Zoomers don't play Zelda or any retro game whatsoever. I'm honestly tired of you people fighting with imaginary zoomers in your head
        >you like this retro game? you are a zoomer!
They literally haven't played anything that came out before like 2010. No no seriously stop for a moment and imagine a fricking zoomer playing a GBA game, this even sounds funny

Switch is owned either by literal children (they technically are zoomers too I guess) or 25+ year olds. Actual zoomers, the ones from various memes about TikTok and shit, play Fortnite and CoD either on their PS5s or pink/purple neon lights gaming PCs. Even popular modern games like God of War/TLOU are mainly played by millennials, I've come to the conclusion that zoomers simply don't care about single player experiences, be it retro or not

This, the 2d Zelda’s are legit as you can get for as many of them there are through the generations. I’d say that 3d ds zelda is the lowest point with spirit tracks and that’s even better than most Zelda clones. I think I might binge all the Zelda’s now… is mm better on 3ds or N64 Only Zelda besides botw I haven’t played?

N64 of course. It's less tedious to get all the masks in the 3DS version and there are other QoL improvements but it has some glaring flaws

nta, but I've been planning on playing OoT and MM for the first real time (I started them multiple times as a kid, but never finished them). how are the Gamecube versions from the Collector's Edition disc?

            Anonymous

Master Quest is great but the GC version of MM will freeze and send you back you the beginning if the cycle, extremely frustrating and resulted in me never finishing the game to this day.

              Anonymous

If you are playing on the Wii then download the Virtual Console version of MM. OoT on the Gamecube is not only fine it's also amazing with the GC controller aside from fricked up bow and hookshot aiming

good to know. I'm going to play them on my WiiU, so I'll do OoT on the Collector's Edition and MM on Virtual Console

Disagree. Unless your an autist and only play retro games play the 3DS version of both. You can even add mods that fix some autism points. The QOL and (yes) enhanced graphics make them much better versions.

I'll...have to agree with the OP this once.
While not bad, well it's a 2d zelda with dungeons and all, it was a letdown. The sprites are kino, but that's about it. However, I went to it after playing oracles and thus with high expectations. Oracles have a navigateable overworld that's interesting even in the postgame to an extent, and postgame is of course good aswell. It has endless things to find. It competes with DX as best game of all time, having fixed the pop-up message when you stumble into a rock without glove. I didn't even want to replay minish ever, not even once to see some dungeon again. It's linear, no postgame. You finish and that's it. It is meh, basically. Definitely inferior to many a 2d zelda, for instance alttp dungeons felt kino and the gimmick of the cap specially pales in comparison to the dark world. It's the most mid zelda of all time...it's just fun. It's not...spectacular fun! That's simply unbecoming for its time.

      Anonymous

      >navigateable
It's navigable. I'm feeling nice and that's not a common word but use autocorrect or a different word if you don't know the correct one. This board will skin you alive calling you ESL and your point will be lost.

This is what I remembered about it but I've had a few people tell me I'm wrong about it and that it's the best 2D zelda. It's been years since I played it so I was thinking of trying it again

I was talking to a zoomer who was taking Friday and Monday off work to play TOTK and he said his favourite Zelda game was The Minish Cap. I asked why and he said it was comfy. I told him the series peaked with its first game. He pointed out that BOTW had enemies from LoZ, like Lynel. However, in his defence we both agreed that Link's Awakening is a very good game.

Optional content aside, the Kinstone pieces dragged the game down immensely, which a LOT of people seem to either forget or ignore. Imagine having to grind for puzzle pieces to progress the story and no list to keep track of who needs what piece. Game's got amazing sprite work, charming littles homages to previous games and some really great music, but frick the Kinstones just make the whole game a chore to get through.

People treat the DS entries like Four Swords/Tri Force Heroes, sadly no one gives a shit about them

PHG and ST were utterly forgettable imo. The stylus gimmick wares out it's welcome quickly as well as annoying to use to control Link and dungeons are almost as painfully bland as ALttP's.

I wouldn’t say it’s the worst or best Zelda game, but it was certainly enjoyable to play. I was only 15 when it came out and that and Twilight Princess were my final Zelda games to play until BotW.
