There are millions of friendless pieces of shit who would rather form parasocial relationships with streamers
and watch games being played rather than finding friends to play games with.
Why is this?

      What requires effort?
Face to face socialization is what life is all about and comes naturally.

Maintaining a friendship is fricking difficult. People are needy, noisy and burden you with their negativity.

        >finding friends to play games with.
If you are in college it makes sense to find friends to play games with. Its easy with that many clubs and activities.
Outside of college its exponentially more difficult as everyone is locked into their own life. You could maybe find a friend in a multiplayer game but most will turn out a negative experience.

At 32 I don't feel like I'm that much older than someone who is in their 20s, but they seem to have a completely different paradigm of reality that makes no sense to me.

How is there such a stark contrast just from 5-10 years?

The rift between our gens is huge, me and you grew up before the internet, we know that raw unconnected world. Zoomers don't, they can barely imagine our world. How can we possibly understand each other

TikTok, instagram and other similiar social network cancer. It's the complete opposite of our anonymous interaction and the forums of yore, where people debate and ridicule on the razor's edge, beyond the scope of the popular opinion with no regard to personal admonishment nor achievement.

Instead, these zoomers follow the popular trend chasing clout under their own name and face for everyone to see, without any thought or reason behind their actions. Only able to react and follow.

Why are you asking this question to your online anonymous "friends" instead of someone you know in real life?

        I have two reasons:
        >The jester is amusing me with his jests

        >The professional is showcasing their l337 gayming skills

I have friends in real life, friends online, have a family, am without exception well liked in my job, and I watch streamers every day.

You are insecure about being a lonely, unlikeable homosexual and hating twitch streams and twitch viewers and getting on your high horse about everything isn't going to change that. Work on yourself and stop judging others.

Are people who are introverted defective people?

I’m more introverted myself, but it seems strange to me that despite the fact that humans are supposedly social creatures, there also happen to be people who find socialising to be a tedious chore. To say nothing of the fact that all of modern culture is set up to gaslight people into thinking that not liking socialising is abnormal.

It also seems like introverts are able to socialise with other introverts just fine, but they also find that talking to a more extroverted normie feels like talking to an alien.

Seriously, why do we even exist? Are we just mentally ill or something?

the world has changed. Our biology no longer reflects what is going on around us, our instincts and drives are out of date and we do not have millions of years to wait for them to catch up. Humanity as it is right now has the ability to uplift themselves, but society as it is right now would never allow that to happen. We are dangling between two extremes and getting the worst of both worlds.

It is just Entropy really. Progressivism is bassicaly destroying order until the system colappse and something new may be born.. then once again you or your children will live in extreme traditional society until it again start progressing. people always think that one side either conservative or progressives must be evil. in reality neither side is evil it is just nature

I have a friend who's always telling me how he wants to start streaming and make it as a huge streamer, it's the only future plan he's ever talked about
He's 27 and has never streamed anything before so it's kind of sad to hear him talk about it

It is easier to pay money for instant acknowledgement from streamer than maintain an actual friendship.

I'm a weirdo. On one hand I would like to have a partner, a gf. But on the other hand I absolutely loathe to be around people. I don't hate people, I actually like some of them and I don't wish them ill, but I simply hate being around people and try to get away from them whenever I can. I'm always anxious and tense in social situations and go completely empty headed, having no idea what to say or how to react. The weirdest thing is that it fluctuates from time to time. There are periods where I'm more socially competent that last a while but after a while I'm back to complete social moron and repeat.
