If you want YIIK done right, I regularly shill Saturday Morning RPG even if it's drastically less memeable than YIIK. The references themselves aren't the jokes, it's more like Kingdom of Loathing in the way that the reference is a setup for a joke.

I was going to argue that Y7 has brain dead combat and that most of its charm comes from the scenario writing and it’s on-the-nose references to JRPG design and structure, but then I realized that is exactly what makes it the true successor to Mother. So yeah, well-played, OP.
The only thing YIIK got right were the action command inputs, which I‘m not even sure will be returning in IV so who fricking cares at this point. The game is a solid 7/10 that the devs themselves ruined thanks to baiting trolls. So annoying.

Yakuza as a series is designed for fujo prostitutes with gameplay so shallow that even their inferior spatial memory and rote memorization IQs doesn't pose an issue, what did you even expect?
There are like 1-2 viable classes. You farm the other classes for their abilities but stay on hero.

I only really remember the ending because that voice acting was fantastic and I like the little speech Ichiban gave, it's the only time a "speech" in a JRPG has actually resonated with me.
