Yeah, I never understood why people suck this game's wiener so much. The level design is shit and the new enemies and weapons are crammed into such a short game that none of them get any chance to shine. I recently played Field Intensity and that felt like what OpFor should have been.
As is every other game made by known scammers who commit false advertising and fraud.
Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.
There is no valid way for you to claim that. Blue Shift is too short. Blue Shift is too easy. Blue Shift does nothing remarkable. It's the worst official addon and only remembered because of the HD models it added (which are all soulless).
It has a lot of controversy, but I liked Race X. Their presence provides a sense of logicality to the canon.
Xen is a border world, a kind of in-between space for dimensions, a combination "outskirts" and "hub" of sorts. The resonance cascade basically tore a massive hole in the thin membrane between our universe and Xen, which caused a pouring-in of wildlife and got the attention of the eldritch abomination hiding inside that space. It was also loud enough to get the attention of the Combine, who had access to Xen. It stands to reason it should get the attention of other things too, shouldn't it? Race X is an early comer of these "others". It just so happened that they were a particularly weak contender.
It adds a depth and makes good on the "massive ocean of disconnected universes" that Valve never really touches on meaningfully. Are they a good execution of the idea? Well.... I don't think so, no. Most of their designs are dogshit and they clearly exist just so gearbox didn't have to touch Valve's aliens that much. It could have been done much better. But as a seasoning to the setting, I'm glad somebody did something to fill that gap (even if it's a grey area of canon.)
Oh also the HD weapon models fricking suck. The machine gun works and feels great as an SMG. As an assault rifle it feels like a weak piece of shit. It might help if the models weren't so fricking ugly. First thing I do when I reinstall Half-Life is disable gearbox's shitty models.
haha yea.. frick him in the ass
get barnacled, idiot
saging your trash thread
t. randy b***hford
my ass is heavy
there is nothing wrong with fricking ass.
I find your homophobic attitude highly problematic.
this game really takes a fricking nosedive after the nuke
I love HL1 but I legitimately do not enjoy Opposing Force or Blue Shift very much at all

Field Intensity is fantastic. The squad mechanics were completely underused in Opposing Force.
I understand about Blue Shift, but Opposing Force? What did you not enjoy about it?
WHAT WERE THEY THIIIIINKIIIIIIIINNN

opfor was gearbox though?!?!?!
Gearbox's first and only good game. My ass is heavy.
>introduces final boss in the room right before it
I. WILL. KICK. YOUR. ASS.
Based and true. OpFor fricking blows. New weapons are cool but the encounters and level design are classic gearbox dogshit.
blue shift is unironically better, even though it's basically just a map pack
OP gunning for worst post of the day this early huh?
Blue shift is better

Still better than HL2
it is unironically the best deathmatch that was ever made
