This game is bullshit, unfairly balanced, and encourages highrolling over getting good. Does the expansion make it more like the original?

No, the expansion exacerbates many issues and introduces more OP items
sounds like a skill issue to me
>recycler exists
>scrappers exist
[spoilers]>mom's credit card from DLC exists[/spoilers]
if items are your problem, solutions exist. if taking damage is your problem, git gud fgt.
Black person you can't even use spoilers correctly you dumb zoomer. you either highroll a Q and your next two bosses are a cakewalk or you get a bad beetle spawn and get raped by her guards if you have a less mobile character. c'mon son
Would the little yellow robot be a low mobility character?
>uses equipment as a damage crutch when recycler, card, chrysalis, egg, woodsprite, and elephant exist
someone sounds like a sorry little shitter
you suck at video games, gaylord, no amount of "u cn't eben spoilr corectly :-DDDD" can change that
>stand next to recyclers and scrappers item by item for 10 minutes
exhilarating gameplay
ur just bad at the game
Literally and unironically git gud. Also a rogue like wouldn't be fun if random chance and "balance" was the main focus you mouth breathing rat. kys OP.
>git gud
>you mean just play over and over until you catch a lucky break with items
yeah, zoomers detected. show me your RoR1 play time.
>gets told how to play better
>can only retaliate by calling better players zoomies
do oldgays really?
moron
cope. come back when you can get good runs, drizzlet.
Biggest gripe with the game is the maps are pretty boring and doesn't really evoke the mystery and exploration required to unlock secrets. Nothing is there to entice you to explore further as you might go to a dead zone where you just start getting DOT or fly out to just an empty part of the map. Sanctuary zone or whatever is particularly egregious. Feels like an Apex legends map. Definitely miss that from the first game.
I find it kind of dumb they leave the "secrets" to only one of the second stages(Abandoned Aqueduct) and the fourth stages.
Like I thought it was pretty neat how in my second run I stumbled almost immediately on N'khwhatsitsname(the horn red item that spawns projectiles on sprinting) and thought "wow every level must have some secret shit like like RoR1 too, except it's barely there beyond the robot/fuel cell.
Even for the fourth level it's really boring just having golden chests, especially when in one stage it's stuck in only one location while in the other there are four possible locations.
>he doesn't know about half of stages having guaranteed newt altars OoB
>half
anon there's like 3
one on RPD, one on Scorched Acres and one on the desert map
I know about those but newt altars/blue portals aren't really special.
>the most powerful run savers in the game aren't anything special
>most powerful run saver
anon that's not 3d printers and scrappers
>get to choose any lunar item basically for free
>get early access to an uncommon and legendary soup
>get to CHOOSE YOUR NEXT LEVEL, including a one-time secret level that gives an entire stage's worth of extra items
sounds pretty good to me, man
stop responding to the bait morons
If you're aiming to just loop endlessly the game requires a ton of skill. Knowing when to just rush the level and what items to take when you see a vending machine is skill.
And sometimes you just find a fricking clover and win.
>Knowing when to just rush the level
literally never
full loot every time
Time is difficulty. Are the items you might find better than making every following level slightly easier?
>Are the items you might find better than making every following level slightly easier?
yes
full looting is always the answer
This is precisely the reason why Captain is the best character in the game by a distance. Using double hack means you basically start each stage with a chunk of free money.
>Using double hack means you basically start each stage with a chunk of free money.
Which is useful for exactly 2 stages...
no it's useful for the entire game. especially for legendary chests
>which is useful for exactly 2 entire loops
ftfy
After a couple loops the character you're playing becomes entirely irrelevant as you turn into a walking proc chain of death. My best runs have always been Captain because of the insane start.
Why haven't they still fixed Mithrix's stage? The entire thing is such a huge waste of time full of filler garbage.
