They also learn the elemental beams (Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt) and their high power versions (Blizzard, Fire Blast, Thunder). I refuse to believe anything that doesn't learn surf and all elemental beams is a kaijumon. No Volcarona is not a kaijumon, I don't care if it resembles Mothra, neither is Hydreigon, I don't care if it resembles King Ghidorah. The only one that gets a pass is Baxcalibur which hopefully gets them in the future but I wouldn't be surprised with that lack of consistency in the games.
>Why Phanpy learns Water Gun?
Elephants spitting water with their trunks >Why Whiscash learns Spark?
something something fish living in the mud using electricity to hunt or some shit

Electric eels are close relatives of catfish.
>Wooper punches with its tail
the thing I don't like about this reasoning that you could probably argue that almost any pokemon should learn a punching move because it can "punch" with an appendage that's not a hand with enough mental gymnastics
anime has no respect for the games. hence >water is weak to fire!
and thunder armor. anything the trashnime does can simply be dismissed as non canon fanfic trash
>Physical water is not the same as Water-type energy.
That's how I like to think it is like too. It also helps with the issue with Fly as a move and flying as an ability.
His Gen 2 sprite looks extremely badass. I remember thinking he was a pretty scary monster when I was a little baby playing Crystal. Feraligatr and Steelix are the same way - awesome looking vintage sprites, a lot lamer in more recent art.
These are the only kaijumon according to my criteria here:

They're fricking radical dudes my guy.
They are surfers.
You think a little watter's gonna stop 'em?
why, especially Rhydon with a x4 weakness to water.
Kaiju's emerge from the ocean. It's a Japan thing.
But Nidoking is a Pokémanlet, not a Kaiju size.
Any Kaijumons are small and not really Kaiju size.
Og all 3 in OP's pic, Ttar's the tallest with only 6'7"
Pocket Monsters. Most Pokemon are small.
He's based on Baragon
Not exactly the biggest Kaiju
Even Tyranitar is just 6'7 which is still basically only a very tall person, far from the monster he is supposed to be
his is incorrect though?
it is however
Kys
oh frick it makes sense now

Which one doe Hydreigon lack? I'm sure he can learn Surf and Flamethrower.
Ice Beam and Thunderbolt + the stronger ones Blizzard and Thunder.
>This question again...
Come on, it's no longer a shock...
sometimes the waves just call to you, man
Why Phanpy learns Water Gun?
Why Whiscash learns Spark?
Wooper or Gastly Ice Punch?
Same reason why Infernale, Empoleon, And Greninja learn grass knot.
>feminfernape
hot...
Look up Veruca infernape.
It's easy to tie a knot out of a grass.
>Why Phanpy learns Water Gun?
Elephants spitting water with their trunks

Electric eels are close relatives of catfish.
Electric eels are actually knife fish. That being said there are actually a decent number of electric catfish.
There's also an electric stingray that Stunfisk is based on.
>Why Phanpy learns Water Gun?
moron
It doesn't learn any other water moves and can't touch water.
It's an egg move, and it's a reference to how elephants in real life spray water out of their trunks.
>can't touch water.
See
>It doesn't learn any other water moves
>>It doesn't learn any other water moves
And? What's your point?
Wooper punches with its tail. Gastly is a fricking ghost, it can probably will ghost hands not unlike Haunter's.
>Wooper punches with its tail
the thing I don't like about this reasoning that you could probably argue that almost any pokemon should learn a punching move because it can "punch" with an appendage that's not a hand with enough mental gymnastics
wooper makes sense considering he has no arms and learns to compensate by relying on his tail for everything
It's just cool.
>Rhydon weak to water
>let me just immerse my entire body into it
Just wanted to take a bath.
Physical water is not the same as Water-type energy.
How many times do I have to tell you autists?
Uh anon what's this then?
Onix is a lot more elemental than the others.
anime has no respect for the games. hence
>water is weak to fire!
and thunder armor. anything the trashnime does can simply be dismissed as non canon fanfic trash
The water didn't hurt Onix, Pikachu's water-enhanced thunderbolt did
This.
homosexuals are showing they never even watched the first few episodes.
>Physical water is not the same as Water-type energy.

>NOOOOOOO NOT THE SPRINKLER! IT BUUUUUURNS!!
I love that I immediately heard CD-I Ganon
Swimming or bathing is fine.
They can swim as long as they don't notice it's water. Like how Wil E. Coyote can keep walking on air until he notices he's in mid air
Kaiju privilege
Because movepools in gens 1-2 were limited.
>Rhydon looks badass
>Nidoking looks badass
>Tyranitar looks like a moronic toddler
What the frick
you take that back boy!
Tyranitar fricking up Latios on any occasion is my favorite meme.
kys

nah thats you
3d did a number on a lot of pokemon
tyranitar got done dirty
All fun and games until he rock slides your fat ass.
Because they are Kaijus
Love Kaiju mon.
Me, too. Nidoking is my favorite, & Tyranitar & Aggron usually find spots on my teams.
RIP Gyaon
Fat floats
Because Godzilla can swim.
you can swim in water, but you would probably die if you got repeatedly sprayed with a firehose
Pokemon fans need to watch and play other things
Because they are rad and hip unlike your favorite who probably can't nail these waves
To reduce the chances of not being able to progress in the games due to not having a pokemon that can learn surf
Kaijus coming out of water to frick things up are staple on movies
Depends on what version of Surf we're talking about.
If it's the field version (swimming in an existing body of water), it doesn't make much sense.
If it's the battle version (creating a tidal wave out of thin air), it's a logical as anything else they can do.
Hey, I heard people were surfing in this thread. Why didn't you invite me?
my surf bro in hoenn
Are these 4 + Kangaskhan the only 5 kaiju mons?
rhyperior
coalossal
duraludon
baxcalibur
fat construction workers and toilets aren't kaiju
These are the only kaijumon according to my criteria here:
>Mew the Origin of all Pokémon, and Arceus, the Literal God, are here.
Are Kaijumons the closest from the origin of the Pokémon world?
Mew learns every TM, and Arceus learns every TM that doesn't explicitly require hands.
yes, in every meaningful way, see
we recently got Baxcalibur added to the mix
Why it learns Surf?
Why didn't it learn surf?
