He cute.
Fuck, why does this thing make so much sense?
because they recognize the perfection of sandshrews
Early on it was clearly a Rhydon

THESE, gen 1 of course, are pokemon at their most abstract and ideal
how come charmander AND charizard got their own sprites in gen 2?
CHARIZARD privilege
>Bulbasaur line gets their own unique sprite
>Squirtle line gets their own unique sprite
>Charmander line gets their own unique sprite, but Charizard drops it in favor of the generic “dragon” sprite shared with Dragonite and Kingdra
Dragonite gets that too. I'm curious though is it even possible to get Charizard in Gen 2?
Yes, you could trade Pokemon between 1st and 2nd gen games.
Those first gen pokemon icons are the realm of forms that all other pokemon emanate from
Cubone
Do you think substitute is someone's favorite pokemon?
No. But maybe someone out there is very infatuated by its existence
Substitube, probably. He's a gen-II ROM hack guy that used it as the impetus for one of his Pokémon lines
>Inb4 muh fakemon, muh romhax
I like his taste in Pokémon design
Yeah, his channel is comfy
But bulbasaur is the most pokemon looking pokemon
I always thought Slowbro was the most pokemon looking pokemon.
Hrs up there
I can't imagine an example existing in at least the last five gens
What even defines a pokemon-looking pokemon?
To me the best examples tend to be very distinctly wild monsters (not necessarily aggressive), and have a few traits from many different "ideas".
>What even defines a pokemon-looking pokemon?
I don't know, it's just how Sugimori, I think, referred to the bulbasaur line
Sex with the substitute doll!
Anon no...
