This fricking thing as well as arguably hisuian avalugg are the only regional form that seem to have been actively designed to be weaker than their regular counterparts and I honestly don’t know why. My best guess is that someone at GF give a shit about the og owl and didn’t want it to become obsolete like regular typhlosion and sammurott.

Corsola is from West Kanto and therefore specifically designed to fail completely, ever see any success at any endeavor, and be despised so that KANTOOOOOOOOmons can look better.

OG Farfetch'd is a joke mon at its core. It's Japanese Name (カモネギ) directly means to imply it's a valuable Pokemon, a golden opportunity literally laying itself out for you, and because it can only be obtained through trade in RGB, that further leans into the concept.
Then you trade a Spearow for it, a Pokemon who actually becomes the fairly impressive Fearow if you just kept it around for a few more levels to let it evolve, and quickly discover that your golden opportunity is actually pure shit stat-wise, and unlike Fearow, doesn't get the benefit of learning the extremely useful Drill Peck.
The fact they gave it a regional shows they didn't have any ideas to further toy around with its punchline concept, whereas with Dunsparce later down the line they easily figured out how to further build upon its own joke as Pokemon's very own Tsuchinoko.

The legend starters should have gotten Megas, But Game Freak were cowards and didn't want Decidueye to overshadow BaraTigerofHealthyMeta, Typhlosion to overshadow CHARIZARD, or a Unova Starter to become too good at risk of making Kantoturds through another tantrum.

Rillaboom was obviously designed to flop just like inceleon in order to shill Cinderace (the starter that was actually designed to be competitively busted), they just didn’t think the grassy surges/glide combo would be so strong. That’s why they tried to nerf it to the ground in gen 9 but failed.

Anon, it's because TPC is pushing a narrative against Aurorus and Tyrantrum. Aurorus lost to Dragonite and a wild Tyrantrum was KO'd by Mew.

I heard a rumor that every other starter will also get access to the battle bond ability(the gen 9 version) so let's theorize on how both owls can benefit from it. I know deci-A will probably gain more viability then deci-H due to typing and having slightly more speed. The only way i can see deci-H standing a chance is if they gave him victory dance because once you give bim a perfect boosting option he sould be able to cheese his way through the lower tiers. I wanna predict what tier they'd both end in but it always depends on the meta. Gen 9 has crazy power creep. Just a reminder that Staraptor is now pu and Snorlax is untierd

Would never happen. Only KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO’s, whatever starters get picked for PLZA, and maybe the Kalos OR Hoenn starters will get it.

They'll probably give it to the rest of the starters in gen 10. Battle bond Decidueye would be a massive glow up at least for the alola version. Scrappy is pretty solid on the hisuian one he's just missing Victory dance or a good speed boosting move
