"SV already looks better than gen 1, 2, 3 , 4, 5, 6 , 7, and , 8"
No wonder homosexual
But don't worry that you won't know what the hole in there is or represents, even though gen 4, 5 , 6 , 7 , 7 , 8, already imply what that is, even after you'll play the game you won't understand the sense of this map. And that's not the fault of the game but of your brain
All odd gens are objectively the best, have the most character and passion put into them, got Masuda sweating for how much passion he put while being terrified that they would fail for changing so much from the classical gens, and the most cool new stuff. For me a succession of quality is represented by gen 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9. The only actually good even gens are 4 and 6 but they tend to be too traditional and linear on the scheme, in fact even gens got all the worst and blandest plots
I think it's usually because even gens start off on a new system, DS for gen 4, 3DS for gen 6 for example, and they usually tend to be rough because they don't really know how to use the hardware I'm guessing, and then by the even gen after like 5 and 7, they know how to by then and flesh out what they can do with the hardware before they move to the next Nintendo handheld.
The cities straight have like 10+ buildings what the actual frick are you on about. The towns are the size of cities from past games, with 5-10 buildings.

SV already looks better than Gens 6, 7, and 8.
The region does look pretty fun to traverse, I'll give you that.
The map is so well made and big that you failed to notice the other 9 cities
Looks comfy as frick, I’m glad this will all be explorable. Hopefully it won’t be like PLA which was actually just be a hub city where you can head out to different areas
Looking over the map, it's genuinely perfect pokemon level design for me. It has cities and towns scattered around, connected via a system of routes, like before, but now it's like all the space was filled in and there's so much more open space, and hidden areas in every single fricking corner of the map. Like I can count loads of isolated areas on the map that can only be discovered via easily missable optional off shoot paths, some you need to cross water to get to, some likely need to be flown/climbed/jumped to, but they're certainly traversable. I can even spot some caves/dungeon areas. Not to mention the trailer sneakily confirmed the existence of caves not shown on the map, so there could be loads of unseen areas like the old games too. I'm just so hyped bros, the map is so detailed that I've already started planning my progression path through the map. I was worried the open world meme would make the map boring to traverse, but there's plenty of bottle necks and separate paths that keep the region interesting to venture through
I've been thinking that bottom left town and area is actually only reachable via climbing, or that cave. The fact they added the cave on the map makes me think its notable enough.
This also makes me think you won't necessarily have climbing as an ability from the off, because it would invalidate need for the cave.
I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but given how reserved they're being with information this time around I hope they censored the post game area like they used to do. Gen 3, 4, 5, and 6 all had early maps that covered up the post game with clouds but then 7 and 8 stopped that trend. I want it back.
if you compare the lake on the top left with in-game footage you can see it's tiny as frick

Anything looks tiny if you refuse to have anything to hide far off objects; which SV clearly barely does.

except the lake's not far off, just up close and tiny

Ah yes, its real up close from up this giant cliff. From a pretty downwards angle which would be shaving off extra length.
Sure its not going to be frickoff huge(mind you, thats a good thing as the open world meme of throwing in shitloads of canned content to just brag about your garbage map isn't a thing.)
But its also clearly not small.

A Blackrock employee made this thread
you will eat the bug types
you will live in the pokeball
and be happy
Kalos as a region was pretty neat though
I'm worried about the open-world meme, it kinda tends to ruin level design
How was Kalos a neat region and how does open world ruin level design? Genuinely asking.
Because that's what other people online say and they seem to be right

I gotta say gen 7 was good, but gen 7 somehow kicked it up another notch even further.

Gen 2's pretty gud tho

What happened to regions nowadays?
There's like 10 cities on this map wtf are you on
>3 houses
>a city
City or town homosexual, doesn't matter.
Most other languages don't even do the distinction ffs
So, like any other fricking pokemon game?

Its crazy just how few people there are here like you who care about talking about the games as actual games.

The Southern Kalos is actually included. Interesting.

If you look at the Map as a "traditional" region it seems decently sized. 9 or more towns/cities, ~12 routes, and plenty of other areas on the side.
if you compare the lake on the top left with in-game footage you can see it's tiny as frick

Tbh I liked it better when regions had more realistic designs this looks more akin to something out of Zelda then Pokémon
Looks like Disney World
now now OP, you don't need to pretend gen 5 and 4 are good. Reddit won't hurt you.
