I'm not saying Thrall is blameless in this, he definitely chose poorly, but he didn't cause Garrosh to act like that, it was his own doing.

I can't believe there were groups of people sitting in a meeting room, trying to come up with an expansion and together decide to take a huge dump on the afterlives of WoW. Not only was it shit but surely some of them must've realized that explaining everything about your world takes away the "magic" of it?

You're an orc steadfast in your shamanistic beliefs about ancestors and elements or whatever. You died and end up in a fricking victorian esque vampire place to serve as some sort of battery because you were mean?

It gets even more fricked up when you consider their explanation regarding timelines / alternative universes. Garrosh, for example, was described as being a noble and honorable orc in every other timeline except ours. Only in the main, true timeline did he become a tyrant, and yet all the good deeds he did across the multiverse wasn't enough to spare him from Revendreth. Can you imagaine just how seriously fricked up that is? There could be ten Garroshs or one hundred, but all it took was for one version of him to condemn every other version of him to the same hell.

Genuinely can't believe they allowed Shadowlands to happen, it's so fricking stupid.

            Anonymous

Yeah, he was described like that because the Mag'har questline was written by Afrasabi, who was the same guy who wrote Stonetalon and still seething all the way into BFA about how MoP made Garrosh.
There's a reason, it was the only heritage quest in the entirety of BFA that didn't get any voice acting. Dude got fired while making that quest.
Shadowlands then went on to depict Garrosh as WoW's been depicting him since MoP, as an Orc who's pride was so strong it powered the entirety of Revendreth and the Maw.

              >Proceeds to get fired during this time for being a sex pest
              >Questline is unfinished and the devs refuse to pick up on any plot beat from questline, until 3 expansions alter.

This was retconned in MoP Remix, of all places. There is a mount you can buy with flavor text that states Garrosh joined the Burning Legion in an alternate timeline and destroyed everything there.

How the frick did teneras even know this? Not a single person in the organization dedicated to stopping the scourge even suggested this possibility, but some dude who died several years ago had some kind of secret knowledge of the scourge?
But now there is no lich king and everything is fine, the scourge didn't wipe out everything. So either this scene was retconned or teneras was just fricking making everything up. Retcons are nothing new in warcraft, but retconning the ending cutscene of an expansion is way more egregious than retconning a piece of lore that appeared in some game manual. The other alternative might even be dumber, because now the ending of wotlk is arthas's ghost dad appearing, saying some complete horseshit that he just made up on the spot, and everyone blindly believing him. The scene is no longer about a heroic sacrifice, but is a scene of a moron being tricked by a ghost with dementia into making himself the lich king.

Oh god I completely forgot he was a construct. I'm now reminded of the last raid where you fought some tacky beta robot versions of the afterlife gods. And that a troony angel became a god or some shit in the end.

Basically the Jailer manipulated Dreadlords that corrupted Sargeras who corrupted the Eredar who corrupted Gul'dan who corrupted the Orcs and made contact with Medivh who was possessed by Sargeras who was corrupted by the Dreadlord agents of the Jailer to start the invasion of Azeroth which would result in the Horde losing and Ner'zhul destroying Draenor with his portal and being captured by Kil'jaeden who binds Ner'zhul's soul to the Helm of Domination (the Jailer mindhacked one of the other leaders of the Shadowlands and had him create Frostmorne, the Helm of Domination, and the Lich King's armor) and then throws Ner'zhul onto Azeroth to create the Scourge for the Legion but actually for the Jailer so that Arthas will pick up Frostmourne, become a Death Knight, and kill Sylvanas, raise her as a banshee, and then lose control over her and a faction of the scourge so that eventually Sylvanas will kill herself after Arthas' death and be transported to the Maw so that the Jailer can turn her into his puppet so that she can break the barrier between the mortal realm and the Shadowlands by shattering the Helm of Domination that the Jailer had created so that the Jailer can cross through a portal once he collects all the Infinity Sigils to rewrite reality.

The only thing you forgot is telling Sylvanas to start a big fricking war so that a lot of people would die and get sent to the Maw, somehow giving him the power necessary to overcome his banishment.

It was all apart of the Jailers plan, to trick someone into taking up the Lich King mantle.
    >Canonically held soul shard of King Terenas within the maw.
He influenced the spirits to further his plan, he didn't care if it was Bolvar or Tirion who took up the helm, but it all worked in his favour, so he could whisper to them over time and see if their will would break.

The helm controls the scourge so someone must wear it.

why doesn't that someone just order all scourge to destroy all their structures and war machines and then kill themselves?

    >order them all to kill themselves or jump in a volcano

    >plays as important influential character that clawed their way up from rank and file.
    >every “main character”desperately need your help and can’t succeed on their own so you take over and do if for them
    >wow lore doesn’t recognize you as existing at all and every main character takes 100% of the credit for every action you do

    Is wow just cuck fantasy?
