It's supposed to capitalize on nostalgia, but we learned from Let's Go! that translating 1:1 in 3D but with new mechanics like roaming Pokemon doesn't work because it's small and cluttered. But just doing a near-identical remake but with 3D models like BDSP is equally lame and feels pointless.

Give me the familiar in a new presentation. Make the pathway the same so people going in know, "Oh yeah, after you defeat Brock ,you go to Mt. Moon!" but redesign all the towns. Take some influence from how the anime designed the towns, change up some Pokemon locations (It was nice in Lets Go you had things like rare Bulbasaur spawns in Viridian forest). Add a few more special event Pokemon so it's not just Snorlax to mix it up a little.

Also, don't get rid of the fricking features people like in the game, such as abilities, breeding, and the ability to catch Pokemon normally and not with Go! mechanics. I wish PLA's catching mechanics would become a staple, maybe it will in the future, who knows.

Thank you for the question, and the opportunity to respond.
    >All Kanto variant forms and their evolutionary families are retconed into "Sevii Island Variants"
    >Rideable Pokémon if you don't wanna use the bike, but also add skateboard as an option.
    >Overworld moves like most HM's are apart of a seperate move pool.
    >Slowpoke can Fish similar to how Headbutt overworld ability would work.
    >Evolutions of Kanto Pokémon, even if from other generations are available before post game.
    >Mr. Fuji Mega Stone side plot.
    >New Mega forms for Kanto Pokémon, New Sevii Island variants of Kanto Pokémon, New evolutions and pre-evolutions, and branch evolutions for some Kanto Pokémon.
    >Retcon Slowpokes evolution criteria to be from fishing and catching a shellder.
    >Add Turbann as a Shellder evolution if given a Slowpoke tail to hold.
    >No Natures, EV's, or IV's.
    >Romance mechanics like Harvest Moon.
    >Your home in pallet is a homestead every new Pokémon you catch is added to the homestead/ ranch.
    >Homestead has a berry field.
    >Mew obtainable under the car once Pokédex is 100% complete. Or on Birth Island.
    >Multiple Arbok patterns.
    >Shinies overhauled to be thought out, mostly being black, white, or inspired by other evolution forms. (Dratini colored Dragonite or white Gengar)

This, but also being a sequel with a new protag and all areas being expanded like

Instead of a remake of Red's story, why not do a game from the perspective of a young Prof. Oak? Kind of like the Celebi movie. That would be way more interesting imo.
It's hinted that Agatha and Oak know each other from their younger years. You could also expand the lore of the "Pokemon war" that Lt. Surge was in.

    >Cut Bulbasaur and Squirtle from the game entirely, Charmander is the only available starter
    >Your Rival also chooses Charmander
    >You Get Charizardite X and your rival gets Charizardite Y
    >Charmander is locked to your party, you cannot box or trade it
    >All other kanto pokemon, including water and rock types, are weak to the Charmander line
    >You get a partner Pikachu and partner Eevee before the first gym, both of which can also gigantamax
    >League battle between you and your rival will be a 1 on 1 mega Charizard battle
    >Leon shows up in the postgame where you fight his gigantamax Charizard. If you win, he will make your Charizard gigantamaxable
    >Once you catch all 145 pokemon in the game, Masuda will personally come to your house and put bugs in your anus
    >After bugs in anus session, you will unlock the Great Omnipotent Kanto King Charizard, which is a Gigantamaxed Mega Charizard X with it having all of the moves in the game and gains the ability to be immune to all incoming attacks and abilities of opposing pokemon
    Would be kino.

Legends Arceus style gameplay with the first 251 Pokemon only.

Game that isn't actually a remake of Gen 1, but a spoof of RPGs that came before it, primarily Dragon Quest for battle mechanics and MegaTen for first-person dungeons. Does overcorrection in the trying to look like old anime to the point of not just Cue Balls wearing armor parts and having the Pokedex being a cumbersome gauntlet. Ideally species would revert back to their Gen 1 sprite designs, but that might be an issue with Jynx.

for it to not be a remake, but a sequel. new story, new characters as well as some old ones and a different direction to progress the map in. if we're gonna get a fricking THIRD remake, it should be something new this time around.

At the very least? More music instead of just the Trainer Theme. They already have Team Rocket battle theme, use it.

    >Your Rival also chooses between Bulbasaur and Squirtle
    >Bulbasaur/Squirtle is locked to your party, you cannot box or trade them
    >You get a partner from Johto starters of your choice before the first gym, they can be dynamaxed and have Z-moves
    >League battle between you and your rival will be a 1 on 1 Venusaur and Blastoise battle
    >Game will lets you join one of the clubs in Kanto. each town has one but you can join only one of them. Each club is named after a Pokemon that will give you bonuses if you use specific Pokemon.
    >Manga Red and Green show up in the postgame where you fight their Mega Venusaur and Blastoise. If you win, they will make your starter gigantamaxable
    >You can marry your Ivysaur or Wartortle. They will have great boost in stats
    >Game will have achievements like Gen5, Poke Pelago, and Camp like in Gen8,
    >Once you catch all in the game, you can choose a starter of your choice from Gen2~Gen8
    >Once you level up your starters to level 100, you will get new forms for Venusaur and Blastoise, god form Venusaur from Electric Tale of Pikachu manga, and Gamera inspired Blastoise that can also Fly.
    >Game will feature Ash and his Greninja, Serena and her Braixen, Dawn and her Piplup, and other characters from anime and manga in PWT tournament.
    >Leaf and her Venusaur will be a secret post-game encounter. If you face her with Venusaur, she would brag about having the better Venusaur. If you face her with Blastoise, she will take it from if you lose to her
    >Yellow will be another secret encounter in post-game. she will appear having Raichu

An expanded dex with more than 151 and a Johto postgame. That’s literally all I want.

Making it a sequel or something would also be cool. Maybe that way they can include more Pokemon without fricking their "only 151 have been discovered at the time of gen 1" autism
