Nah. That's still Cynthia and that god damned piano.
But that's wrong. Hell, B/W took the piss out of the "post game superboss in a dungeon" trope and put her right in the middle of your exploration JUST to push your shit in.
Are you acting like cameo bosses aren't a common thing in JRPGS? Much less in ones taking cues from Dragon Quest and SMT of all series which love doing that?
they are often campy and out of place
Red at the end of Mt.Silver fits within the canon, fits his character, his team is kino, and aside from catching them all, fits as the final challenge in the game.
>fits his character
He doesn't even have characterization in G/S/C outside of the player finding out he's a dick to his mom. And he doesn't line up with PokeSpe Red either.

So are other cameo bosses initially but they at least got some semblance of personality if made into superbosses. Methinks you might be leaning your own headcanon a touch too much.
That just makes Cynthia's scenario look better. She didn't need people hyping her up, you walk in the villa, hear the music that preceded your ass kicking in Sinnoh and know you fricked up.
You can say no when she asks you to battle though to go back and prepare.
With Red, you just get thrown straight into a battle, no backing out.
You say this as if the woman giving you the chance to run doesn't make the situation more harrowing. It's her effectively making the gesture into a power move.
that only works in the context of a story which can determine the payoff and throttle the progress accordingly. since this wasn't developed by inkle, it just undercuts her
>The most iconic moment in pokemon game history
Pretty sure that’s the starter selection in Gen 1. Red in GSC is very cool, but normies probably don’t even know about it.
>implying >muh zoomer boogeyman
First off, HGSS exists, moron. Zoomers had plenty of access to Johto/Kanto. Second, GSC was my first real experience playing pokemon.
A trainer battle at the tail end of a long game isn’t going to be as iconic as the beginning of the games that experienced peak casual exposure in pokemania.
It will never not bother me how the player character was never centered on screen in the GB games
offset is more soul
>It will never not bother
Try "it will always bother me", zoomie
Yeah, pretty much.
No other gen has attempted this.
PWT doesn't count, and if it did, there's no lead up to it.

yes
some of you guys are alright. don't go into undella town after beating the league
the happening thread will be screencapped for decades
Red is the previous hero, whose exploits are spoken of all throughout Johto. Team Rocket's broken state is his (your) legacy.
Cynthia is just bumming around at her friend's house, even gives you a chance to prepare

>the music that preceded your ass kicking in Sinnoh
But her fight in Sinnoh was easy as shit.
>clearly GSC Red
>no Espeon
What the frick?
Do these people even fricking play the games??
Fr bruh. This deadass the most bussin moment in pokemon no cap
You can say no when she asks you to battle though to go back and prepare.

Nobody knew how tough he'd be
Little Timmy's crawling back to the Pokécentre
Nope, this is.
Soul
incorrect, the most iconic moment in SwSh was when they made the villain reveal monologue into a shitty slideshow

Iconic is relative.
Generation and if you're casual really factor in to this.
more like the most autistic moment
Reminder: The most iconic moment in Pokémon game history may be set in Johto but it is with Kanto's most iconic trainer.
Yes, Kanto's most iconic trainer: that guy in Johto.
Unova is better
