I think I wanna replay it and then I start and remember most of the game and quit. Sucks too because the endgame is pretty good, but getting there just sucks.
You seem to be in the minority considering it has the most players of any souls game on steam. Strange that these threads keep popping up so consistently, given how much of a minority opinion this is.
I disagree. 3 is much more generous with upgrade materials and with how fast-paced it is, if you just dump points into DEX, nothing is really too much of a challenge.
DS1 is slower with more of a balance between STR and DEX.
DS1 strength is extremely easy if you just use poise. Most enemies won't survive a single hit from larger weapons and bosses become extremely lenient with error once you're past a certain poise threshold. DS3, on the other hand, uses hyperarmor, so in order to get use out of high poise, you need to time your attacks and consider whether the trade is worth it or not.
I replayed it probably 50 times at this point but i understand why a lot of people think that. The first ~30-40% of the game is a boring, swampfilled snoozefest and also way too easy. I wish i could just skip everything from high wall until irithyll.
Game also has a stretch of not great bosses all frontloaded from the start as well. Vordt isn't bad but piss easy, Greatwood is a gimmick fight, Sage is somewhat a gimmick fight, Deacons is a gimmick fight, and Abyss Watchers themselves are a great boss who are hampered by their lack of HP. I usually play Champion's Ashes if I'm doing PVE at this point since they make some good changes to the bosses to keep it lively.
I thought it was difficult at first too. Coming back to this game after playing Elden Ring changes your perception of difficulty A LOT. These enemies actually seem fair by comparison.
Although I'm sure From Soft is going to release Zanzibart or some shit that makes Elden Ring look easy too
straight line
are cheap and hard and annoying to fight
DS3 was not linear. Having all enemies make you use your brain heightens the danger whereas you would just be overleveled and steamrolling in every other game.
So true. I replayed DS1 and DS2 so many times it's unreal. However when I got my hands on DS3, I finished it once and never had any desire to go on. To think that there's still Sekiro, BB and Elden Ring in my backlog... Bros, should I keep on going?
It's the only one I never finished. DS2 is the only one I never replayed. Besides that, Sekiro, BB, ER, and Demon's I have quite a few replays of.
but enough about II

It's the easiest and most accessible.
DS1 is much easier than DS3. DS2 is harder but only for the jank hitboxes.

final boss of DS1 has a 1 second long parry window
My moron. I got through the entire game without parrying, I'm not learning how to parry for the final boss.
That's because you can comfortably circle strafe literally every enemy in ds1
only gays parry on souls games
I still need to go back and get the Anri marriage route. Also need to do the DLC.
I don't even know how to parry in these games
I beat them all by the way
I've never parried in these games either. I'm much more of a big hammer, big squish kind of guy.

>boring straight line

I hate replaying it because of how hard everything is in 3. Easily the hardest of their games.

You can mix it up and try a build that r1 spams and rolls around a lot though. Maybe go to farron keep first.
Let me guess - Farron Keep?
>is absolutely fucking unskippable in your way lmao fuck you
What the fuck were these fucking morons thinking?
And High Wall of Lothric
And Road of Sacrifices
And Smouldering Lake
And Anor Londo

No. Just leave it at those two and leave.
OP here. I'm trans btw
I'll never understand why people think 3 was so great. It wasn't.
2 was shit too, the only good DS was 1.
>the only good DS was demons souls
a opinion i can agree on Ganker . nice
Dark Souls 2 will always be the retarded black sheep of the series
