This is how I play Monster Hunter until I get to the really hard quests despite having half a dozen friends who play it. It is a bit sad.
I never understood the appeal of wow but finally played it during the relaunch
It was then I understood how and why people enjoy hours of pointlessly grinding by themselves. They get drunk or high out of their minds and chill with the game, turning themselves almost completely off and using it almost as a therapeutic/hypnotic form of relaxation.
It was the first time I could see any sort of appeal in grinds, but I rejected it, because it wasn't fun and I have ASMR for that pseud relaxation shit when I fall asleep anyways
