Zoomers don't play Zelda or any retro game whatsoever. I'm honestly tired of you people fighting with imaginary zoomers in your head >you like this retro game? you are a zoomer!
They literally haven't played anything that came out before like 2010. No no seriously stop for a moment and imagine a fucking zoomer playing a GBA game, this even sounds funny
The point is that you were 1) at least someone cognizant of the world around you and 2) at most taking your first steps into independent adult life at the turn of the millennium

Idk what bussin even means no cap.
It doesn’t sound very crescent fresh.
Switch is owned either by literal children (they technically are zoomers too I guess) or 25+ year olds. Actual zoomers, the ones from various memes about TikTok and shit, play Fortnite and CoD either on their PS5s or pink/purple neon lights gaming PCs. Even popular modern games like God of War/TLOU are mainly played by millennials, I've come to the conclusion that zoomers simply don't care about single player experiences, be it retro or not
>by literal children (they technically are zoomers too I guess)
The youngest zoomers are entering their preteens; the literal children are generation alpha.

no they aren't
the membership of each magical generational tribe that certain people can't shut up about is variable

Whatever; I never bought into the boomer/doomer/coomer/zoomer meme when it was getting popular in 2013-2015. I’m just basing shit off the internet and reminding you retards that a new generation will be shitposting here soon.
>ask a zoomer what his favorite 2d zelda is and there's a 95% chance he'll say minish cap >uhh the people I HATE like this game so it's bad!
Mean you people are so sad.
This, the 2d Zelda’s are legit as you can get for as many of them there are through the generations. I’d say that 3d ds zelda is the lowest point with spirit tracks and that’s even better than most Zelda clones. I think I might binge all the Zelda’s now… is mm better on 3ds or n64 Only Zelda besides botw I haven’t played?
N64 of course. It's less tedious to get all the masks in the 3DS version and there are other QoL improvements but it has some glaring flaws >3d ds zelda is the lowest point with spirit tracks
I liked it more than Phantom Hourglass but I don't think they are bad games

nta, but I've been planning on playing OoT and MM for the first real time (I started them multiple times as a kid, but never finished them). how are the Gamecube versions from the Collector's Edition disc?
Master Quest is great but the GC version of MM will freeze and send you back you the beginning if the cycle, extremely frustrating and resulted in me never finishing the game to this day.
If you are playing on the Wii then download the Virtual Console version of MM. OoT on the Gamecube is not only fine it's also amazing with the GC controller aside from fucked up bow and hookshot aiming
good to know. I'm going to play them on my WiiU, so I'll do OoT on the Collector's Edition and MM on Virtual Console

Disagree. Unless your an autist and only play retro games play the 3DS version of both. You can even add mods that fix some autism points. The QOL and (yes) enhanced graphics make them much better versions.
I'll...have to agree with the OP this once.
While not bad, well it's a 2d zelda with dungeons and all, it was a letdown. The sprites are kino, but that's about it. However, I went to it after playing oracles and thus with high expectations. Oracles have a navigateable overworld that's interesting even in the postgame to an extent, and postgame is of course good aswell. It has endless things to find. It competes with DX as best game of all time, having fixed the pop-up message when you stumble into a rock without glove. I didn't even want to replay minish ever, not even once to see some dungeon again. It's linear, no postgame. You finish and that's it. It is meh, basically. Definitely inferior to many a 2d zelda, for instance alttp dungeons felt kino and the gimmick of the cap specially pales in comparison to the dark world. It's the most mid zelda of all time...it's just fun. It's not...spectacular fun! That's simply unbecoming for its time.
>navigateable
It's navigable. I'm feeling nice and that's not a common word but use autocorrect or a different word if you don't know the correct one. This board will skin you alive calling you ESL and your point will be lost.
This is what I remembered about it but I've had a few people tell me I'm wrong about it and that it's the best 2D zelda. It's been years since I played it so I was thinking of trying it again
I was talking to a zoomer who was taking Friday and Monday off work to play TOTK and he said his favourite Zelda game was The Minish Cap. I asked why and he said it was comfy. I told him the series peaked with its first game. He pointed out that BOTW had enemies from LoZ, like Lynel. However, in his defence we both agreed that Link's Awakening is a very good game.
Optional content aside, the Kinstone pieces dragged the game down immensely, which a LOT of people seem to either forget or ignore. Imagine having to grind for puzzle pieces to progress the story and no list to keep track of who needs what piece. Game's got amazing sprite work, charming littles homages to previous games and some really great music, but fuck the Kinstones just make the whole game a chore to get through.
People treat the DS entries like Four Swords/Tri Force Heroes, sadly no one gives a shit about them
PHG and ST were utterly forgettable imo. The stylus gimmick wares out it's welcome quickly as well as annoying to use to control Link and dungeons are almost as painfully bland as ALttP's.
I thought Phantom Hourglass was fine. I enjoyed it I guess. There's no reason to hate on them at the very least unless you have an addiction to outrage.
Spite for you. It was my 2nd favorite but now I'm goiglng to say it's number 1 in hopes you or someone like you is in the thread. Then you'll seethe like a useless cunt and make another low quality post.
It'll be good times.
>This game is far worse
It's not. I like the oracle games more but better games existing doesn't make every other game dogshit and worthless. I hate this mentality that seems so common on this crappy site.
This game is great, fuck off. Incredible spritework, great music, best town that is actually big enough to be a believable town, great vlilain that isn't just Ganon again. Solid dungeons too.
I wouldn’t say it’s the worst or best Zelda game, but it was certainly enjoyable to play. I was only 15 when it came out and that and Twilight Princess were my final Zelda games to play until BotW.
elaborate

I'm talking about the ones who do, obviously. Mid to late millennials count as zoomers, btw.
>Mid to late millennials count as zoomers
Retard.
OP's literally repeating shitposts from the other thread. Pathetic.
Nah he's right. Gamecube and GBA are cringe and not retro.
>cringe
Spotted the zoomer
N64 is gay dude
>Mid to late millennials count as zoomers, btw.
I salute you for having the balls to just be objectively wrong like this. Incredibly based
What years are "mid to late millenials" for you? Every single source has a different starting point.
87 to 94
The point is that you were 1) at least someone cognizant of the world around you and 2) at most taking your first steps into independent adult life at the turn of the millennium

I am the king of zoomers
95% of the switch library is Ganker games retard.

mine is albw

Yeah its too easy and short and objectively its shit but you do realize most of the gays who play zelda never finish the games right?
Probably a lot of peoples first 2d Zelda.
recency bias
>Ganker dislikes The Minish Cap now
Embarrassing.
Better than the NES zelda's, worse than the SNES
Embarrassing
I just fucking hate duplicate threads. The definition of soulless bot shit
>Gankerirgin thread
Scrammo
Aesthetically pleasing. Only real issue I had was it being too short and the fucking voice clips.
so what's the best 2D zelda then?
LTTP
The one that you like the most. Literally all of them are good, even 2

Link's Awakening
Links Awakening DX on the Gameboy SD has a special place in my heart.
It's not perfect but it's pretty fucking good.
I'll...have to agree with the OP this once.

I agree with him Minish Cap may not be the best, but is just maximum comfyness
zoomers whom it was first zelda game on their zoomerboys advance
Zelda fucking sucks. Dumbshit crappy 'puzzer' So does Mario for the last 20 years. About time someone said it.
It plays just like every Zelda game
Maybe you just grew up OP
I miss Vaati
Wouldn't this be the one beloved by Zoomers? I barely see anyone talk about these games
People treat the DS entries like Four Swords/Tri Force Heroes, sadly no one gives a shit about them
I'm pretty sure only die hard Zelda fans care about it. I remember not really liking Spirit Tracks though from the 2 games that were released
>sadly no one gives a shit about them
Is that why it outsold Wind Waker?
No, it's because DS sales outnumber those of the gamecube nearly 8 to 1.
Optional content aside, the Kinstone pieces dragged the game down immensely, which a LOT of people seem to either forget or ignore. Imagine having to grind for puzzle pieces to progress the story and no list to keep track of who needs what piece. Kinstones are completely optional.
I thought Phantom Hourglass was fine. I enjoyed it I guess. There's no reason to hate on them at the very least unless you have an addiction to outrage.
Its not. Most people can't stand zelda.
It's one of the lesser talked about Zeldas (because it's shit) so fags cling onto it for cool points.
What did it even do that was cool?
Honey I shrinked the kids is not cool
giantess shit is hot as fuck
Spite for you. It was my 2nd favorite but now I'm goiglng to say it's number 1 in hopes you or someone like you is in the thread. Then you'll seethe like a useless cunt and make another low quality post.

Oracle of Ages is the best portable Zelda next to Link Between Worlds
>This game is far worse
It's not. I like the oracle games more but better games existing doesn't make every other game dogshit and worthless. I hate this mentality that seems so common on this crappy site.
>why is it so beloved?
Loaded question. You have failed to establish your assert; do not ask questions about it until you have done so.
If you can't prove your claims, don't make a thread.
This game is great, fuck off. Incredible spritework, great music, best town that is actually big enough to be a believable town, great vlilain that isn't just Ganon again. Solid dungeons too.
It's almost like comparing two good games against each other doesn't automatically make one bad.
it looks pretty
I wouldn’t say it’s the worst or best Zelda game, but it was certainly enjoyable to play. I was only 15 when it came out and that and Twilight Princess were my final Zelda games to play until BotW.
