I think the general sentiment is to look forward to the next game but still be really cautious about it. Bugs never really bothered people too much as is the case of New Vegas, and if the Molyneux era of videogames was to be believed people weren't bothered by lies too much either. It's the gameplay that matters and the game offers far better and freeform gameplay than most games out there, and I loved E.Y.E.

everyone that is mad about this game bought it on release and got burned. i didn't give a frick about it, played it after edgerunners/1.6, and it's fine. it had a few bugs but i've played enough bethesda games to not be phased. combat is very satisfying if a bit shallow. the driving is the worst shit in a video game but i'm a big loregay and the world was fun to learn about. i enjoyed it and look forward to pirating the dlc as well as the next game.
With mods I'm having a lot of fun. Cyberscript may be a ball of fricking jank, but when it works, it adds a lot to the base game.

However, I enjoyed the Witcher 1/2/3, so I expected good things out of Cyberpunk, and was disappointed. I placed an expectation of good quality on CDPR prior to CP2077, and now I place an expectation of bad quality on their games going forward, until proven otherwise.

I came into it familiar with the roleplaying game - the original Cyberpunk 2020, which is famously pretty realistic (aka deadly) where firearms are concerned. In 2077, in the pickup quest with the maelstrom you are sitting down with the leader of that super cybered-up gang, things go poorly, and you have to fight your way out...and you just...do. You, a completely normal, fully "meat," low-rep criminal (wearing, in my case, a tank top, and armed with a pistol), fight your way past 10-30 heavily-cybered gang members and just leave the building like nothing happened. Nobody cares, nobody reacts to it, you just do it like it's completely normal. At that point, for me, the pretense of the Cyberpunk world completely melted away, and I knew I was just playing an average first-person looter shooter and not an RPG.
