Switch 2 (whatever the name)
Assuming it gets FF7 remake it will also get FF7 rebirth?
Could Square release FF 16 as well?
So why get a PS5 if you can play Zelda, FF7 rebirth, Mario, CoD, Mortal Kombat, RE, etc.
I don't intend to replace my computer which has a Gtx 1080 so if the switch 2 has most current games plus the backward catalog of the Switch 1 then it's a total win for Nintendo.
Haven't bought any Nintendo since the Snes and GB.
What's your take?
>Assuming it gets FF7 remake
Why would you assume that?
Recent rumors.
I'm convinced that Squeenix way out of their stagnation is to fully adopt the next Nintendo hardware (not necessarily exclusives).
I see it as win win situation, what do you think?
Why would you believe the rumors? What makes them credible?
>No answer
Okay.
See this
Would make sense for Square to be less dependent on the PS5 for big titles.
See how FF7 remake fare on Switch 2. Probably have targets in mind then release the FF7 rebirth, FF16 etc.
I don't see the 2 blu Ray disk being a problem. They could probably optimize stuff.
>See the post you replied to, which has no information or reasons to believe recent rumors
I did. Why do you believe the rumors?
Because it makes sense business wise.
Nintendo/Square releases FF7 remake which must not cost much and use it as a marketing move. "Look! big Square titties are back on Nintendo!", then Square can release FF7 rebirth on Switch 2 and PC after PS5. So even if sales are not satisfactory on the PS5, it could be profitable to release it on the next Nintendo device.
>No reason to believe the leaker
I'm done here, enjoy your useless thread.
No one cares about FF7R.
You realize 7R is big because 70% of the the game is uncompressed FMVs, right? Optimizing is not going to help shit
That you will stop spamming so many yoshida threads at least
You also forget a lot of normies have their friends on ps and pc
I love how suddenly tendies admit they would buy the modern ff games kek
Also why buy a switch 2 having steam deck
OP here, I'm absolutely not a tendie.
I bought FF7 remake on Steam as I don't appreciate Epic much.
The deck is interesting but a Switch 2 is more interesting if I can finally play all the Zelda I missed. Did OoT and Majora's Mask on emu.
I would get the Steam Deck if it had more firepower.
The deck can play all the Zelda games you missed. Even the ones on the switch.
Maybe he’s not a poorfag Huemonkey/Turkroach/Chink/Russian like you.
I love how everytime someone brings the deck "t-they are not poor!"
This board is so full of nintendo marketers is hilarious. Maybe he doesn't want 2 portables when he already can play more games on Steam Deck
As a q3 Deck owner, I don't know why you would recommend one to this guy when he specifically said he wants more horsepower and Nintendo games. Switch 2 sounds like a good fit for him especially if it has dlss 3 and z1e-esque performance.
That being said, yeah it won't even be a comparison user experience and gameplay wise. Deck has like 3x as many games verified now compared to the Switch library.
Nintendo struggled 6 years to make botw 1.5, this is mostly to get the third party games and those are already better on pc, with better prices and free online
I didn't recommend him anything. I just told him that the Deck also does what he wants.
I don't own a deck, I'm waiting for a hardware revision, but I know what it can do.
Sure thing tendie, so much antiff16 spam only for you to drop your panties with ff16 on switch 2
Stop abusing the space button retard
Already got all that and more on a steam deck.
This. If anything all I will buy are Decks from now on
The only reason it'll run ff7r is because that's a ps4 game and you can bet it'll run at 30fps on the Switch 2. This isn't going to be some magic Series S comparable handheld. Expect performance between a Steam Deck and a Lenovo Legion, but with superior battery life.
>FF7 Remake is 100+gb on PC
>FF7 Rebirth is 200+gb on PS5 and need 2 blu ray discs
>Retards still think the game is going to fit Switch 2 cartidge
Its also suHispanicious to have mortal kombat 1 on switch and not announce it with switch2
Not sure the Steam Deck would run FFXVI or even my gtx 1080...?
Why wouldnt it? Starfield and ff7r are perfectly playable there
>FF7 as a launch title
They're retarded.
Now Elden Ring on a handheld would be a system seller
Other than that you're absolutely right. If it's as powerful as ps4 then it will obliterate the competition
>Now Elden Ring on a handheld would be a system seller
With how the DLC is coming out next year, From could package it later with the base game as Elden Ring GOTY Edition and put it as third party launch title for Switch 2. That would make crazy fucking bank I'd reckon.
Thanks. I will keep waiting and put any purchase on hold.
Alternatively, any of you had experience with the Asus Rog with the external graphic deck? Or just build a computer at this price and stream it to the TV?
>stream it to the TV
Just plug a HDMI cable in. You get crazy input lag on a TV tho, so I almost only use it for movies/letting someone else watch me play. You wouldn't use it as a replacement monitor, the refresh rate of a TV is way too low.
>Assuming it gets FF7 remake it will also get FF7 rebirth?
Probably
Even if the game normally requires 16GB to run, I wager Square will bite the bullet and figure out how to get SFS working in the game to fit it onto Switch 2
>FF16
Sure, that game has some other issues due to the amount of heat release needed but it could work in theory
>So why get a PS5 if you can play Zelda, FF7 rebirth, Mario, CoD, Mortal Kombat, RE, etc.
Well the simple fact is that a lot of people have big PS4 libraries and just want to upgrade to the new thing, the same way PC gamers aren't going to move to consoles really if they play the majority of multiplats and AAA on PC
could it play gta 6?
Considering we don't have GTA V, a fucking PS3 game, on switch...
Purely file size. Even with data on the cartridge and a download you wouldn't fit it on a base system. I know everyone at their dog has SD cards in their Switches, but Nintendo wouldn't like selling a game that absolutely requires one.
I hope they do 16GB RAM
Realistically it'll be 8
the rumors have it at 12
Nah that's too much it'll be 8 I'm sure
The rumors have it your mom is a whore.
is the direct announcement today?
I fucking hate speculations
No
Fuck you, it is.
Show 1 (one) piece of evidence
Pyoro liked an X post that said 13
Those Nintendo Direct and PS state of play are 99% of the time useless without major announcement.
>Assuming it gets FF7 remake it will also get FF7 rebirth?
Yes, it'll probably drop around the same time as the PC version. I assume with the Xbox partnership Square has sprung up, Remake will probably drop on Switch 2 and Xbox at the same time. You'll no doubt see FFXIV hit Switch 2 not long after launch as well.
One thing I know for certain is that Switch 2 is not going to have backward compatibility. Switch games are required specific chip to run and adding that chip to the new console would cost too much, if Switch 2 has DLSS like the leaks said then it's already expansive as fuck without it. It's the exact same reason PS5 doesn't have PS3 backward compatibility.
This is not a problem for Nintendo since now they have an excuse to rerelease their games again at full price on new platform. You will pay 70$ for BoTW deluxe edition and you gonna like it.
>One thing I know for certain is that Switch 2 is not going to have backward compatibility
Nintendo confirmed it would be backwards compatible a month or so ago in a statement about a Hypothetical Switch successor.
That's the one thing we know for a fact will happen.
>Nintendo confirmed it
No, they didn't. Stop being delusional.
