        inference (using a model) doesn't take a lot of bit precision to be useful.
        training (creating a model) on the other hand does.
        also, there is a gap of 1 between 2 and 3. you can't encode 2.5.

    This is bullshit because now the bottleneck is the gpu memory, and especially the I/o when reading from disk.
    We got some H100 at work and they the gpu usage is like 10%. They are just waiting for data.
    Until we can get nodes with 1TB of ram, the H100 and anything more advanced are useless.
