Tales of Festival announces no new games. Again.

There was no game news or updates at all at Tales of Festival 2024, with fans expressing worry about the Series' future. Right before the Festival though, Producer Tomizawa posted "the development team is working hard everyday toward the future".
That said, there have been a bunch of complaints about this year's Festival:
>no preorder/mail option for some merch like previous years
>same price of 13k yen for seats regardless of seat location
>seats were not known until the day of the Fes
>no new info is disappointing

I think the series has gotten to the point where new game announcements are only going to happen during bigger events like Nintendo/Sony presentations and such, not ones like these anymore.

This. Arise was shown at a Microsoft event. We don't need Tales of Festival for game reveals anymore. They just have those for fans now.

It's just a Tales flavored convention.

Where are the ports? Wasn't the last ports Vesparia like 6 years ago?
Port Abyss, Hearts, Graces. Even Xilia.

Vesperia DE was in 2019. Symphonia remastered was even more recently. Tomizawa said on his twitter Vesperia DE took 3 years to make, I doubt they're even working on one at the moment

        >No 60FPS
        >Basicaly just a port of the 2015 PC version.
        >remastered.
        So 5 years then.

There's a chance they may have been working on one, but it got killed when Bamco announced they were cancelling a bunch of projects earlier this year.

Making remasters/ports of old games like Xillia, Graces f and such would be easy money for them but I guess they are moronic.

People expecting game announcements at TalesFes are completely misunderstanding what the fes is.
THEY DO NOT DISCUSS GAMES THERE.
Its more like a stage show with 2 hour long skits. You can see here:

It would be a terrible place to make new announcements because the general public does not have access to it. You have to pay money to see it.

They announced Berseria there and shared updates on the mobile games there.

Berseria was rushed out to distract from the Zestiria mess. In 16 years of Fests, that was the only new game they announced there because of the circumstances.
Updates on already known titles isn't a big deal. Anyone playing those games would find out the next day anyway from the game itself.

When bamco announces a new title they're gonna want to announce it in a place that people that aren't going out of their way to find the news will see it.

Tales fans will always use Talesfes as a copium tank as Nintendo fans use Nintendo directs as one

I would like to give a shoutout to Bandai Namco for killing the Tales of series. FF7 Remake is the best action RPG on the market right now because they stopped making Tales games and we at Square Enix could not be more grateful.

    Good.
    I don't want another Arise.
I rather they remaster and/or port the old guard and let the franchise rest.

I can only assume they mean working on their resumes for after they get closed down.
