TrainwrecksTV: Twitch forced me to turn down $1.2 million streaming deal "I was thinking of doing no camera streams and not telling Twitch."
Everyone is leaving Twitch and pretty soon it’ll just be Dr Disrespect and a bunch of titty streamers left. Maybe that’s his violent, speedy, momentously horny grand plan. Of course the reason for the desertion is a combination of Twitch sucking ass – speech codes, banning people for doing yoga in GTA, and other weirdo shit that happens when nasty old harpies run the show – and competitor streaming platforms outright paying popular streamers to move over. Now TrainwrecksTV, who is very handsome and cool, has revealed in an IRL stream with Esfand and that grandmother character from MTV that Twitch forced him to turn down a $1.2 million streaming…

An army of angry Winnie the Poohs is preparing to storm this year’s BlizzCon "They can't ban us all."
Everyone is expecting this year’s BlizzCon to be a shitshow of epic proportions, and for good reasons. Now it looks like the Blizzard/China hullabaloo is even going to result in an army of Winnie the Pooh costumed activists trying to force themselves into the event. Winnie the Pooh has been banned in China ever since someone noticed the bear bears a striking resemblance to Xi Jinping. You may have already seen the many memes saying as much. This is what we need at Blizzcon, except with Winnie the Pooh.#BoycottBlizzcon #BoycottBlizzard pic.twitter.com/1aVWK1irsG — Klara Sjöberg (@klara_sjo) October 13, 2019 Winnie the Pooh cosplayers preparing to enter Blizzcon pic.twitter.com/9d3Ehir7nv — 🧸Jasmin🧸 (@Sleepy_Jasmin)…

Blizzard suspends Hearthstone champion Blitzchung for supporting Hong Kong The video game developer/publisher is the latest corporation to publicly humiliate itself in service of Chinese masters.

Toeing China’s communist party line to own the gamers Game journalists' quest to one-up "entitled gamers" leads them to some strange places.
When it comes to censorship, China is an absolute mess. Despite becoming an economic superpower and embracing at least some parts of capitalism to enter the 21st century, the mentality of the Chinese government remains firmly authoritarian and deeply suspicious of humor. Let’s start with the Winnie the Pooh silliness. Chinese president Xi Jinping really, really doesn’t like being compared to the lovable character. Winnie’s fat, and so is the President. That’s no bueno. Memes about him looking a lot like the old bear began in 2013 when a picture of Xi and Obama walking together was juxtaposed with a picture of Winnie walking with Tigger. Xi was again compared…

World of Warcraft blamed for child jumping off building and dying Parents allege that the World of Warcraft addicted boy jumped from a 24-story window in reenactment of the game.
Blizzard faces a lawsuit as parents of a World of Warcraft player claims their 13-year old jumped to his death as a reenactment of the MMORPG. According to Chinese news agency Xinhua, parents of the child say the child was addicted to World of Warcraft and jumped from a 24-story window on December 27, 2004 in a reenactment of the game. TGDaily had this to add: We translated the original Chinese language article and found out that just before committing suicide, the boy left four letters and one hand-written note to his parents. In addition, he also logged onto World of Warcraft and told fellow players goodbye. The boy, who…

China’s Communist Youth League to release ‘patriotic’ game titled ‘Anti-Japan War Online’ And it's everything you expect. The "patriotic game" will of course only allow you to play as China.
According to Interfax China, Chinese game publisher PowerNet Technology is set to develop a new MMO game with the help of the China Communist Youth League (CCYL). The game is called Anti-Japan War Online and leverages the political strife that has long marked relations between the two Asian superpowers. The game, currently in beta and due out this year, will recreate the WWII Japanese invasion of China between 1937 and 1945, and give players a “patriotic feeling when fighting invaders to safeguard their motherland,” according to PowerNet Project Manager Liu. Players will band together to take on the Japanese forces, but will be forced to play on the side of…
