PC ports have gotten a lot shittier this gen, it was easy to port console games when they were bottlenecked by ancient CPUs but series and ps5 have modern CPUs now
The ports are even easier now, it's just that the versions on PC don't let you turn the settings down as low as they can go on console and a lot of them won't let you precompile shaders for some reason.
When we say, "PC ports are bad", we don't mean "this pc port is unplayable", we mean, "vgh i cant run it 4k ultra @ 120 fps with my midrange graphics card. I need to settle for 2k medium (still higher than console settings)"

1) Previous gen having such anemic hardware combined with the hardware being so close to PC that PC ports became commonplace. This meant that the best value for your money was usually PC gaming.
2) Bad launch. People wanted the PS5 but couldn't buy it. Now after 3 years, people don't want it as much.
