The way my local gaming scene is, if a system doesn't take up a large chunk of the gaming market it may as well not exist.

It's hard for me to finish projects if I start branching out. This happened multiple times before with Mordheim, Death Guard, AdMech and Tallarn + other misc warbands for skirmish games.
I'm working on an ork army for 40k rn and it'd be a shame if I lost interest again

Could well be decent, but a completely different scale so you can't dip your toes in with new models, plus it's a completely different type of fantasy to WHF (honestly closer to AoS tonally)

A fun game, but has too much of the simplicity that one can find in AoS with none of the customisability that WHF had. Also the gameplay itself is actually very different beyond being rank and flank; no individual model removal, heroes can't join units, etc..
The closest game in terms of how WHF played at its best is ASOIAF, but then you have similar lack of RPG elements that KoW has, different model/scales like waht you get in Conquest, and also the scene is very competitive focused rather than on cool narrative stuff like in 9th age.
