>Tales of Arise - Beyond The Dawn is an interesting epilogue in concept, but stale questing, trite plotting, and thin overall content lead to an underwhelming expansion.

It’s so over Talesbros…
>stale questing, trite plotting, and thin overall content
Ah, so just like the main game?
I really liked the visuals and gameplay in Arise. And the fact that there wasn't some four hour prologue and the game started off with a bang.
But after that initial bang, it sorta fizzles. Leads are very basic. The plot is very whatever and the party members all sorta lack an identity. The gameplay kept me going, but the plot was just as forgettable as could be. It's weird how much FFXVI has in common with it. I hope the next project feels a bit more coherent.
It gets fucked by the 5th lord. It had a lot of promise by the 3rd lord but fizzles out in the 4th
Yeah. That's about when I started to lose interest. Shame too.
FPBP, literally opened the thread to post something similar
What a fucking shit game
I'm tempted to claim you're a shill because the game is genuine irredeemable SHIT
>DLC made over two years in the making
>give no new gameplay mechanics whatsoever
For what purpose?
israeliteco is being israeliteco, nothing new.
Do people even care for Arise anymore? I remember beating the game and feeling absolutely confused by why so many people were praising it when it was one of the blandest pieces of shit I’ve played in a long while.
It’s not even an actual Tales game.
You're right
Die Hard 3 wasn't originally a Die Hard film either
It was originally called Simon Says, they didn't think it would stand on its own so made it Die Hard
Its also why the ending is so rushed
Biggest Tales marketing push and a lot of "hype" anime moments for ironic weebs. They got one of the Hoe-boive EN girls to shill this, so I imagine some of that weird praise is from her cult of lobotomized simps
>As one quest example, a well-meaning Dahnan tailor wants to offer a gesture of peace to a nearby Renan settlement, so he offers food at their doorstep. However, this causes Zeugles to hang out in the area, so you need to take them out. You do that, collect a reward, Alphen mentions "We have to keep moving forward one step at a time", and you're done. Its general sentiment is fine - Dahnans and Renans slowly beginning to live together - but the implementation is hollow. Having this all wrapped up under the lacking overall presentation of sidequests doesn't help matters, with the rote structure, canned animations, and often unvoiced lines. Nearly all of these quests take place in areas from the original game, too, so you are often literally retreading old ground
THAT’LL BE 30 DOLLARS BTW
>expansion is literally just more fetch quests and a short epilogue
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Literally just like the actual game. You find quests by seeing an exclamation mark during fast travel. So you fast travel to that quest instead, make a beeline to the quest giver and fetch whatever he asks for by pulling up the fast travel with the quest marker again.
>stale questing, trite plotting, and thin overall content
Man, I'm sick and tired of devs cutting up the main game then selling it as DLC
Should have just ported graces, xillia, abyss.....
Also nobody likes the adopted child cuck, give them their own kid instead
so is she really vholran's daughter like everyone predicted?
>content with main game
>dissatisfied with dlc
It's that bad huh.
>While I felt Tales of Arise's combat was one of its stronger suits
Is this guy fucking serious?
>expecting game journos to actually get combat systems
I will never replay Tales of Arise. This game has the most boring cast in the series and you can't even combo bosses. I did not regret spending money on Berseria but I definitely regret spending money on Arise.
>started it
>stopped before the first dungeon
>other games came out and I never got back to it
Is it worth returning to?
No
Tales of arise was the worst game in the franchise and I hope they fire the writrr
