Any tips for SL1 run for BS2?
I tried memeing it up by choosing fluffy as my starter class and got absolutely turbo owned.
My plan is to savescum chaos dungeon for items until I get a good enough build.
My goals are as follow:
Getting Armor of the sun ASAP
Getting Phalanx
Getting Royalty
Get enough souls to buy a frickton of resins
Try to get Uchi or Hans to +10 ASAP
Getting 2+ black rabbit rings.
Anything else?
Maybe I should start as knight or mage to get some spells to carry me through the early game,
>My plan is to savescum chaos dungeon for items until I get a good enough build. >How plausible is to do a SL1 run of DLC3?
lol, look at this dodo. how many ways do you know of how you can get out of the first area without beating the first boss? with the exception of royal tea and the second black rabbit ring (and maybe uchi, i forgot where it is) you can get all of those things without entering the chaos dungeon, and can even get hans +5 without any need to enter the chaos dungeon. explore the game a bit more on your other saves, especially the starting area. also, don't be a coward, be the fluffy. 😛
Oh I already did, I'm raiding the dungeon mostly for black rabbit rings.
Got Armor of the sun and hachi for damage multipliers, as soon as I get anything good with AoE I will go for phalanx or maybe rush for Margaret's covenant.
You are right though I got impatient and killed vorpal to open the chaos dungeon ASAP.
I should probably go for the G end first.
doing chaos dungeon at the very start seems like a tedious, inefficient, cowardly, and lame way of going about it. it's so much more fun to have to deal with the scarcity and lack of options at the beginning, and you're going to have to get used to it if you plan on doing dlc3. more than 4 black rabbit rings is useless, 2 is the bare minimum you'll get through ng+, if you're inevitably going to do the chaos dungeon, do it at the end of the run, not the beginning. leave the chaos dungeon for when it's necessary.
>Getting 1shot by literally everything and avoiding everyone using unseen pepper is fun
Yes, it is but also as tedious as doing the same thing in the chaos dungeon. I just want fast souls and a quick way to set up the run, it's already insane, I don't think I can take any boss like this unless summons also scale with difficulty.
damn, you really don't know anything about this game beyond unga bunga, do you? ya, figuring out how to abuse the game mechanics so that you don't need to get 1shot by everything or use unseen pepper is incredibly fun. it gets a bit boring once you reach the point in your sl1 run where you can oneshot everything that isn't from the dlcs, and that is the point i recommend you start doing the chaos dungeon, but before that, you'll miss out on the experience until you get to dlc3. just wait until the end of your first run.

Yeah ok Anon but the early game is still all unseen pepper until I get rings, weapons and spells.
I mean right now everything in the spore forest killed me with no way of me retaliating and i had fun, it was nice avoiding enemies at max speed but still, after a while it gets annoying because there's still a good hour or two until I can set up the run.
Hell, without the duchess extra action I don't think I can defeat any enemy.

Twintail blonde is boring and ordinary.
Short puffy black hair is extraordinary and very cute, fits her short-tempered character.

sounds like a comfy time. also, if you were able to get to where you got before with only one ring, i bet you'll get much further with more. good luck, and i hope you enjoy the rest of the game just as much. 😀

Sho probably since it's only a matter of her wanting to be impreganted maybe? while Jabberwock specifically states the futility of cumming inside her
Plus Shoggoths can shapeshift so Sho could probably make a working womb whereas Jab is just physiologically impossible to get pregnant.
That being said the nature of Black personmen pregnancy is a mystery kinda and other than Node's and the Walrus's pregnancy we don't know if Black personmen reproduce the same as us.

well, i hope you consider using this opportunity to beat the game without relying on the chaos dungeon. as for the other thing, [...] basically sums it up, not sure how useful his drop is, all things considered, but he drops something, if i am not mistaken.
Yeah I will but I still want to raid the dungeon for its exclusive spells or other useful things like getting Maymay's wine early, maybe meteor storm and undoubtedly several black rabbit rings
I'll try to push as much as I can without it but man even a hollow kills me in 1 turn and when I tried to rush to Margaret's covenant the old knight 1 shot my entire party in 2 turns
You should be able to find like 3 speed increasing rings just by running around through Wonderland without needing to fight any bosses, maybe more even, plus the Knuckles aren't too hard to find either.

I already found one wind god ring and I know there's several good rings that are semi-easy to grab is just that this early game gameplay is very unforgiving and is testing my knowledge to the max.
>getting Maymay's wine early
No idea how you'd do that, as far as I know it's hard locked to DLC 3.
, you should get meteor storm the normal way, don't be a coward, save the chaos dungeon for late game, and only late game. knuckles carried me pretty far, so it shouldn't be too difficult, dodo's covenant is also great early game. hans is easy to get, you'd have to be moronic to miss it, getting it to +5 shouldn't be too difficult either if you focus on it. >1 shot my entire party in 2 turns
use buffs. why are you trying to rush margaret's covenant, anyways?
get armor of the sun, phalanx, and hans while you're at it, all before getting in to a single boss fight. as i said, anon is unga bunga no-brain strat all the way, he doesn't even realize how much he can do at the very early gams.

I got the encounters and the kiss but still isnt working for me
Just pressing X/Cancel when it asks you which Alice you want should be enough. At least that how it works for me. You should double check you got all the requirements just in case.
Those should all be done, but I think I loaded back to before the kiss and then forgot to redo it. Does the scene in the ship hidden door still happen without it,
>guide is wrong
heh It's missing the 10 Red encounters
Didn't you also need to get the 6 torches scattered around the world at 0 SEN?
It's a 1 cycle guide.
Stuff like the red encounters and the flames are written here cuz they were already mentionned multiple times throughout the playthrough.
Just rape her if you love her, I always do a covenant because I actually fell in love with Jubbie but she WILL kill everyone, that's what she's meant to doeven though she also fell HARD for Grimm:((
(BS1) how many weapons are there? i finished the game a bunch times and got all endings except for c and i am going for c, but i only found very few weapons >broken sword >drake sword >scepter >demon scepter >that one golden sword >greatsword
is that all there is? meanwhile there is a shitload of rings
There should be 18 unique weapons in total, not counting blacksmith upgraded versions. Over half are found in chests, a few are boss drops, and one needs to be purchased with souls.
The only thing you can miss is that one white e-girl joining you for the last fight To get her just skip her encounter in the igloo, fight her boyfriend at the church in winterbell and go back to the igloo
Carmack's wacky adventure is super easy to complete and the hardest one to get is Lorde/PoH which you need to defeat 3 times and the 3rd one is fricking insane
Plague doctor scenes are very meh, Dokuro-chan scenes are pretty meh and I hope to god you don't want to frick the furry
Other than that DLC3 is very streamlined and there's barely anything to explore.
I mean, could e-girl Dorothy even met Grimm? I don't even think she was "real" just something that was sparked from the mental ward Dorothy and was crystalized into a fairy tale by Riff
Yes, for lategame however there are other good options. Difficulty 9 Meryphilia, Mabel's challenge, Grabbing all the fairies in Chaos Dungeon at max level
can you talk and summon non fairy tale companions at end c on bs1 i ended up killing all of them since i tought they would drop fairy tales and i figured out they had to die before i got at the kill room. didnt fallow any guide i just saw match girl dropping one when she died at sewer
no, that's the beginning, and she is not a companion, nor is preacher. he just gives you souls and spouts lore at you.
>best is subjective
Again, I've been consistently using it in the sense of "most effective" this entire time, which is something can be measured objectively, or do you have another benchmark for most effective in Black Souls? If not, then just drop it.
>which is something can be measured objectively
how? show me the equations, and the axioms that prove definitively the point you are making, or stop abusing that word.
i know how much of a waste of time this is, and yet i continue it like a moron. we'll stop at this point, it's clear we have disagreements about the degree of precision expected between english speaking individuals. i loathe people who abuse the word "literally" more than i am annoyed with you abusing words like "objective" and "best" and what not, and i don't waste my time with them, so i'll just leave i guess.
>show me the equations, and the axioms that prove definitively the point you are making, or stop abusing that word.
The player's ultimate goal in combat for Black Souls is to end combat. This should be painfully self evident in its own right as it's used by the developer as the primary means to gate progress throughout the series and is critical for reaching endings. For turn based RPGs, or hell most games in general the most effective way of doing this usually means ending it as quickly as possible too, so the most effective way to fight often (though not always) winds up being the most efficient too. These goals can be measured in terms of both real-time used and/or turns used in the game, and your gearing and approach will vary depending on which you're trying to optimize for, though neither appreciably change your approach for Black Souls.
Due to the lack of secondary objectives in fights for BS, or other real flow blockers in the vast majority of fights in the series, this means that the most effective and efficient means of ending combat is flat out just raw damage outputted as quickly as possible to end the combat, hence unga generally being the most effective approach and the most efficient as well. For fights with added puzzle elements, you still ultimately aim for maximizing damage whenever possible, so the same basic maxim still applies with the main alteration in approach typically being you relying on %HP damage instead of raw attack numbers.
Nothing I've said here should be controversial in any way regarding Black Souls. It's why you see people running around with the Anchor or Uchigatana mowing down mobs because nothing in the base game or even most of the DLCs can realistically stand up to their damage output, or why you see people maximize damage output with Hans to completely burn through bosses. These approaches are proven to get players through combat as quickly and painlessly as possible, thus effective and efficient.
the benefit comes from the fact that it doesn't decrease stats. not every fight has a one-size-fit's-all approach unless you go full unga bunga. plus, i said it was pretty good, not the best. btw, are you by any chance this anon?
>the benefit comes from the fact that it doesn't decrease stats
Neither does the BRR though? 2x MP costs is a meme drawback if that's what you had in mind. >not every fight has a one-size-fit's-all approach unless you go full unga bunga.
Extra turns are the one size fit all approach to everything in BS2, because they give you more opportunities to do literally anything you fricking want in the battle. Unga just happens to not only work but ends up being the best solution to the vast majority of the fights in the series. >plus, i said it was pretty good, not the best.
It's good filler, worth replacing a Londinium +3 for. Bonus actions are still bonus actions, but 50% chance really fricking hurts it and the stat bonus isn't that useful in practice with how easy it is to hit the relevant caps in BS2 due to how stacking stat modifiers work. >btw, are you by any chance this anon?
Extra actions are my crutch.
No.

>Unga just happens to not only work but ends up being the best solution to the vast majority of the fights in the series.
best is subjective, but i'll agree that generally speaking brr is superior to wrr, i just think it's useful to have in your arsenal.
Anonymous
>best is subjective
No, seriously, stop and think about all the fights throughout the series so far, and you realize that there's only a small handful of them where proper unga won't solve literally all of your problems with the fight, even in BS2. A dead enemy is an enemy that's no longer a threat, and unga is the fastest way of ensuring that. >i just think it's useful to have in your arsenal.
It's not completely worthless, I'd say it's probably the best general filler ring, it's just that by the time a new player finishes the library in BS2 they probably have at least one if not several BRRs. Do WRRs even drop in the Chaos Dungeon as of DLC 3 anymore? I haven't seen one in ages there.

no, seriously, stop and think about what i said. best is subjective. most efficient is objective, i could make a program to beat the game for me a thousand times as fast as possible, but it wouldn't be the best option because it would be a boring option. ya, you can beat literally every boss by going unga bunga, you can beat them without going unga bunga so of course you could benefit from it, but i subjectively prefer not to. >I'd say it's probably the best general filler ring
so why did you disagree with
and a pretty good ring.
?

>i could make a program to beat the game for me a thousand times as fast as possible, but it wouldn't be the best option because it would be a boring option
Anon, the word you are looking for here is fun, not best. Unga is objectively the best general option throughout the series, it just isn't subjectively a very fun option unless you like burning through combat faster and seeing big numbers, both of which are still pretty valid reasons considering this is a story focused series and lol big numbers funny. >so why did you disagree with
and a pretty good ring.
?
I said that if you somehow didn't have multiple BRRs already it's good. It's still infinitely easier to grind out for those either by looping or grinding the Chaos Dungeon (assuming it's not just my shit luck and WRRs were removed as a possible drop from there) than to run around across all creation for the library, especially for how out of the way some of those books are for newcomers or how strict some of the requirements for them can be.
imagine if you could see how many actions left you have in the turn, !100% bonus actions wouldnt be a pain in the ass
and while we're at it, see (and even read if you want extra luxury) your fricking buffs and debuffs
UI really is the first thing that needs addressing about BS2's combat.

best is the correct word, as best is subjective. efficient is the word you are looking for. games are designed to be fun, so the most fun option is the best option. games are not designed to be efficient, programs are. unga is objectively the most efficient strategy, but it is not objectively the best option, n ot without context. again, stop and think about what i said. granted, i conceded that it wasn't the best. if you have brr, and if you have good options to use, then brr is better. we don't disagree on the key points here.

>best is the correct word, as best is subjective
If someone asks you what their best option for something is, they typically expect an objective response based on the merits of the situation at hand. If someone asks what their best option for combat is in BS2, they should get the response that unga is in fact their best option for most fights, because it objectively is as it's what lets you clear most of the available content the quickest and easiest. >games are designed to be fun
Sure, that's the general intent. >games are not designed to be efficient
There's countless games where being efficient is the literal point of them and/or is what the games ask of the players as well. Zachtronics games immediately come to mind, not to mention any kind of game with notable competitive aspects encouraging this mentality. If you pretend that something like DLC 3 doesn't encourage the player to play much more efficiently than they have been prior either and make them search for better options than they've been using so far, then you're kidding yourself.

a given context, which is subjective, listen, we agree on most details, as
>semantics Black folk
I'll join
fun isn't the sole purpose of games, so best isn't identical with most fun
pointed out, we are now discussing semantics. remember how we got to this part of the conversation. you disagreed with the point i made when i said "not every fight has a one size fit's all approach unless you go full unga bunga", the semantics we should be disagreeing over isn't what the definition of "best" is, it should be what it means for there to be a one-size-fits-all approach. the unga bunga strat does not fit the challenge seeker's size, and is therefore not their idea of the best option. we weren't talking about some anon who asked us what the best option for something was, so don't change the context of this discussion, else i would seem more petty than i already appear by arguing semantics with you in the first place.

>the unga bunga strat does not fit the challenge seeker's size, and is therefore not their idea of the best option.
Unga is still used in shit like SL1 runs, so yeah it still can fit their size. If you find it fun to intentionally gimp yourself for fights then go ahead, I find it fun to frick with shit weapons or stuff like Deadman's Blow in BS2, but I wouldn't ever say that stuff is the best option for combat.
Anonymous
Oh, and tossing unga aside, bonus actions are still the most universally useful thing in BS2's combat and are still the closest to a one size fits all approach that you can get in the series, in fact I'd struggle to name an actual fight where they aren't a great way to approach it.
Anonymous
sl1 is an intentional gimp. the reward is directly proportional to the difficulty, that's why the "souls-like" genera exists, and why fromsoftware has a career in the first place, nevermind whether or not they sell their souls to the brainlets in the lowest common denominator sub-group. the point is, you keep arguing that these options are objectively, universally the best because there isn't a situation where you can't benefit from them, but to cater to the challenge seeker's tastes, you need to ask how many situations you can't do without it, because their goal is to continuously test that limit. there is no objective, universal best. best is, inherently, unavoidably subjective. that is the truest fact about that word that you will ever derive from rationality alone. when you add context, you might find it easier to paint with a more objective or universal brush, it will never truly be objective or universal, best is 99%. now if you are done arguing over what is supposedly objectively the "best", can we get to whatever point was at hand before your pedantry combined with mine and resulted in all of this?

Fine, let me be clearer then, because I've been using "best" this entire time in its "most effective" definition, which as far as I've been taught allows objective descriptions when using it and that's where I originally drew issue with you with regards to combat. To fall back on what
>semantics Black folk
I'll join
fun isn't the sole purpose of games, so best isn't identical with most fun
said, fun is not synonymous with best, and that as far as I can tell is where the core of your argument about unga not being the best approach for combat lies as you described it as boring. Personally, I don't get why you wouldn't just say something like fun or exciting instead of best, but I'll just chalk it up to regional differences or whatever. >can we get to whatever point was at hand before your pedantry combined with mine and resulted in all of this?
I thought we had already covered it, but to repeat myself then bonus actions and unga are the "best" in the sense of them being the most effective general way to approach combat, which is an objective and verifiable truth. They just also happen to be the most generally efficient too.

most effective is a better word for it, but trying to play it of as an objective and verifiable truth seems a bit shortsighted, i'll let it slide since i'm pretty sure it's true, though. do these words have no meaning? also >Personally, I don't get why you wouldn't just say something like fun or exciting instead of best, but I'll just chalk it up to regional differences or whatever.
oh boy, why don't we go and look to figure out. it would appear that
>the benefit comes from the fact that it doesn't decrease stats
No.
was the first mention of the word "best" >Unga just happens to not only work but ends up being the best solution to the vast majority of the fights in the series.
this was in response to the aforementioned >not every fight has a one-size-fit's-all approach unless you go full unga bunga.
so to answer your question of why i didn't just say "fun" or "exciting", it turns out i didn't say it at all. if there was no other point we were talking about beforehand, and if you don't want the last few words, i guess this can be over now.

How else would you go about regarding effectiveness in Black Souls? Big numbers being pumped out as quickly as possible either timewise or turnwise is about as effective and also efficient as you can get in a turn based RPG, and unga's generally the best way to do that. Hell, the basic idea still holds true for most of the puzzle fights in BS2 even if the exact means change, the only fight that really breaks the mold in any way is the Old King's second phase with the turn locks. >oh boy, why don't we go and look to figure out. it would appear that
>the benefit comes from the fact that it doesn't decrease stats

No? The initial quote would clearly still use the word but you're free to elaborate on what you actually mean in the rest of your reply with your own words. As far as fun goes I haven't contested the idea that unga isn't going to be something that everyone finds fun.

i contested the idea that unga was the best option on the grounds that best is subjective, and it took a fair amount of effort to get you to realize the meaning of the word. i don't disagree with anything else in the discussion, that is what i have been saying repeatedly, haven't you noticed? why are we still on this?

>best is subjective
Again, I've been consistently using it in the sense of "most effective" this entire time, which is something can be measured objectively, or do you have another benchmark for most effective in Black Souls? If not, then just drop it.
imagine if you could see how many actions left you have in the turn, !100% bonus actions wouldnt be a pain in the ass
and while we're at it, see (and even read if you want extra luxury) your fricking buffs and debuffs
Reminder that the point of this game is the story and not the gameplay. It's a very generic JRPG 90% of the time and when it's not it's just a gimmick battle.
Please just enjoy the game for what it is, freaking turbovirgins.
Me too but that's besides the point.
They were not the pinnacle of creativity but it shows EMMM skill as a dev, hopefully BS3 will actually be a good game on top of a good story.

Gonna be running a tabletop campaign soon and it's using an adventure based on lots of Black personmannery and I decided to rewrite it in the direction of being a bit more like Black Souls in terms of approaching SAN check situations and unexpected but well-connected happenings occurring. What are some good moments of SAN/SEN frickery in the games you think would work on a group of people? I know I wanna include two specific ones: >The rabbit starting to tell Grimm about Alice before bursting into treats and no one reacting to it >Spontaneously manifesting a list of dialogue options from a random question, and no matter which option the group selects, it defaults to "I'm going to Alice!"
But having a list of potential ones to work on would get the best scenarios for my players.
Basically the premise of the adventure is an alien city run by Hastur (mind you, I didn't write this, it's a pre-written adventure I'm modifying) is coming to the planet and it's causing a lot of problems. I'm adding in a rewrite based around the idea that the fey of the setting are also interacting with these problems nad it's gonna cause a lot of fairy tale-like chaos. To centralize this, I'm replacing the alien city's herald with Alice because I found it amusing.
It's not gonna be a replica of Black Souls, but I do want Black Souls' style of fairy tales crossing over with the eldritch and it causing weird shit from either style to just melt in. Black Souls has a lot of good moments in it for sanity checks but I need time to actually design the encounters and shit so I can't just keep playing the games over and over, hence me asking the lads here.
so you are basically turning Carcosa in TCO's garden, I would like more insight on the whole thing like why are the characters here in the first place? Are they related to this city? Is it something otherworldly or on the surface it's a mockery of their world?
goldilocks and the 3 bears should be an easy one. party comes across a family of talking bears accosting poor crying goldilocks for eating all their porridge.
one option is goldilocks being the real villain as a changeling who boiled their daughter into soup and is force feeding them it or some shit.
other option is bears are the villain with goldilocks family being eaten by them and shes desperately trying to get their bodies back for burial
I finished black souls 1 and i feel like my soul just became empty after seeing my waifus die over and over again. thank god Mary Sue gets what she deserves, but i hate the fact that my waifus are still dead despite the revenge

>son count >after the events of BS3 grimm decides to set in with all his wifes >the sex scenes are battles like the victoria minigame where depending on what you do it increases the chance of your child being male or female >you need to keep a balance on this, since the female ones increase your affection with the wifes and the male ones serve as more training partners >They train on the Chaos Dungeon where they learn more about Grimm's adventures >One day the Chaos Dungeon is broken or something and is up to the team of sons to defend against a boss rush of most of the bosses in the series >Grimm actually set this all up with Mabel to test how his sons were faring, and if they manage to beat it you get the true end or something I haven't thought of a good reward
>Have to balance out good actions and bad actions like rape (once per character) and kill them or doing quests for them or reaching certain milestones but it's a limited resource per run.
Mite be cool.
I hope we get more demonbeasts being promoted to actual characters like Jabber. I'd love to see an actual Peter Pan character or a cat girl puss in boots.
Speaking of cats, I'd love to see Black personman referenced in some way

It opens after progress 1, so as soon as you defeat any boss it should open.

Akin to the adventure of Perseus and Andromeda—indeed, by some supposed to be indirectly derived from it—is that famous story of St. George and the Dragon; which dragon I maintain to have been a whale; for in many old chronicles whales and dragons are strangely jumbled together, and often stand for each other. "Thou art as a lion of the waters, and as a dragon of the sea," saith Ezekiel; hereby, plainly meaning a whale; in truth, some versions of the Bible use that word itself. Besides, it would much subtract from the glory of the exploit had St. George but encountered a crawling reptile of the land, instead of doing battle with the great monster of the deep. Any man may kill a snake, but only a Perseus, a St. George, a Coffin, have the heart in them to march boldly up to a whale.

I've had two crashes in the Chaos Dungeon and two in the base game in my entire time playing the game, and three of those are from the initial DLC 3 translation release of the game. When/where is it crashing for you?
They were meant to feel this way. In fact, the placement and tone of H-scenes were carefully planned. There's a reason why Lorina's and Kuti's rape felt much more brutal than everyone else's. Why most of DLC3's scenes felt comedic in tone, except for the VN section, which felt unsettling
At this point, I'm convinced that nothing is accidental in this game, everything is planned

I see and that's a shame then, most people miss Florence due to the letter but you even had it. Oh well I guess you can't do anything for Gerda now since your other savefile is 11 hours away from your current one. Keep on and if you still motivated to do another cycle do save her.
Not sure where to ask, but does anyone have a copy of picrel that they're willing to share? I lost my own copy somehow and the links I previously got it from are dead.

Yeah. You just had to ignore her in the cave, run towards the church, speak to the snowman, and THEN go back and speak with Gerda in the cave.

Oh you've gotta be fricking kidding me, ailment resistances are multiplicative?
Anyway thanks, I stacked some HP gear and Node's covenant and it worked.
I'm starting to feel a problem with the fact I'm nearly always using black goat's rings and they kind of make you unable to use any weapon skills unless you have the kishingatana equipped.
For the The/A debate, I'm surprised this line is never brought up. How would you explain this if you are opposed to the idea of Grimm/Lewis/whatever killing Jabber?
It's been argued over before, some counterarguments are the other rabbits that call him their hero were there during the tea party to the fact that Jabber cursed him and his clan specifically along with him being transformed into a demonbeast or whatever because of it and clearly not having a great memory of what happened. It not being him also raises the question of how and why Grimm/Lewis/whoever would build a paradise specifically for the rabbits and to hide them from the shit going on in the dream, or why the Heroic Vorpal Sword says you've been recognized by the Hero when you defeat Vorpal and how (You) recognizing yourself makes no sense.
You could just say that Vorpal was the hero, but doesn't consider himself one since he failed to kill Jabber and went insane. Artorias is a heroic guy, but the feat he's most well known for was actually done by the Chosen Undead.
>You could just say that Vorpal was the hero, but doesn't consider himself one since he failed to kill Jabber and went insane. I feel like that's quite the stretch, and there's nothing that I can think of in the game that outright says that he failed either. The HVS in particular outright calls him the hero, I don't see why the numerous other mentions of the/a hero in the game would be referring to some other guy.
Because he refers to (You) as the hero as well, and him being the Artorias reference of the game would fit perfectly. The way he talks about it makes it seem like he entrusted you with his sword before succumbing to madness.
>Because he refers to (You) as the hero as well, and him being the Artorias reference of the game would fit perfectly. >The way he talks about it makes it seem like he entrusted you with his sword before succumbing to madness. The Vorpal series and his boss souls make it sound like there's been a long, long time for the succession of Vorpal as a Hero and for his blood to be inherited by his clan (probably by Vernai given the way he fights and why), Grimm/Lewis/whoever getting recognized as the Hero by Vorpal after you defeat him like what the HVS says makes more sense to me.

The problem with that is seeing you is what makes him believe Jabber is dead, implying that he believes you are the one to kill her. I won't bring the The/A discrepancy into this, but I wouldn't put it past EMMM to write something like that.

>The problem with that is seeing you is what makes him believe Jabber is dead, implying that he believes you are the one to kill her. You can see it as his memory of the events that happened being so poor that he couldn't remember for sure or not that Jabber had been slain at all, he does ask if it's true she's dead. He was just only snapped out of being a completely mindless demonbeast when you met him after all. For what it's worth, Jabber never calls you the hero that killed her either, even when she talks about it in the dungeon she says it like she's talking about someone else. >I won't bring the The/A discrepancy into this, but I wouldn't put it past EMMM to write something like that. I'd certainly ask why EMMM would write something like that and then contradict himself with a weapon that drops only after defeating him, it just doesn't make any sense to me why he'd do something like that. When EMMM's writing about lore so far in the series, he pretty much never feeds us conflicting information like this. He'll keep some shit vague, but directly conflicting lore like this without the benefit of cycles or whatever to handwave it away isn't what he usually does.

I don't really think it's contradictory. The issue rests on if "the hero" is necessarily one person. I believe it's purposefully kept vague to hide the "twist", even though it being a reference to Artorias seems a bit obvious. Vorpal, hero to the rabbits for finding them a new home and protecting them, sets out to kill Jabber and fails. A different guy then takes up his sword and manages to cut her head off. As for her part, Jabber keeps a lot of stuff secret, only teasing a bit of lore when she's rambling. She's very coy about important details, like how she apparently played Cupid or what's behind the door to DLC3.

>The issue rests on if "the hero" is necessarily one person. I don't believe there's any reason to think it isn't just one person. Rather, is there anything in the game that outright states the existence of two heroes at the same time? The closest I can think of is Vorpal recognizing you after you defeat him, and that's just him passing on the title in my opinion. >As for her part, Jabber keeps a lot of stuff secret, only teasing a bit of lore when she's rambling. She's very coy about important details, like how she apparently played Cupid or what's behind the door to DLC3. The issue I take with that is her dungeon scene is her being pretty direct with the stuff she says, and she says a lot down there too, enough to get her erased even. Despite all that though she still talks about that hero stuff specifically like it doesn't regard you, heck she even taunts you in the scene there about not being a hero.

He recognizes you as "the hero" before his boss fight. There's nothing in game to suggest that "hero" just refers to one person, and looking at it from a meta level would suggest that there is at least one other guy that Vorpal unwittingly took credit from. As for the Jabber line, that's more her saying that you are a bad person, so she's completely justified in doing bad things to you. It's referring to the concept of a hero instead of an individual. Personally, her calling you her "beamish boy" is what cemented you being her killer in my mind.

I tried memeing it up by choosing fluffy as my starter class and got absolutely turbo owned.

My goals are as follow:
Getting Armor of the sun ASAP
Getting Phalanx
Getting Royalty
Get enough souls to buy a frickton of resins
Try to get Uchi or Hans to +10 ASAP
Getting 2+ black rabbit rings.
Anything else?
Maybe I should start as knight or mage to get some spells to carry me through the early game,

lol, look at this dodo. how many ways do you know of how you can get out of the first area without beating the first boss? with the exception of royal tea and the second black rabbit ring (and maybe uchi, i forgot where it is) you can get all of those things without entering the chaos dungeon, and can even get hans +5 without any need to enter the chaos dungeon. explore the game a bit more on your other saves, especially the starting area. also, don't be a coward, be the fluffy.
Hell, without the duchess extra action I don't think I can defeat any enemy.
>the early game is still all unseen pepper until I get rings, weapons and spells.
Just walk over and grab Hidden Body.
That's not the point, still that's the point of a challenge.
get armor of the sun, phalanx, and hans while you're at it, all before getting in to a single boss fight. as i said, anon is unga bunga no-brain strat all the way, he doesn't even realize how much he can do at the very early gams.
game*
>Hell, without the duchess extra action I don't think I can defeat any enemy.
people have gotten to the duchess on sl1 diff9 runs without using the chaos dungeon, anon please.
Anon I'm not using the god damn dungeon stop patronizing me homosexual.
you said you were, though. you are
correct?
Read
>I should probably go for the G end first.
By that I implied that I would restart since I killed vorpal diff0 and saw red in her beastform.
how was that implied?
Biggest tip: Go to the sanitarium in Lutwidge and get the Storm Ruler, it'll make your life a lot easier.
Alice a shit, Lorina a best!
I agree but blonde top qt.p2t twintail tsundere dicky > gothic short hair princess dicky
I'm sorry but Lorina got fricking OWNED by TCO's design.
At least she's not Edith, I'm not a fan of skellington girls, Edith should have been a chubby oppai e-girl.
Twintail blonde is boring and ordinary.
Short puffy black hair is extraordinary and very cute, fits her short-tempered character.
I like her eyes.
I respect your opinion but original Lorina is top qt, queen of hearts is good at best and inferior Meriphilia/Miranda at worst.
queen of hearts is good at best and inferior Meriphilia/Miranda at worst.
Comparing her to Miranda is insulting, shes nothing like that emotionless brute
It's pretty cute once you killed her 3 guards but don't forget she's feared thorough all of wonderland and literally everyone hates her.
>It's pretty cute once you killed her 3 guards but don't forget she's feared thorough all of wonderland and literally everyone hates her.
Who is everyone? Play through the game and dont read the black bars before then
I'm pretty sure everyone in Lutwidge warns you against going to meet her, even some of her subjects hate her and Lorina's top knight Griffy...well...
Anon, I know you like gothic dicky buy Lorina is without question an evil entity in Wonderland.
Play through the game once before forming too many opinions
Anon why are you so against Lorina being objectively an evil character that murders everyone for even having a different oppinio....oh....I get it.
Besides the original point was about Twintail blonde tsundere > puffy black bob cut tsundere.
Which still is true.
I'm sorry you have inferior tastes to mine but I respect your opinion.
nta, will grant that many people dislike her, what makes her objectively evil?
Murdering everyone?
>she's far from being the worse thing in the Wonderland, besides Queensland, her domain is the safest and her, the most reasonable of the bunch
She literally kills everyone on sight, even her subjects, the first thing she tries to do as soon as you see her is chop your head off and I know she's Lorina but she's still based on the queen of hearts from Alice's adventures so...she's evil...
It also makes Grimm the cuck king
so the majority of characters in the game are objectively evil? you know, things with tainted black souls canonically cannot create anything that isn't tainted as well and all of the characters in this game are grimm's spawn, therefore...
You lack critical information, she is not evil. Play through the game or if you have, try to understand whats happening?
Many characters which you would think were evil, infact might have had other motivations you didnt know about. This is already a bit of a spoiler.
Max covenant, open the vendor tab with her, dont buy the cards of hindsight. She should ask you to play cards with her.
She is evil. I played the game. You clearly don't understand how context works. Go talk to the NPC's again. You've clearly never played it.
>Damn i really hate this bratty little girl who sold her soul to TCO and now shes forced to play in her stupid theatre and pretend to be a heartless murderer queen
>Why?
>Because shes pretending to be a heartless queen!!!
Literally (You)
By what standards anon? Everyone at lutwidge wants to kill you on sight or rape you for souls, besides the bar dudes and even those want to scam you.
The Duchess trully mad, a glutton at heart.
The cemetery and the spore regions housese abominations and nothing more.
Griffy is also supposed to refference le funny plan berkman
Dodo is dumb and Shisha is a smelly neet
Really, Lorina might be moronic, but she's far from being the worse thing in the Wonderland, besides Queensland, her domain is the safest and her, the most reasonable of the bunch
How do you even play cards with her?
where can i pirate the japanese version of bs2?
Different anon, also no bunny suit
>Shatranj
What's that? I hope it's not the name of May May's garden, I hate that place
>What's that? I hope it's not the name of May May's garden, I hate that place
It's the name of Maymay's garden.
...
I like Mabel, but that place fills my inventory with junk, and the books don't exist.
I don't want to grind to 1500+...
It's not that bad with squirrels and what not but yeah I feel you. I for one find it FUN but only when I can actually fight back...I'm currently doing a SL1 DIF9 run so...everything hurts...this is hell.
AIIIIEEEEEEEEE TASUKETE DODO!
>level 500+ after getting ending a on my first playthrough
>decide to get some of the fairy tails and kill some stuff before i go into ng+
>thought i was overleveled for shit then meryphilia beat my ass
i haven't even entered the ocean or anything yet damn
>SL1 autistic bragging
calm down homosexuals
>start playing BS1 months ago after being intrigued by these threads for a while
>it's fun, get to the stage where I'm exploring for the princesses
>ended up not being able to play for ages, until recently
>decide to start again so that I don't forget anything important
>get to roughly the stage in the game I was last time, enjoying it just as much
>only just realised I can equip more than one ring even though the exact same thing happened to me last time
I post in this thread only so that you may enjoy my suffering.
Ehhh, maji?
1 ring?
Kimooooi
Only dodos equip just 1 ring
Don't worry, it happens to a lot of people
sounds like a comfy time. also, if you were able to get to where you got before with only one ring, i bet you'll get much further with more. good luck, and i hope you enjoy the rest of the game just as much. 😀
Don't worry anon, while I got the ring part, I discovered running in the next game.
the meme is real
>play the entire game for the first time without running
>reach the staircase before Cinderella
>realize that this is an rpgmaker game and that shift makes you run
I will be dissapointed if yoggy's new form isn't as mysterious like maymay is
I'm glad anons have been using Shatranj and Elysium more casually as of late, I love pompous names and I was honestly tired of calling them simply Lost Empire and Chaos Dungeon
It also doubles down as a way to keep dodos in the dark until they get far enough in the story.
>Maymay
I'll be missing her quite a lot anon...
Why the frick is Wolris Russian
because fat middle aged walrus...commie whale..."female"
>Currently on exchange for six months
>No real computer to play vidya with
>Borrow a friends laptop for a couple of days
>Figure I might as well belt out Black Souls 1 again as a refresher as it's been years.
>Somehow remember everything with perfect clarity, finish all the endings in one sitting with a dick in my hand, unlock the gallery and conclude with the Hansel scene
Oh god what have I become
Frick off Andersen
I love Leaf so goddamn much.
She's so cute bros...
How come she's so cute? Why is she that cute?
ARGGGGG I'LL NEVER FORGIVE JABBER AND SUB-Black person
Why?
Just mindbreak leaf into a caring b***h, whats so hard about that
You just can't. She's the epitome of being a bad b***h. The only way you can decrease her sass is by presenting a situation where she's forced to work with you.
Killing and raping her won't work because that will just make so her sadism and autism grows.
You can't heal a pure black soul Anon.
The whole point of the game is that Black personmen just can't understand love and humans because they are so unfathomably evil
Even "nice" characters like Node and Prickett realize this.
>You can't heal a pure black soul Anon.
You can actually heal a black soul, you just can't create purity in it. That said, I think the other anon is going to have better luck trying to mindbreak a brick into a trad wife than Mary.
MINDBREAK BATTLE!! WHO'S HARDER TO TURN INTO A TRADWIFE WITH A HEALED SOUL
Jabber
Mary
Unis
BaphoBlack person
Unquestionably Jabber >>> Mary > Shub >>> Unis
>He actually thinks he can fix Jabber
This goes beyond Dodo...you are A DOUBLE DODO.
Hey, they asked for difficulty, not possibility. Besides, give her the ability to create an actual child and you might make some headway.
>Impregnating a corpse even though Grimm has stated multiple times that Jabber's womb is barren and of course, dead.
I commend your tenacity though, I too find Wabbajack-chan to be irresistibly moe and sexy.
Would Grimm have an easier time impregnating Jabber or Sho?
Sho probably since it's only a matter of her wanting to be impreganted maybe? while Jabberwock specifically states the futility of cumming inside her
Plus
Shoggoths can shapeshift so Sho could probably make a working womb whereas Jab is just physiologically impossible to get pregnant.
That being said the nature of Black personmen pregnancy is a mystery kinda and other than Node's and the Walrus's pregnancy we don't know if Black personmen reproduce the same as us.
i say it depends on which ability grimm's sperm gets first. necromancy, or immortality.
>Would Grimm have an easier time impregnating Jabber or Sho?
Sho. He and his sperm already build up an amazing level of acid resist in her scenes.
>He and His
What the frick, I skipped her fight but what the frick.
Imagine Riff....but humble trad wife.
Something like this?
No, she's not petite. That's more like green Mom alice.
Also that's probably Cthulhu-
nuns can't be wives, silly
We will see it happen brothers
>Mfw I'm such a cuck that I would have forgiven her.
Where do I get a spell mentioned on Ganker thread that prevents critical attacks? Mariella or what's her name in the cave is kicking my ass on either second or first turn.
spore forest, by the water section where you transition to fight old knight william
Ah, haven't really explored it on first cycle, will do.
That's a very common mistake, most people think the pond of bloody tears only goes to queensland and the cemetery but forget to explore up right.
What's worse is that they get so fixated on the cave that they ignore updog and end up losing 2-10 hours of gameplay.
Updog?
>He doesn't know.
oh no no no
How do we tell him?
As soon as you get to the spore forest head left and then down, there's a corpse with the spell to the wall.
Which way, white man?
she's cuter without them
Keep the glasses, so that way they can fall off and shatter during the violent rape that ensues.
Just use your power to change bro, what could possibly go wrong?
>Grimm becomes Mary Sue
No thank you.
Also didn't Grimm became like a Shoggoth or something when he gave his black soul to GG?
I'm not sure the power of creation is worth becoming a squid for
Just like in bloodborne
>No thank you.
Literally, unironically Maymay's plan for him.
>Grimm became like a Shoggoth or something when he gave his black soul to GG?
He just became some unidentifiable tentacle mass from what I could see.
>I'm not sure the power of creation is worth becoming a squid for
He still has it post-H, it's just that his current vessel is unsuitable for using it.
Are you by any chance that anon from last thread who was having problems fighting her and Lindamea? Did you finally got her?
No, but I did go through DLC3 2 weeks ago. She filtered me for a while but it turned out unga bunga with the anchor and ring of fear is usually enough as long as I find the real Unis fairly quick.
Ah I see, well done then. Let's see if that other anon shows up later on then.
>Spoiler
Not anymore, I hereby declare you a disciple and follower of the Serpent God.
you mean the grave keeper monster pretty sure he's with the homosexuals. also, you didn't say that rushing vorpal caused you to miss out on red, you just said you got impatient and killed vorpal and for the love of all that is holy, use your spoilers you dumbass.
>rushing vorpal caused you to miss out on red, you just said you got impatient and killed vorpal
Well that's what happened so I had to restart.
>grave keeper monster
Well, what is he and how do I get him to spawn again? Does he drop anything useful?
Kill graverobbers in the graveyard. Nothing too useful.
>Kill graverobbers
Impossible in my current state, I just wanted to know.
Yeah I will but I still want to raid the dungeon for its exclusive spells or other useful things like getting Maymay's wine early, maybe meteor storm and undoubtedly several black rabbit rings
I'll try to push as much as I can without it but man even a hollow kills me in 1 turn and when I tried to rush to Margaret's covenant the old knight 1 shot my entire party in 2 turns
>getting Maymay's wine early
No idea how you'd do that, as far as I know it's hard locked to DLC 3.
>Speed already at 40
>Mfw duchess covenant -50% speed would set it to 20
AIEEEEEEEEE TASUKETE RIFF
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
You should be able to find like 3 speed increasing rings just by running around through Wonderland without needing to fight any bosses, maybe more even, plus the Knuckles aren't too hard to find either.
I already found one wind god ring and I know there's several good rings that are semi-easy to grab is just that this early game gameplay is very unforgiving and is testing my knowledge to the max.
>wine
see
, you should get meteor storm the normal way, don't be a coward, save the chaos dungeon for late game, and only late game. knuckles carried me pretty far, so it shouldn't be too difficult, dodo's covenant is also great early game. hans is easy to get, you'd have to be moronic to miss it, getting it to +5 shouldn't be too difficult either if you focus on it.
>1 shot my entire party in 2 turns
use buffs. why are you trying to rush margaret's covenant, anyways?
Extra actions are my crutch.
see
>unga bunga no-brain strat all the way
there are so many ways to utterly abuse the game, extra actions are only a single option, isn't it more fun to
>test[ your] knowledge to the max.
>Well that's what happened so I had to restart.
well, i hope you consider using this opportunity to beat the game without relying on the chaos dungeon. as for the other thing,
basically sums it up, not sure how useful his drop is, all things considered, but he drops something, if i am not mistaken.
When I found out Bill was a guy I got even harder at the sex scene.
I'm straight.
>I'm straight.
Sure thing, Andersen.
Bill Gay the trap guy
BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL
A liar and a homosexual is what you are
No you're not
I found her...
And so ends the second cycle. Kishigatana is fricking busted, I'll say that. Onto cycle three, I guess.
>Kishigatana is fricking busted
Preach it brother.
Now get ready for the anti unga bunga gameplay of DLC3.
Kishi still absolutely owns everything and everyone that's not PoH
third fight
What am I supposed to press here? I've pressed X and Esc but neither have worked.
>guide is wrong
heh
It's missing the 10 Red encounters
I got the encounters and the kiss but still isnt working for me
Didn't you also need to get the 6 torches scattered around the world at 0 SEN?
Just pressing X/Cancel when it asks you which Alice you want should be enough. At least that how it works for me. You should double check you got all the requirements just in case.
You need
to have seen Red in 10 different locations
Seen all the memory flames
Leaf's Ring
Those should all be done, but I think I loaded back to before the kiss and then forgot to redo it. Does the scene in the ship hidden door still happen without it,
I dont think you need to see Red except atleast once for it to show? Its not related to anything im pretty sure.
Then its probably thatthen, time for a 4th Cycle I guess. Thank you all for the help.
It's a 1 cycle guide.
Stuff like the red encounters and the flames are written here cuz they were already mentionned multiple times throughout the playthrough.
You can't skip the intro.
ALICE
Why does the elevator in Ox Ward university keep on locking up. It's the sixth time now
SEN 0 gimmicks. Think nothing of it.
Ah. Okay, yeah, had to wait for a bit.
Have you taken the elevator between Rabbit Hole and Fuming Forest yet?
Don't worry about the strange noises.
If you feel strange in your body afterwards it's just your imagination.
If I Do a covenant with Jubjub, she will not kill the Hatter and the like, right? I already have her gear from Cycle 2
No, you must rape or kill her if you dont want her to continue her british jokes anymore
No she'll still kill them
Just rape her if you love her, I always do a covenant because I actually fell in love with Jubbie but she WILL kill everyone, that's what she's meant to doeven though she also fell HARD for Grimm:((
Alright, into the cage she goes. Shame, her covenant's good.
What are the letters in this actually supposed to be arranged into?

Is the supply of candy per run limited or can you farm them?
you can buy them at queensland
I saw on sadpanda that there's a situation where Dum sees you railing Dee, does it occur randomly or is it triggerable some way?
Yeah Dee will sometimes be outside the door of their room and asks you to have sex with her.
No, I mean there was a CG in the gallery where Dum is peeking through the door, I haven't had that occur.
I forgot to mention then there's a chance Dum will peek out and see you railing Dee. Which triggers Dum to kill Dee later.
You mean TRY to kill Dee.
Tfw you start to forget the exact details. I need to replay BS1 and 2 before the translation of Red's game comes out.
I want to eat Dum.
Does Dee and Dum's pussies honk when you frick them?
(BS1) how many weapons are there? i finished the game a bunch times and got all endings except for c and i am going for c, but i only found very few weapons
>broken sword
>drake sword
>scepter
>demon scepter
>that one golden sword
>greatsword
is that all there is? meanwhile there is a shitload of rings
>moonlight greatsword
>black blade
>black edge the one that looks liek a katana
>thief's dagger
>bow
>spear
>hans machinegun
There should be 18 unique weapons in total, not counting blacksmith upgraded versions. Over half are found in chests, a few are boss drops, and one needs to be purchased with souls.
is there any special drop for killing the black trials dudes who comes for you when you have high sin on bs1?
no
Does anyone have a walkthough for black souls 2 that includes the dlc3 (not the youtube one)
The only thing you can miss is that one white e-girl joining you for the last fight
To get her just skip her encounter in the igloo, fight her boyfriend at the church in winterbell and go back to the igloo
Lorde can join you
How the frick, I did not know this...
Sorry anon he can't join you, pretty sure that anon was just talking about his third encounter in the DLC.
Yeah my bad.
i killed the 4 princess and izu did not apper on holy forest anyone knows why?
You saved him from the fort and then Elixir town yeah?
yes
I heard people say izu is apparently buggy so you might be fricked on this.
He's at the top of the skeleton maze.
>He's at the top of the skeleton maze.
or in the fight with edith. hence
bs1
anyway i ended up reading iron hans right now, did i get something wrong or the dude married his sister?
is there any art with mc as his mage or thief class?
nah
Not much
It's a damn shame we never actually got to see e-girl Dorothy. I doubt Grimm even got to interact with her once in a past cycle.
Just to be clear, that's Marianna. And for some reason she also has art with thief Grimm, the only one I could find anywhere.
There's stuff made in heroforge
I mean, could e-girl Dorothy even met Grimm? I don't even think she was "real" just something that was sparked from the mental ward Dorothy and was crystalized into a fairy tale by Riff
Yes, indeed, a real shame that theres no Dorothy dicky.
where do find iron hans? dont tell me its missable since its the only one left to me
bs1 or 2?
In BS2, is the rabbit kingdom just for soul farming?
Yes, for lategame however there are other good options.
Difficulty 9 Meryphilia, Mabel's challenge, Grabbing all the fairies in Chaos Dungeon at max level
can you talk and summon non fairy tale companions at end c on bs1 i ended up killing all of them since i tought they would drop fairy tales and i figured out they had to die before i got at the kill room. didnt fallow any guide i just saw match girl dropping one when she died at sewer
only leaf if i recall correctly, but miranda will be there to help on the bridge if you have her.
Victoria will show up at the end too.
no, that's the beginning, and she is not a companion, nor is preacher. he just gives you souls and spouts lore at you.
>which is something can be measured objectively
how? show me the equations, and the axioms that prove definitively the point you are making, or stop abusing that word.
i know how much of a waste of time this is, and yet i continue it like a moron. we'll stop at this point, it's clear we have disagreements about the degree of precision expected between english speaking individuals. i loathe people who abuse the word "literally" more than i am annoyed with you abusing words like "objective" and "best" and what not, and i don't waste my time with them, so i'll just leave i guess.
>show me the equations, and the axioms that prove definitively the point you are making, or stop abusing that word.
Remind me please, is gathering all the fairytales in 2 necessary for completion?
I don't want to betray my favourite BS1 again...
this reminds me, why was golden goose red in bs1?
Uhh because the gold was the wealth she stole...!
Goose chicks are yellow, that's why the color is different. It might change once she grows up.
No. For BS2 all you get is an extra scene with Node so it's completely optional.
and a pretty good ring.
>pretty good
If you somehow don't have multiple Black Rabbit Rings already, sure.
the benefit comes from the fact that it doesn't decrease stats. not every fight has a one-size-fit's-all approach unless you go full unga bunga. plus, i said it was pretty good, not the best. btw, are you by any chance this anon?
>the benefit comes from the fact that it doesn't decrease stats
No.
>Unga just happens to not only work but ends up being the best solution to the vast majority of the fights in the series.
best is subjective, but i'll agree that generally speaking brr is superior to wrr, i just think it's useful to have in your arsenal.
>best is subjective
>I'd say it's probably the best general filler ring
so why did you disagree with
?
>i could make a program to beat the game for me a thousand times as fast as possible, but it wouldn't be the best option because it would be a boring option
Anon, the word you are looking for here is fun, not best. Unga is objectively the best general option throughout the series, it just isn't subjectively a very fun option unless you like burning through combat faster and seeing big numbers, both of which are still pretty valid reasons considering this is a story focused series and lol big numbers funny.
>so why did you disagree with
If you pretend that something like DLC 3 doesn't encourage the player to play much more efficiently than they have been prior either and make them search for better options than they've been using so far, then you're kidding yourself.
>if someone asks for the best option, they typically mean the best option for...
a given context, which is subjective, listen, we agree on most details, as
pointed out, we are now discussing semantics. remember how we got to this part of the conversation. you disagreed with the point i made when i said "not every fight has a one size fit's all approach unless you go full unga bunga", the semantics we should be disagreeing over isn't what the definition of "best" is, it should be what it means for there to be a one-size-fits-all approach. the unga bunga strat does not fit the challenge seeker's size, and is therefore not their idea of the best option. we weren't talking about some anon who asked us what the best option for something was, so don't change the context of this discussion, else i would seem more petty than i already appear by arguing semantics with you in the first place.
>the unga bunga strat does not fit the challenge seeker's size, and is therefore not their idea of the best option.
Oh, and tossing unga aside, bonus actions are still the most universally useful thing in BS2's combat and are still the closest to a one size fits all approach that you can get in the series, in fact I'd struggle to name an actual fight where they aren't a great way to approach it.
sl1 is an intentional gimp. the reward is directly proportional to the difficulty, that's why the "souls-like" genera exists, and why fromsoftware has a career in the first place, nevermind whether or not they sell their souls to the brainlets in the lowest common denominator sub-group. the point is, you keep arguing that these options are objectively, universally the best because there isn't a situation where you can't benefit from them, but to cater to the challenge seeker's tastes, you need to ask how many situations you can't do without it, because their goal is to continuously test that limit. there is no objective, universal best. best is, inherently, unavoidably subjective. that is the truest fact about that word that you will ever derive from rationality alone. when you add context, you might find it easier to paint with a more objective or universal brush, it will never truly be objective or universal, best is 99%. now if you are done arguing over what is supposedly objectively the "best", can we get to whatever point was at hand before your pedantry combined with mine and resulted in all of this?
Fine, let me be clearer then, because I've been using "best" this entire time in its "most effective" definition, which as far as I've been taught allows objective descriptions when using it and that's where I originally drew issue with you with regards to combat. To fall back on what
said, fun is not synonymous with best, and that as far as I can tell is where the core of your argument about unga not being the best approach for combat lies as you described it as boring.
They just also happen to be the most generally efficient too.
most effective is a better word for it, but trying to play it of as an objective and verifiable truth seems a bit shortsighted, i'll let it slide since i'm pretty sure it's true, though. do these words have no meaning? also
>Personally, I don't get why you wouldn't just say something like fun or exciting instead of best, but I'll just chalk it up to regional differences or whatever.
oh boy, why don't we go and look to figure out. it would appear that
was the first mention of the word "best"
>Unga just happens to not only work but ends up being the best solution to the vast majority of the fights in the series.
this was in response to the aforementioned
>not every fight has a one-size-fit's-all approach unless you go full unga bunga.
so to answer your question of why i didn't just say "fun" or "exciting", it turns out i didn't say it at all. if there was no other point we were talking about beforehand, and if you don't want the last few words, i guess this can be over now.
> trying to play it of as an objective and verifiable truth seems a bit shortsighted, i'll let it slide since i'm pretty sure it's true
How else would you go about regarding effectiveness in Black Souls? Big numbers being pumped out as quickly as possible either timewise or turnwise is about as effective and also efficient as you can get in a turn based RPG, and unga's generally the best way to do that. Hell, the basic idea still holds true for most of the puzzle fights in BS2 even if the exact means change, the only fight that really breaks the mold in any way is the Old King's second phase with the turn locks.
>oh boy, why don't we go and look to figure out. it would appear that
Neither does the BRR though?
No.(You) was the first mention of the word "best"
If you were talking in the sense of fun then I don't see why you wouldn't just say fun instead of just reusing best because of it being the first word used.
>i guess this can be over now.
Sure.
You should slap her in the dungeon, you not only get some really fricking funny bits from it you get some lore as well.
>I don't see why you wouldn't just say fun instead of just reusing best because of it being the first word used.
that would be responding to a statement you did not say.
>that would be responding to a statement you did not say.
If not, then just drop it.
does it matter who you choose between mother, daughter or sister alice?
It matters if you are absolutely based or not.
i choose milf alice obviously

black souls 1: soul
black souls 2: soul
red riding woods: soulless
the average Ganker user: soulless
looks like we're stuck with red riding woods then.
Is it Red Riding Woods or Red Hood Woods? Cause I see both.
Play both, I did.
Both exist
homie what. Playing that makes you realize just how much shit persisted to Black Souls.
there is no soul on the name, so its soulless
Go easy on me it's 4am and I have work in three hours.
What's the best strategy for raping Kuti?
grab her tentacle hairs and start bouncing inside her dicky
Behave yourself knight
no I don't think so enjoy your vacancy in the void
imagine if you could see how many actions left you have in the turn, !100% bonus actions wouldnt be a pain in the ass
and while we're at it, see (and even read if you want extra luxury) your fricking buffs and debuffs
>semantics Black folk
I'll join
fun isn't the sole purpose of games, so best isn't identical with most fun
you're right, best is subjective.
>the only one to cum with rape on bs1 is the witch who used to be a man
what did they mean by this?
>He lacks critical information
Reminder that the point of this game is the story and not the gameplay. It's a very generic JRPG 90% of the time and when it's not it's just a gimmick battle.
Please just enjoy the game for what it is, freaking turbovirgins.
fair, but i enjoy the gimmick battles, personally.
Me too but that's besides the point.
They were not the pinnacle of creativity but it shows EMMM skill as a dev, hopefully BS3 will actually be a good game on top of a good story.
agreed. rpg maker is surprisingly versatile in the right hands, people have even made shmups and fighting games and a whole bunch of things with it. can't wait to see what the next game offers.
i concur in the context of orks. that's a well done unga system if ever there was one, lol.
YIZ ALL TALKING SHIT 'BOUT DAKKA? DUMB GITZ, DERE AIN'T NUFFIN MORE FUN DAN DAKKA
I hope BS3 will have dlc3 tier bosses throughout the entire game
Buy her cards NOW
Where are my cards? Wonderland is kinda slow these days
Where to buy
toro is selling them on https://igilyou.booth.pm/items/4400815 next restock should at the end of January if you want to buy them you need a proxy service like buyee so they can buy it for you
I must consume
I would if it was Toro's art
captcha: N1GM8
Yeah i prefer his art too
But you should buy the cards anyway! To support him!
Did I fricking miss it again?
going back to BS1 after finishing all of two is pretty cool, a lot of things make sense like alice watching you killing leonard
I know I wanna include two specific ones:
>The rabbit starting to tell Grimm about Alice before bursting into treats and no one reacting to it
>Spontaneously manifesting a list of dialogue options from a random question, and no matter which option the group selects, it defaults to "I'm going to Alice!"
But having a list of potential ones to work on would get the best scenarios for my players.
is it gonna be like a replica of black souls or just having small events like this?
Where is the crab? I can't find it in the freezer. Is it in Slaughterhouse?
you have to follow a monkey outside the elevator of the frumious forest to the top left area of the market
Ah, found it, thank you
I finished black souls 1 and i feel like my soul just became empty after seeing my waifus die over and over again.
thank god Mary Sue gets what she deserves, but i hate the fact that my waifus are still dead despite the revenge
>thank god Mary Sue gets what she deserves
Headpats
truthfully it was all her fault. However i would have loved Leaf. Sadly making Jeanne die in a Fire again is just fricking awful
We dont know, im sure Jabbers keikaku will come to fruition in BS3
Id love to see Leaf redeemed
Leaf seemed dead for good last time but assuming she will, I want Shub to return as well.
Ah yeah, trust me no one can truly overcome it. Not even Grimm, that's why it is even address in the game.
>Spoiler
I'm sure you will love BS2 storyline so you better look up to it anon, godspeed!
>dead red hood will be released in summer and who knows when is the translation gonna be done
>we wont get bs3 until toro is done making the demomic primcess spinoff game
I feel like i will die before i ever get to play bs3 to have a closure finally
you have enough time to study Japanese and make your own black souls fangame
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
It is over, Grimm
Today I will REMIND THEM
>BS1
SIN
>BS2
SENdam
>BS3
SANity or Saint
>Adam was described as a poet/author by Milton
>Grimm contains his soul
>Grimm will re-create Eden as his garden and hop across gardens to purify the tainted ouls of great ones
>Angels and Demons were more present in 2 with Lingerina, her partner, Florence, Victoria and her sister.
>The heaven, purgatory and heaven depicted by Dante have yet to appear in the series (we both know they will come on)
>We'll most likely see more Andersen influences, another sea area as well as Kuti's mom.
>Creating the garden of Eden
honestly that sounds like a bad chinese power fantasy, no matter how nicely the names align
Not them, but the garden of eden is already hinted as existing in DLC 3, Jekyll talks about being cast out of it.
I could see potential with BS3 having SAN, SON, SYN and maybe SUN.
synchronization perhaps
That is what I was thinking. It being a measurement of how much all 8 writers in Grimm are in synch with each other.
>son count
>after the events of BS3 grimm decides to set in with all his wifes
>the sex scenes are battles like the victoria minigame where depending on what you do it increases the chance of your child being male or female
>you need to keep a balance on this, since the female ones increase your affection with the wifes and the male ones serve as more training partners
>They train on the Chaos Dungeon where they learn more about Grimm's adventures
>One day the Chaos Dungeon is broken or something and is up to the team of sons to defend against a boss rush of most of the bosses in the series
>Grimm actually set this all up with Mabel to test how his sons were faring, and if they manage to beat it you get the true end or something I haven't thought of a good reward
>SUN
depending of your actions the sun goes darker and the forces of evil get stronger?
>hit too much SUN
>get sunrise
>The sleeping idiot wakes up
>Have to balance out good actions and bad actions like rape (once per character) and kill them or doing quests for them or reaching certain milestones but it's a limited resource per run.
Mite be cool.
Go the whole way and call it SANctum or something like that.
SANS__
I hope we get more demonbeasts being promoted to actual characters like Jabber. I'd love to see an actual Peter Pan character or a cat girl puss in boots.
Speaking of cats, I'd love to see Black personman referenced in some way
Oh shit
SANS???
Truly a Souls game
Can the flying books in the chaos dungeon still drop spells if they turn into teeth traps?
No.
Bit of a shame, but good to know that I haven't been wasting potential drops by moving on when that happens.
OH SHIT
Love Leaf.
Oh, this is hell.
WUBWUB, MOTHERFRICKER
I love my Kuchigatana
New BS3 content dropped.
How would Alex Yiik react to Grimm and his misadventures
A drawn-out sigh.
He would self insert and say Grimm dd nothing wrong.
Grimm did everything wrong
>NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR PARENTS RIGHT NOW ELMA, WE ALMOST DIED!
That line kinda felt out of character, for some reason.
BS3 should have a sleeping sex scene with Azathoth kek
Why can't I have sex with the actual eldritch abominations? Not the pretty girl skins they wear, I want Grimm to love their true forms.
Both, both are good.
[christmas music intensifies]
What do you think happened on the moon?
Kek. Yeah, now I think of it. But, I still want a proper scene, even if it is like
said.
Ah, what hell did I drag myself into
A fun one. I'd make a save state if you haven't.
GET THE FRICK OUT
Rude
Lorina is built for ryona.
No. She's built for me

Now, how do I H route
Once you leave ending G area, go to the dungeon and talk to Kot. She'll tell you where to go next. But before you actually go where she tells you, do Chaos Dungeon (floor 180 or so, you'll know when you're finished) and talk to the doll in Oxward
Ah. It's not supposed to be open yet, for now, right? Doorknob is immovable
It opens after progress 1, so as soon as you defeat any boss it should open.
Just don't kill the head hunting beast and avoid talking to red's beast form so you don't get locked out of G end route.
But anon, I've already done that route.
He's just saying in case you I guess, but yeah "Chaos Dungeon"Shatranj opens after progress 1. Also Did you fricked the cat already? You better go to the library before any progress or she'll disappear, don't miss her.
I did, I did. I fricked that goddamn cat. AND KILLED HER
How do you frick the cat? Thoughts she was the only unfrickable creature
Visit the library prison's first floor when you start a new cycle right after Ending G. She'll be waiting there if your progress is less than 0, you can talk, ask her to service you, frick her and Kill her like this heretic did
>Chaos Dungeon's floors are BS1 floors, except with different tiles. Or from a different timeframe seeing as this is the oasis in the desert
what the hell
Chaos is chaos, it's a complete mess. There's even some floors that look like they were from RRH.
Bloody hell, EMMM. And here I thought that the DLC1 Dragon/Whale was a mistake
just started bs2, does sen stands for sanity? i think i will go for a high sen run for my first run since on bs1 i did a low sin one, then on my second go full mad just like my second was full rape on bs1
Yes thats usually how it is recommended to play BS2
imagine if after bs triology is finished the dev makes a spiritual sucessor with a different culture, imagine black souls but with yokai

imagine her scene
So Touhou?
>ERMM will ditch sex content and focus solely in the horror aspect
>Terminadev will partner with him, making a touhou horror survival where you can target people's "stingers"

How much of Black Souls is just stock RPG Maker assets? I want to get into the games and thats not a dealbreaker for me but I'm curious about it. Liking the sketchy artstyle a lot
every single enemy that isnt drawn by EMMM is an RPG maker asset which exemplifies how clever he is. he is the picasso of utilizing freeuse media
>stock RPG Maker assets
Most of the stuff in 2 is by Mazeran Pickman. I don't know about BS1 though.
are there any other games that use newgame+ as part of their core narrative? ig that may be spoilers for the game recs but i want it, kind of like how undertale uses saves as a part of their narrative

That way Grimm's soul would be 100% black
EMMM should do a Fishmalk run in VtMB

I'm laughing so hard

But BS2 is inspired by DaS2 as well?
I never played dark souls.
I really thought there would be a really sad scene or something if you surrendered. This game is just consistently disappointing
Finished it. I liked the story overall but wow this was scuffed. The abyss and snow area were so, so bad.
it's perfect between BS1 and BS2, you get to see how he's improved and go into BS2 with all relevant info fresh in your mind

>game keeps crashing
I've had two crashes in the Chaos Dungeon and two in the base game in my entire time playing the game, and three of those are from the initial DLC 3 translation release of the game. When/where is it crashing for you?
It just does that sometimes when I get into an encounter.
nta but that happened to me when I kept ctrl+shift+z pressed to run and skip battle text
just take it easy and it'll stop crashing
I just checked and it showed a spike to 100% on gpu 0 when it crashed.
Is there an objectively better weapon out of the gun sidearms you can get?
The Cannon is the best one there is. You can find it in Shatranj.
Cannon takes a turn to fire IIRC. So if you're into worst rabbits, shotgun is obviously superior.
The cannon can be obtained in the main game you have to go back where the book was after fighting the bellman
Ah right right there's that chest too.

I legit don't know how can anybody beat Onimusha and lose to Maymay
The zombie scenes in bs2 were seriously gross as frick
They were meant to feel this way. In fact, the placement and tone of H-scenes were carefully planned. There's a reason why Lorina's and Kuti's rape felt much more brutal than everyone else's. Why most of DLC3's scenes felt comedic in tone, except for the VN section, which felt unsettling
At this point, I'm convinced that nothing is accidental in this game, everything is planned
I really doubt emmm has read the same breadth of western literature as everyone thinks he does
He's a NEET with nothing but free time, free to focus on game development and research. I can understand a coincidence or two, but not this many

Sorry senpai, raping monster girls is almost as fun as getting into a loving consensual relationship with pregnancy involved. I just beat that stupid wolf boss, I hope the adventures ahead are even more fun!
>This dude's playing like how Maymay describe Grimm's first cycles, not giving a shit about anything and drowning on hedonistic pleasure.

Kek have fun then. Lemme tell ya something there's a girl that you can impregnate!

It's within the family, so it's ok, it's only natural for her to compesate that after you gave her soo many souls

difficulty? I'm on 9 and they only do exactly 5000 for me (though I have all my stats maxed out).
Also, are pulling the lever? You aren't supposed to do that before you defeat him.
300k cumulatively, since he throws 20 undodgeable knives for 5000 hp each. And tends to do it thrice. Difficulty 5. I do not pull the lever, of course.
Worth spending clockworks on, that c**t.
Congratulations anon.
It only gets harder from here, heh.
I am already afraid. Shouldn't have walked on those rooftops.

Anon I'm curious, did you got Elizabeth Blackwell's letter, did you gave it to Florence?
Of course, I did. I met Gerda in the Igloo, that's the issue.
I see and that's a shame then, most people miss Florence due to the letter but you even had it. Oh well I guess you can't do anything for Gerda now since your other savefile is 11 hours away from your current one. Keep on and if you still motivated to do another cycle do save her.
Can't you just beat it with counter?
Be sure to visit him
Magic is a USELESS thing in BS2.
What did you say?
Sorry Anon, I couldn't hear you with all the noise that Catherine's Wheels lubricated with Victoria's Royal Tea make.
Not sure where to ask, but does anyone have a copy of picrel that they're willing to share? I lost my own copy somehow and the links I previously got it from are dead.
https://files.catbox.moe/t826i0.pdf
Thank you so much. I even tried to buy the kindle ver and it gave me the wrong edition even after I double checked.
Do you perhaps have a link for the other 2 fairy tales books illustrated by this guy? They should be the wizard of oz and peter pan iirc.
Gerda... could you have had a better end? Or were you doomed from the start, even if I didn't go on these roofs?
>Gerda... could you have had a better end?
Yeah.
You just had to ignore her in the cave, run towards the church, speak to the snowman, and THEN go back and speak with Gerda in the cave.
Oh, frick, that's quite far away. Shit.
If you skip her 2nd encounter (igloo/mountains), go to the rooftops, then later return to Gerda, she'll reach a different end
Guess she's fricked, then.
You can always go NG+ and choose the other route between Lion/Unicorn
how long is bs2? bs1 took me 17 hours to get all endings and all h scenes
a lot longer

IT MaDe a GRIMMIllIOn DOllaRS On DlSITe
my favorite part of the game is when he says "going to alice" and alices all over the place
God damn the chaos dungeon is tedious, is there no way to increase depth quickly?
Use your Squirrel Tails.
Depth is tied to the amount of floors you navigate, so jumping from one floor to the next with the tails will make the process faster.
Unless you've none.
I've successfully gotten through the boring part to the more dangerous floors and now I'm a bit stumped at the frog king.
Those floors where they put a Lady on the field were a real pain to get through.
Skip monsters, rush to the stairs, take the squirrels. That's it basically. Run with the speed of Dodo!
I saw a link in a Black Souls thread to all of the Columbo episodes once. Anyone have that here?
Red's faking her moans when she has sex with Grimm? I can't tell if that's romantic or not.
She's trying her best.
What's the lore behind the "She" enemy in the slaughterhouse at 0 SEN?
Apparently abominations birthed by TCO and hidden in the slaughter house by Node, they are too deformed to be hidden by cutsy High Sen filters
Ah okay, that makes a lot of sense
What are the conditions for Blackwell's letter again?
Talk to her in Lutwidge
Talk to her in the gay lizard cathedral. (maybe some time needs to pass after your first encounter for her to go there)
She'll leave the letter after you hit progression 10 I think.
does the letter remain after ng+?
Remember to vote in the Vidya Gaem Awards. Black Souls got nominated for Golden Snub, PMbros are there too.
I haven't paid attention to that in ages, what was the Golden Snub award for again?
For best games that somehow never won anything.
... but did Black Souls get nominated for that or Black Souls II?
II
does anyone know the password for the secret file in the secret file in the [...] secret file in the bonus file of the game?
Does Onimusha's 2nd phase 2nd half attack remove your guard status? She keeps fricking me up with it and somehow even stunning me despite the fact I put on 2 +50% stun resist rings.
Okay I got to the 3rd phase, how do you survive the onslaught there? Put on requiem and pray?
yeah bro, try requiem
Load up on defense and HP, boost your guard with soul shield if you have that.
How to fix the corrupt file error on install? Nothing I've been trying works and I just want to play the sequel
>check status
>stun resist is at 80%
Oh you've gotta be fricking kidding me, ailment resistances are multiplicative?
Anyway thanks, I stacked some HP gear and Node's covenant and it worked.
I'm starting to feel a problem with the fact I'm nearly always using black goat's rings and they kind of make you unable to use any weapon skills unless you have the kishingatana equipped.
where is my lorina
In your heart
>use break on old king when they're charging Zex Calibur

holy christ this took so many tries.
sick fight though
grats!
This boss fight is one of the best. I enjoyed it a lot.
The boss that gives the fox and the grapes isnt here :c
you need the prostitutinating prostitute active
What does this mean? You mean the prostitute from the tavern?
Griffy
Do I have to advance to a new cycle after getting ending G to access DLC3?
No.
>There's nothing in game to suggest that "hero" just refers to one person
That I completely disagree with, at least regarding the descriptions about the hero we see across the items and NPCs, but there's no point in going on an autistic argument if neither of us are going to persuade the other.
We'll just have to wait until BS3, then. I'll continue looking for more evidence in the meantime.
>Jabber never calls you the hero that killed her either
she actually do that
She never implies you are the one who cut her head the first time there. Just that it potentially would be her second time getting "off with her head"
I don't know, anon. Both Vorpal and Jabber refer to you as the hero.
>and Jabber
She isn't calling you the hero there, at best she's using it as a concept there.
What happened to the site that had the Black personmen language translator?
Nothing? It's working alright. https://zasz.su/bs/translator.html
Some people around these threads say Jabbergays are the ones with most lore knowledge, followed by MayMayfriends, others may thing otherwise like anon here
. Of course it depends on how much interest you've on Black Souls but I'm sure there a loregays for each Black personmenwaifu out there. No one knows more than Dodo though.
Which waifugays are the biggest loregays?
Redgays, they just don't bring her up because she's a shitposting magnet.

>finally reach Nurse Call
Oh boy now I remember why I got filtered the first time.
So, how the frick do I survive the attack she does after charging? I'm summoning the wall and everything.
Update: I beat her, mostly by spamming Jabberwock's 10% HP spell, R'lyeh cooldown reset and requiem one after another. It feels kinda dirty but a win's a win.
Keep Big Sis's scythe in mind. It's quite helpful.
>reading JP wiki
>see that the cheeky oyster is written as メスカキ
Holy shit I feel so dumb for not realising the pun sooner.
Oh frick me Florence isn't any easier.
You know who to rely on, right?
Hein's scythe was better since it deals a fixed 6666 damage
On Diff9 it deals pitiful damage. There, Jabberwocky's scythe truly shines.
How do i get it though?
After I get any ending in BS2, do I have to play from a new save or can I continue through the same save and do NG+ stuff? Thanks!
The latter; you can get all endings and do every single thing in one single savefile.
Where do I find griffy after the bridge?
right side of the maze garden, there should be an opening to go through
She doesn't show up not sure if i missed something earlier on
Go to the troony God's Cathedral, pull the lever and visit the Drag-homosexual Ass-Lizard. She'll be there. Then do as anon said
and visit the Maze Garden.
Ive already talked to her and maxed her and the gods covenant she still doesnt show up
She didn't show the first time you went there? If I recall well the order was: Lutwidge Bridge > Ripon Cathedral > Maze right side > Castle > Queensland. Not counting special events.
I did fall down the trap after first talking to her would that have screwed up the sequence?
Nah that doesn't have any impact, I just checked it up and the order I described is correct, Griffy shows up at the Cathedral right after the scene on the bridge. I really do not know why she isn't there on your end, maybe you went too far on progress count I dunno.
Before the bridge she goes to meet Bill at the Cathedral, Dodo.
>Before the bridge

I like both Red and Mary equally.
Why do people like j*bber with everything that's happened?
Why do people like l*af with everything that's happened?
Is there a way to know which Unicorn is the real one during her fight?
Just kill them all
I did that my first run just using Bander's weapon but I'd rather not have to charge it up 9 times again
There is a certain discrepancy between attacking the real and fake ones.

You're still missing DLC3 content, which goes after "Chaos Dungeon". You still haven't found Alice.
Wdym? Isn't Alice = TCO ?
Why do you think you're still playing and into a new cycle? There's still part of the story you're missing, anon. I take you already did DLC1 and visited Kuti, go forward to "Chaos Dungeon"/
Shatranj and complete it. Once MayMay shows you the stars. Take a boat trip in Carroll River. There, DLC3 waits for you.
NTA but, where i can find sackhead girl and plague doctor gal?
1st one is in the first area of DLC3. Elizabeth Blackwell is first found hidden a little below the entrance to the Mental Ward in Lutwidge town and later on Ripon Cathedral, and in the end atRipon Cathedral's basement. You can only Rape her in the first two locations and if you do you won't be able to get her letter. Which is a requirement to recruit Florence in DLC3.
i am using poison 2 on a bunch of bosses and all of them where not affected. is poison just useless or i am unlucky? meanwhile all bosses where able to catch on fire
on bs2 i forgot to add
just unlucky.
is there any downsides in smoking with the cartepillar or its really free levels? also has anyone found any use for request advice?
Have you ever played Dark Souls 3?
no
That's unfortunate
she will die of an opium overdose if you smoke more than 4 times

PLEASE tell me the only reason to kill this thing is lore
You don't have to kill him if you don't want to. He's not required for anything in particular storywise.
I think you can also get a unique soul out of him for a weapon, but I ended up getting his weapon from a chest before I actually beat him.
Wait, does Edith's ring get taken from you when you go to a different cycle?
Yes.
Yes, and a handful of others like Leaf's or Prickett's.
They're like many of the Key Items in the Pokémon games; story-relevant and as such shouldn't carry over automatically. You're supposed to go and fetch them again.
>Prickett's
No. Prickett's will always stay with you.
I can just pick the route for DLC3 just going off who I want, right? Unicorn is more my type so I'm gonna go with her.
Yeah, the whole DLC is rather short so you can just redo the cycle for the other route.
goddamm that's hot
And so, I'm here again. This time, everyone is saved. And ready to shut the theater down, at diff9.
>in order to collect all the fairytales I had to kill my daughter
>she was happier outside of the fairytale than inside it
>the ring wasn't even that good
