They do enough differently from the books so far, which are used more like a framework. Rodya has more in common with Dostoevsky than Raskolnikov, and Yi Sang is more about the poet and his life, than any one of his works. But you can see some cheeky little references here and there if you read them.

There is no challenge to this game. PM isn't introducing new gameplay mechanics to make it fun. It's just Gacha slop. The Halloween event where you can only roll for IDs, the new Banner being pay only, new chapters just being longer grinds through the same enemies for a boss that can be beaten first try without learning it's mechanics, RR2 being a repetitive slog. It's al so bad.

The only bizarre part of it is where they get ammo ( probably using U-Corp to make their own ammunition in similar manner to Thumb). Other than that it's interesting concept to see why pirates exist, since I doubt there is much plunder in the ocean with how there is no reason for sea trade in the City. Outis original concept was to be a finisher type character that did more damage to enemies that were nearly dead, her 0 ID and base EGO support this. This happens to fit perfectly with Nikolai's gimmick with Disposal.
Furthermore having Rapid Gashes as her skill 2 would ensure she has a powerful multi die hit for clashes and damage. Battle Command as her S1 that also acts as a party buff like with her G Corp ID (better buffs at higher charge) would also be a good choice. Her passive as a resonance should either be finishing touch, the Commander, or some combination of the two. For example the commander being active as long as she has the required charge and activated her passive at least once while the finishing touch should be the standard "activated" effect.

Not necessarily. Obviously if you have IDs you especially WANT you should grab them, but having more shards available in the event of a better future ID is generally preferable. So mostly hold, only shard if you're suHispaniciously missing some important IDs.
Theres not enough support for burn/rupture to really work for those. Charge is already pretty well supported. Zwei greg is good.

I think the samurai sword was one of the few weapons able to deal PALE damage, the armor had good resistances but we got tier modifiers for E.G.O and abnos depending on differences and blah blah blah. I love Laetitia.

If you use defensive skill on a skill 2 and got a skill 2 or 3 on the upper row then use it, it's gonna act like it discarded the lower row skill but it's gonna stay there and you just gotta remove the defense after.
