The game has plenty of holes and traps, many times combined.
Care to post a video of yourself clearing Kamek's Revenge without getting hit or losing?
>The game has plenty of holes and traps, many times combined.
Not compated to other Marios and platformers. There are tons of key hunting and puzzle levels

We're waiting, anon. Don't worry, thread will still be here by the time you finish school today.
The same homosexual (probably you, otherwise why would you even reply... twice lol
>2 people conversing >wtf 2 IPs
) made 2 consecutive posts, but trying to appear to be as if it was another anon, by quoting his own post ("it can put you to sleep") and hence replying to himself.
Shameful
To be honest I think it's more sad that you somehow noticed and thought of this in the first place. And then complained about it.
I wouldn't have even noticed but looking at it just looks like an add on to their own post. Why jump to the conclusion it's supposed to be done deceptively and not just done in lieu of an edit which this site doesn't support?
Why be a prick?
I can see how you'd feel that when you were 12 but if you still refuse to play it for that reason your just a flat out idiot who doesn't deserve to play it.
Let's all support anon in his time of need. I've got enough free time this weekend to shoulder at least a quarter of the palanquin for his coming out parade in Gay City.
Anybody else in?
If they made an actual sequel to SMW with this aesthetic instead of putting Black person game thief Yoshi as the main character in it then I wouldnt be so angry about this game 20 years later
I like YI and SMW equally, but to be fair, Yoshi's Island is a lot more style-over-substance, unlike SMW. SMW has power-ups (of which, if you count Yoshi and its variations, is superior to SMB3), world maps and secrets like the switch palaces. In fact, I think SMW is still unsurpassed as the most "for pros" Mario game, no other mainline mario title has a button for two types of jumps for instance. It's no wonder that most people, even casuals, feel that SMW is more fun.
Yoshi's Island is weirdly buggy or unfinished, almost like they ran out of time. Everyone, including Nintendo, acts like it's that extremely ambitious lightning in a bottle passion project, so that emphasizes even more for me
Horrible game, though great looking. Having to stop your progress to catch a floating baby every time you take a hit is the worst mechanic I’ve ever seen. It just puts the game at a standstill until you get the baby back
It's like people who only push the A or B button one at a time on the NES. So frustrating to watch my friends try and beat Super Mario while running and then stopping to jump.
>collecting and shooting eggs is just as quick and easy as fire power Mario
Cope. Even a TAS Yoshis Island run looks slow as frick compared to basic Mario bros
>making eggs >basic flower power power up
Yoshis Island is the worst Mario game ever made.

This. It's just boring outside of the art style
[...] >The game has plenty of holes and traps, many times combined.

malding auster, your bad opinions will never catch on.
Keep trying tho.
The beta version had even more soul in it, the game had so much S O V L that it couldn't all fit in the cartridge and they had to remove some of it for the final release
Not much else, though. So many levels that barely even have any holes or traps, it can put you to sleep

t. Dumbass who has not played the game.

no one said it doesn't have one good level. doesn't justify the 80%
>Deflecting the challenge
It's okay, I know you don't play video games
Oh it's you again.
>it can put you to sleep
That's why Mario goes WAH WAH WAH
>IP count still 2
This is just sad, man.
Also you know what follows the crying argument: get good and don't get hit
>2 people conversing
>wtf 2 IPs
>>IP count still 2
So... OP replied to the person directly replying to him? How scandalous!

It's too baby-ish. SMW was pushing it but I was embarrassed to play this in the living room when I was 12.
Imagine being so insecure that you refuse to play a game because it has a couple of flowers and butterflies in it.
I can see how you'd feel that when you were 12 but if you still refuse to play it for that reason your just a flat out idiot who doesn't deserve to play it.
Almost as much as SMW2
Smw was a halfassed mess, you should have been embarrassed for that
Yoshi's Island avoids being infantile, it just features protecting one baby and rescuing another. Yoshi's Story is when things got too baby-ish.
This game is comfy and I like it
I also like the tribute chapter to it in Paper Mario
I know. It’s a treat. I’m planning to play this again for the first time in over a decade in the next few months.
You sound like the biggest homosexual around, anon. I could be replying to the mayor of Gay City right now for all I know.

Imagine how much this would get memed if it released today with no precedent of Yoshi poping out eggs.
>I don't play games and just like to shitpost
It's cute, I like it. Has aged surprisingly well. I wish they had done another like it, I guess Yoshi's Island DS is good enough.
Worst SNES "mario" game
nobody cares about your opinion, anon.
Yoshi's Story is the better game and has infinitely more soul and I will defend this statement to the death.

sure thing buddy

Yoshi's Island is a rare example of a game that has soul but isn't very good. SMW was better.
Yoshi's Island triggers australia-kun immensely. He can't help himself.
Based Yoshi's Island.
ha ha
Literally childhood: the game
>making eggs
>basic flower power power up
Yoshis Island is the worst Mario game ever made.
what are you evem trying to say
those powerups are completely different
the eggs are more like mario land 1's powerball
They're not even like that as you don't stop in Mario Land to prepare being able to shoot a fireball.
>he stops to shoot eggs
Get good
It's like people who only push the A or B button one at a time on the NES. So frustrating to watch my friends try and beat Super Mario while running and then stopping to jump.

OHHH I'VE GOT TO REFILL MY EGGS AT THE INFINITE FODDER ENEMY RESPAWNER BEFORE I GO ANY FURTHER!!! HURRY UP EGGIES!!!

For example?
genuinely curious.
Too cluttered and hard to read
