Xbox 360 version is the only good version. Every port released afterwards is garbage and have a lot of issues. They also needlessly change shit, like making the game incredibly easy, removal of instances of fixed camera, and poorer sound quality.
you should be doing that before playing any game anyways because then you miss out on mods to improve the game but this game is hell to play anyways on any machine
the easiest solution is to just emulate but xenia doenst work well as far as I know and there's no linux support just yet

Its not that people love it for characters and story, but gameplay and graphics are bad. Bad graphics and gameplay is what makes it good really. Junky looks and gameplay is what makes this experience special.
