry kiddo but the monster hunter you thought it was doesn't actually exist.
I wonder if you created the idea be ause you always wanted to play it but never could. That would also explain the irrational hatred of a group of people who don't exist
Sorry kiddo, you and your little pedo tablet lost. Rise is not Monster Hunter and it never will be.
>pedo
Hmm, you seem to be saying this a lot. You wouldn't happen to be projecting would you?
Are you guilty of something?
Also rise is a multiplat, I could care less about the switch.
>Also rise is a multiplat, I could care less about the switch.
post steam stats
Sure when I get home.
Do you think I'd waste my time here talking to you if I could be on my PC?
>when I get home
lmao
sure thing, Champ. Gotta get the photoshop fired up, aye?
Don't own any editing software but at least we know you haven't played a single game now.
Anything you say, Sport. We'll be here waiting for your photoshopped steam stats. But, I'm sure, as luck will have it, the thread will be long dead before your "get home."
Right, Champ?
See here's the thing. I don't even need to post stats nothing I've said is dependent on it.
>claims not to be a tendie
>makes claim he plays non-MH Rise on PC
>starts making excuses why he can't post steam stats
hmmmmmm
how many waifu and e-girl simulators do you have on your switch, fatboy?
I said I didn't care for the switch nothing more nothing less, everything else you just imagined.
>how many waifu and e-girl simulators do you have on your switch
You tell me, you know more about my switch than I do.
I started with Tri. So as a MASSIVE oldgay, my opinion is worth more than yours.
And I say Rise is fun.
No you didn't. Why do you come to Ganker and just lie?
Did it hurt you feels? To bad little b***h.
Because it makes me feel good being an original gay of the Monster Hunter series.
aren't you technically a massive newbie? i'm a tribab too but i don't play the og card
The only real OGs are those who used the right thumb stick to swing the weapon (and only when it actually came out, not 15 years later). They are far and few between now.
GS charge? we don't need no stinking charge. carves only. final destination.
I unironically used right analog attacks in tri because I gave MH1 a test run to see if I'd like the series and didn't have a PSP back then.
Are you the moron I've been arguing with?
No
What your starting point says about you:
>Gen 1 = fossils
>Gen 2 = OGs
>Gen 3 = veterans
>Gen 4 = fans
>Gen 5 = normies
>gunlance gets buffed every update through either new skills or balance changes
>will soon be able to make absolutely ridiculous long 8 builds
Wonder if they will introduce shelling level 9 by the end though
monkey see monkey do hehe
But if monke see monkey do, where did Rajang learn to bully Kirins
Still using Bow.
gunlance and switch axe gay here
what are the changes relative to me
no I will not read the op or Google patch notes
Prowlers when?
That is reserved for real MH games. Hell, even Storeis 1 and 2 are more Monster Hunter than Rise.
Prowler when
>still havent made ground splitter buff stay when you sheathe your weapon
jesus christ capcom why.
It's so stupid when they went and made the eruption cannon buff which doesn't kill itself when you sheathe.
Because you're supposed to use your mobility options to stay on top of the monster without sheathing
>B-but I need to heal
You have a shield and a moronic amount of iframes with RBD, use them.
It's not really that big of a problem anymore since lance can just (reverse) blast dash to move around.
use redirection
>replaying tri
>fight pic related
>roars 3 times in a row and stays on the ceiling for 80% of the fight
why do people miss him again? this was arguably a worse experience than khezu in FU or any mh game, holy frick.
Khezu is literally the same but even more boring.
playing around poison fart clouds is infinitely more boring
except when khezu is in the snow mountains hes never actually in a cave where he stays on the ceiling the entire time.
I still can't believe Sunbreak redeemed Lance, alao props to them for the good changes done to Hammer and IG
>you will likely be able to roll sneak attack on talismans
gunlance bros..
Sneak attack is a meme for shellgays that would rather play GL like a bowgun, definitely not worth getting on a talisman
It was not worth getting it because the rest of the set was fricking garbage
just qurio craft bro
>+1 Mushroom Mancer + 4 def up
>-1 Sneak Attack
I just want talismans that don't fricking suck dick. Haven't rolled a single good talisman besides rapid morph 3 wirebug whisperer 3 with a level 4 slot.
I had been using a charm I got in early HR Rise like a year ago up until a month ago when I got one that was *slightly* better a few months ago.
Finally
Break dancing HH > Old HH.
Im liking the gunlance buffs. With hail cutter being 1pt you can spam wyvern fire with long GL since 2 HCs will give you a full recharge. Theres also the fact that ground splitter will be lasting longer and on a shorter cooldown. I think its currently 25sec recharge and lasts 30seconds? If its something like 15sec with a 40-45sec buff it will be amazing to use.
Soon GLbros
Gunlance will still be F tier and slower than HBG
>and slower than HBG
a lot of weapons are slower than HBG
Then make the ones that are better
>Dual Blades — Spiral Slash: Attack power slightly increased; elemental scaling slightly increased.
>let's make DB's strongest move even stronger
for what possible reason
Made for katknot
Made for big hunter wiener (mine)
