Making the roadblock a blackout is lame. However, the blackout ends up being story-related and you solve the issue yourself. I think that part is cool. I think it's great when games make the roadblocks a part of the story and not just something arbitrary that eventually disappears on its own because you advanced enough in the story.
I recently replayed Crystal and it has a pretty weird roadblock.
So you get to Kanto, and one of the first things you see is the Snorlax, so you can't get to the other side of Kanto. If you go to Fuchsia to try and reach Cinnabar and Pallet, there will be a lot of rocks blocking you from surfing down. Once you get rid of the Snorlax, the rocks simply disappear.
>"Sorry, there's a blackout" >Lights are still visibly on
This is probably the laziest roadblock in all series.
is better because it's meant to be a joke
It's really not. A)That one isn't even supposed to be taken seriously, B)it doesn't fit contextually("we're doing it for no reason" vs "there's a blackout past here, but ignore the lights!")
>just pretend all the shit parts are epic jokes
have a nice day
Apparently, you don't understand when something is very obviously just meant to be satire on the genre. It's literally bad on purpose to criticize the usage of those roadblocks.

The first half of Lumiose City already has more stuff to do than all of Castelia City. Castelia City is actually disappointingly small and has zero replayability compated to Lumiose.
Responses like this shows there are newfags flooding in.
No one ever complained about the existence of the roadblock. Yes we know other games have roadblocks. What people complained about were the lights still being on in the background and another gif where an NPC walks past him. These are ultimately just oversights. It's a joke complaint. You don't need to deflect to any other gen because it is a JOKE.
I mean, there have been dumb fuck roadblocks in every game. Even including the open world SV.
XY has soul, it's main flaw is that it's too easy. Even for a pokemon game, which by default is already easy.
For me I was a non-toddler and had the 3ds instead of the 2ds like all the zoomy's parents bought them. What does that mean? I had the 3D slider on my screen and I always had that shit turned up to max, took a minute to get used to but I really miss those weird ass 3d effects.
Although Sun and Moon were based for having Lilly, GF took away the 3D feature because the 2ds was the huge seller at that point. Still mad. A 3d sun and moon would have been sick.

this is why HMs were a good thing
HMs were in Gen 6 you moron, try playing the games next time
i didn't say they weren't.
but they weren't used to create natural roadblocks so it's still a problem.
This but slurpers need instant gratification so this is all we get.

dont you mean rabid
Good catch, I couldn't figure out what word he meant to use.
still better than
>WE ARE LE DANCING FOR NO REASON XD
>filtered by the dancing men
for shame, anon. for shame.

Alright wise guy, tell me, what is the definition of satire?
NTA, but claiming ineptitude as satire isn't a good thing.

>gen 5
>here's this bustingly metropolis you can fully explore right from the get go
>gen 6
>lol sorry come back later

Which is still less silly than
>WE ARE LE DANCING FOR NO REASON XD
Should have posted the gif version instead
How many times are you going to make these threads?
Is gen 6 GTS still working?
Just realize I didn't finish the pokedéx of this game and need to make a lot of trades to be able to get some.
My 3ds says it needs an update, but I don't know if its for real or just standard since 3ds is dead
Gts is still working yes and the 3ds got an update a few months ago so if you hacked it you're better off just hacking the pokemon in it too it's easy
Yeah it should be real.
My 3ds has the latest update and it works just fine even though it's homebrewed. You just have to update Luma first.

My headcanon is that he's just fucking with you
>anons that never go outside confused by local traffic only
discord sisters... we are collecting L's for almost a month, no stop. what we should do??? i'm literally cutting my wrists for weeks now!
It's criminal how long they make you wait to learn certain roller skating tricks. Like, hello, is there any other reason to play this game?!
>letting nig-nogs roam free
Do Kalosians really?
makes about as much sense as being unable to go around a tired old man in kanto
