Naw, that's not the problem. I'd be fine with getting my ass kicked if I didn't have to go through all these shitty platforming sections, random QTEs and long cutscenes with annoying characters. It's just such a drag when I want to learn. The pacing of missions and upgrades is a mess too, and the bosses are shoddy.

Bullshit, I just beat chapter 5 and there was a big section where you run from something jump while shit explodes around you or something of the sort on basically every chapter. And this is not my first time player so I know there's going to be more until the very end, not to say the racing section and the shooter section, or the turret sections.

I did the same thing as you. I played on normal first then recently on hard to give the game a second chance. This time I properly learned the mechanics and could pure plat the earlier levels and I was planning to do infinite climax (hardest difficulty) playthrough. But then I was thinking about the bike sections, harrier sections, the combat where you just spam same move over and over again, bosses that have lots of waiting and qtes. Like why the frick is every boss just some big thing that cannot even speak properly and all you do is wait for telegraphed attacks and then attack with the same dial in combo over and over again. It's like okay you CAN do some combos in this game but they are just so shit with simplified inputs.

There are like 3 that exist purely at the beginning of the game in Bayo 1 and maybe 1 towards the end. If you mean mash to damage moves you still end up doing good damage even with 75% of the thing full so who cares. >Long cutscenes

Not really i always liked Bayo and besides her child counterpart the rest of the cast is likeable. The villain in Bayo 2 is a bit shit though. >Pacing/updates/bosses
Upgrades are fine pacing can be a bit shit and the bosses in Bayo 1 are fine too. If you wanna say the motorcycle/harrier missions are shit go ahead because i agree but the rest of the game is fine.

I wish more games made angels look like monstrosities. SMT4 tried and a few of them are decent. They are suppose to essentially just holy demons/abominations to human eyes and make you go crazy. Not bird wings on man outside of some super low level angels. I think its okay for Metatron though because hes a robot and gods voicebox and its simple and it works.

It's not? There is no reference to Christianity itself as a religion in the game. It just borrows the "lore" about Angels.
