Going back to valorant, the game is very team oriented, in tf2 12v12 its common that a medic demo can carry the game but its very rare a player can solo lost you the game, in valorant you can't afford a 4v5, you need team coordination but you won't find any since the game has that ego element too, as i said earlier the skull in your hud, the gays that peek instead of holding an angle just for the ego play and the fact that fancy skin effects appear when you are good. Most default melees arent good just for inaction, the unlockable melees just provide utility, and even with that you can't just replace your main weapons for melee unless you are playing demonight but you need a shield anyway so doesn't count, the other weapons are mostly side grades, the only blatant weapon upgrade is the crussaders crossbow, but anything is better than the syringe gun with is a shit weapon on porpoise, is designed to teach the medic not to fight because hes a healer not a fighter, that just reinforces my point about the design. Also you can unlock the sandwich by the first achievement milestone so its fine

The game is counter strike except instead of everyone getting access to smokes and flashes you choose what utility you get access to at the start of the game. Every character's most important and impactful ability is getting headshots with the same guns as everyone else.
