Thinking about getting a dualsense controller and replay some games on pc that support dualsense.
Is it worth it, or just a gimmick?

It's a gimmick but it's fun. Cod cold war was fun with the triggers and so was spiderman. The problem is you have to have a wired connection for all the fancy haptics

Can't you just put in a usb c to usb A cable in it?

Yes, I just like using Bluetooth personally cuz I play games on my TV connected to my PC. If you're using a wire anyway it's not a problem

i have to use a wired connection because something happened with my bluetooth drivers and they are completely fucked now. If I uninstall them, they immediately auto-reinstall. Fucking cancerous, windows 10 is worse than any virus i've ever seen. The only thing I think would solve it would be a complete windows reinstall and i don't want to do that.

Does the cable have to be 3.0 or is it fine with a 2.0?

If you're only playing on PC the Series X controller makes more sense because the best parts of Dualsense are restricted to ps5 only.
That being said if you get one beware, mine likes to tell my PC to output all audio through its fucking speaker so make sure you double check your output device

Death Stranding Director's cut supports all the fancy stuff on pc

True there are some games with support but I don't think it's worth buying one just to replay games with a slightly different control method
I think the SeX is the more practical choice

The price difference isn't that great, might as well get the one with more features

there's that dualsense x program that lets you program the controller to work for other games. or more realistically, download a profile from someone else who programmed the controller to have the meme triggers work in another game. but you can download a profile for something like forza horizen 5 and have them work as a result.

Do any of those Playstation giftcard generators actually work? Does anyone have a method of getting free giftcards here that isn't a scam?

Eh it's up to you but a DS4 costs almost the same amount unless buying used it's only supported in a handful of games but personally I wouldn't

I don't know how well the controller gimmicks work on PC, but the controller itself is perfectly good. It's worth getting just for that.
