I have this ability of deciding to block e-celebs from entering my mind. Sadly Matt Mercer made it in, so I know the name and the face. Sometimes I only remember Mercer and not Matt, so that's good. I don't know the others.
Not bad, games can drag on similar to, but not nearly as badly as Talisman.

I think my group had the most fun with it in the middle.
The start was rough with a lot of the results and cards seeming arbitrary and triggering a lot of 'wish I had fricking known' moments.
Middle was when we had enough of a grasp of it and knew what to expect that it was fun, competitive, and still threw the occasional curveball.
At the end we all figured out the most effective and practical path to victory so it's just a matter of seeing who the dice and shuffle favor.
I've only played it once and this was our experience as well. If you think you will play it multiple times, then go for it, otherwise pass. Admittedly that's good advice for any game.
We absolutely play it a lot. With the quest cards and the story writing idea rather than a specific point allotment. There should be a free PDF on how to play that on BGG.
