Figure it out yourself, homosexual
Wolves hunt in pack, overleveled bandits warriors, mastercrafted gears and warrior being the worst class.
Kino, walking, and an over all fun journey.
Also watch out wolves hunt in packs
The game is great, unique and there is nothing like it at all out there, which is why you still have dedicated threads and people playing it. But it doesn't make it easy on new players.
At least get to the city first.
Don't obsess over stats, switch classes often.
Avoid anything guardian on pawns, don't spam commands unless you really know what they are doing.
You can kick the oxen to make him go faster.
Do the witchwood quest before going down the pawn guild. If the bandits on the way prove to be too strong, you can come back at night, run past them or get good.
Mage is for pawns, but there is nothing wrong with starting as one.
Warrior is great, don't listen to the anti-fun homosexuals.
Warrior is great for charge attacks but god luck charging attacks with a troll aggroing you with wrestle jump kicks
You don't just randomly start charging. The tool tips for the skills are rarely helpful, but on the arc it says it needs support from the pawns. You charge the arc when the enemy is knocked down, sleeping, staggered or momentarily held in place by other pawns via their skills and spells. You can do that yourself too even as warrior (played him in solo hardmode) because staggering and knock down is his actual strength.
But really, someone just charging the arc and smashing it on some cyclopes feet will hardly do damage and then dismiss this vocation entirely.
bro just jump and slash
Jump light attacks and the heavy is the best DPS of warrior. Every warrior should also get the eminence bonus from strider. If you're on normal Iraklis is one of the best weapon of the class and easy to get and gold forge for BBI
Don't talk to fournival too many times, I thought it was just a meme then it happened to me.
Put the ring in your waifu arisen
A shitload of walking.
>he didn't put port crystals in important spots
lol moron
A disappointing mediocre game then a refund.
Strider best class, use portcrystals to great effect, cycle out your pawns when you outlevel them by 2 levels or more
They're masterworks all, can't go wrong!

Makes greatsword fun(and OP unless he nerfed some things since I played with mod which is likely since its on 4.03 and I played with 2.0)
naw it's still OP as frick but worth checking out when you get bored of the game
I started playing recently but there are so many crafting materials.
Which ones are worth picking up to craft health potions
All of them except bricks and stones, or simply harvesting tools.
You only really need to craft shit every 10 hours or so, although some healing items are worth it more often than that.
live and die by bottled spring water
1. Hard mode is easy mode. Sure you can be one shot by goblins on your first minute but enemies drop mountains of gold that it quickly pay for itself in terms of armor and resources. If you ever get stuck you can start a new game but keep all of your resources in a weird NG+-like way and play the rest of the game on normal but it very unlikely you will get stuck as the richest man on the planet a hour in.
2. Min-maxing is possible and you may see players talk about it but it is pointless with the expansion. If your game have the word "Dark Arisen" somewhere then you have the expansion version of the game. You can go to the expansion by talking to a chick on the port of the first village. It is meant to be an endgame area but nothing stopping you from going early and getting endgame gear at level 1 if you are skilled enough. In fact it is a common tactic. The endgame gear is exactly why you don't need to min-max as like 60% if not more of your stats will be based on the gear and not leveling.
3. Xbox version of the game have Berserk themed armor that due to licensing was removed from the PC version. The armor is still "on disk" and simply need to be made accessible as intended. Feel free to use a mod to do exactly such. Just because due to licensing the devs can't just give it to the players doesn't mean it is still part of the intended game. The only mod that is basically fully acceptable in a non-modded playthrough. If you love mods though there nude mods to go with your waifu pawn.
4. The game get better once at the main city, you can kick the Ox but don't abuse it as doing it too much will stun it.
5. Try the sorcerer to feel like a true wizard. Mage are the healer/buffers but aren't as flashy. If you try the sorcerer and hate the game then fair but for most people the sorcerer is the turning point for them. Ideally you play a bit of everything though, the basic classes are meant to be basic. You need to unlock the three other advance classes
>Hard mode is easy mode
Then normal mode is baby mode. Past a certain point in the game gold is not a problem anymore
Are you sure? Upgrading BBI equipment is expensive as frick.
I think what that fude means is that hard mode balancing was a complete after thought and kind of a frick up. Shit drops crazy exp so you might struggle at first but end up leveling fast as shit but there is also the gold drops which are insane on hard mode. Standard goblins frequently drop 10k bags of gold making money a complete non issue I'm hard mode.
Can I bounce between hard mode and normal mode or do I start at the very beginning with all my kept gear and levels?
You start the beginning if you change difficulty
Nah, hard mode is hard mode. Millions of gold doesn't mean shit if you can't buy the weapons/armor and can't buy the mats for expensive upgrades. It's especially not easy mode if you're a sorcerer or warrior because of the stagger resistance enemies get in hard mode and sorcerer will be getting oneshotted for a long, long, long time even ahainst enemies you out gear and out level.
Turn back when you reach this part, you've been warned.
STUPID HUMAN
FOUND YOU!
Finding out that this game is from the zoomer era of vidya and the people who praise games from this period have really shitty taste.
dont be afraid of going easy mode
dont stress yourself out min-maxing over stats. play the vocation that you genuinely enjoy (except mage)
farm a drake, wyvern and wyrm tear if you want to go farming wakestones during post-game
increases chances of getting wakestones in the everfall
Alternatively, get good at killing the offline Ur-Dragon in the postgame/everfall and you'll be raking in wakestones like candy.
Strider is objectively the most powerful class in every situation but only after you get proper skills and equipment for it
I say this as a Mystic Knight
I guess I've been filtered by this game twice now. It doesn't seem to do anything great to me I played it once in 2017 for about 5 hours then dropped it then played it again this year for about 17 hours and dropped it again. What gives?
