Not seething, but the "duck in long hallways" minigame is fucking boring.

It's the most boring minigame in all of TF2, with the sole exception of the "look behind you every 3 seconds" minigame.

The only bragging right sniper mains have is that they're not the smelliest turd in the kitchen. Not when spy is hanging around.

      >with the sole exception of the "look behind you every 3 seconds" minigame.
I mean even if spy didn't exist having good situational awareness in TF2 is important. I've seen too many players get away with murder running around backlines for 3+ minutes because my teammates are too fucking tunnelvisioned to shoot anything behind them.

        >we need spies
        >and snipers
        >otherwise skilled veterans will have an advantage over the retards
This is the mentality that was undermining TF2 from the beginning.

The weak should always fear the strong.

It's kinda like the DH in that it's designed for 1v1 dueling than crowd control. You have to treat every sticky like it's made of gold or you'll be caught with your pants down reloading. Charged QB stickies have the ability to one shot light classes and greatly increases demo range letting you easily cut off retreats or fuck up snipers. Scouts and Pyros who think they can run at you are easy food for the QB. The reduced base damage and faster det time gives you better mobility as well letting you sticky jump more often.

It takes some time to get used to. You have to really concentrate and be precise with your stickies. Gitting gud at sticky sniping is a requirement and you rely on your pipes a lot more but it makes up for it by covering demo's weaknesses and absolutely destroying people at close range.

          >Charged QB stickies have the ability to one shot light classes
Stock and ScoRes can already one shot light classes, technically speaking. Base damage of 120, can go up to 144 with ramp-up.

The 144 damage isn't realistic. Even if you're literally hugging an enemy and you place a sticky directly at their feet it does ~135. QB you can do 125+ damage from much further away. Go try it out for yourself if you don't believe me.

I know it's not likely, but it's mathematically possible.

The Quickiebomb launcher is basically if Valve gave the Demoman a rocket launcher that does a possible 160 or so damage per sticky.
        >102 base damage. 122 damage at max ramp-up
        >charging can add up to 35% extra damage
        >can hit around 164 damage at max charge, max ramp-up and with no splash fall-off (unlikely you'll ever see that, however)
It's kind of worse for traps and sustained fights because of the smaller magazine, but it's significantly easier to use and obviously much better at range.
If you're used to stock Stickies, you'll have to adjust your muscle memory a fair bit for Quickies because of the charge decrease and smaller magazine.

I dunno. Most people I see use it either fall into either
        >I'm too lazy to do anything but sticky spam and I don't understand the value of traps.
        >I don't want to sticky spam, so I'm intentionally limiting my clip size and only sticky sniping and I also don't understand the value of sticky traps.
        categories.

Quickie compliments my more active playstyle a lot.
Sticky traps are very useful, but it's a nagger tactic and extremely boring, though ironically I really enjoy it when using the scottish.

a general rule of thumb with tf2 is if it makes the community seethe then doing something about it is a bad thing

This. The only exception might be the Reserve Shooter when it was stupidly good, but IDK, I kinda like the idea of Pyro having something exceptionally powerful now.
