That's a major part of it, yes. Doesn't cancel the fact that everyone puts ML garbage in their research for no apparent reason. Oh, this highly nonlinear system we're investigating? Let's investigate it using a glorified linear algebra optimiser! This dude over there actually came up with an original solution? Nobody is going to cite it, because it doesn't have the ML holy cow we worship. What a shame.

i don't know where you live but in australia while the majority of income tax is calculated by marginal tax rates there are some things that are a flat amount - most common are various medicare levys/surcharges and student loan repayments. for example if you make $93001 instead of $93000 you get slammed with another full 1% tax for medicare surcharge ($930 extra tax payable despite only making $1 more). you might have hit some sort of breakpoint like this

VR games required extremely high resolution.
A 4090 can barely run games at 6000x3000 resolution at 90fps, and with the release of the apple vision pro the resolution gap just widened where now the resolution shot up to 8000x4000 and that's just the panel resolution, you need 30-40% higher resolution than this to mitigate aliasing.
Of course this doesn't matter to tourist because they're fine with 1080p 30fps gaming but enthusiast care about this quite a lot.

Not him but it falls in-between google search and asking stupid questions on forums. Can be useful when you don't quite know what's the correct term to use in google or your question is too ambiguous.
The main issue it has is that if it doesn't know something, it doesn't tell you "idk lol". It gives something slightly wrong at best, or complete nonsense at worst, which still looks believable for laymen.

          Currently, I'm using it for:
Learning Python. I get to badget it endlessly about stupid questions and it never gets tired of me when I get hung up on something where most humans would get frustrated and tell me to move on. You can't even ask a Youtube video any questions if you have them.
          2. I wanted to minimize the amount of tools I carry with me for my van. I uploaded the repair manual to ChatGPT and asked it precisely what tools I'd need for common repairs.
          3. It's quicker than google searches for virtually everything and cuts out the faff. But if I want product reviews, I still have to google with "Reddit" at the end. Still the best method for the ~least~ astroturfed reponses.
          4. For shitting out python scripts I can't do myself yet. Friday I had it make a script that tells me when I should clock out at the end of the week if I wanted to make 40 hours, since I have a flexible clocking schedule. I also have it make a script that organizes my porn.
          5. Helps me make lists of things. If I want a list of adjectives that descript photography poses without any other faff, it does that.
          6. Will format text for me in a way that I want.
          7. I had chatgpt shit out a tampermonkey script that tracks IDs in a thread, compose a average-post-per-ID, and then a top ten leaderboard of the thread with each of their share of posts.

It's just really useful and far better than a google search.
Also when it doesn't know something, it does in fact tell me it doesn't know.

They should just let geforce be a separate subsidiary of nvidia. This clearly isn't working out for gaming GPUs.
