i remember renting it and hating it but still beating it because it was Spongebob
>tfw when I picked up this spongebob game as a kid instead of Battle for Bikini Bottom
I missed out on the only good Spongebob game for this trash.
I'm not entirely sure if I've played this or not.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (PS2/GameCube/Xbox) and Employee of the Month (on PC) are good in my opinion.
Employee of the Month is one of my all time favourite PC games.
>The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (PS2/GameCube/Xbox)
I've played only GBA version and it was pretty okay, but obviously I had lower standarts back then
The PS2/GC/XB version of the Movie game is as good as BFBB in my opinion. The PC version is also nice, but to a lesser extent.
I played it on gba as a kid. I remember it having some annoying levels but overall I was enjoying it. But I'm not gonna replay it lmao. I heard the PS2/GC(?) version was also pretty shit.
Okay but who asked?
I did
Why is it boring? Oh, you won't give your 2 cents and I have to look up a review to figure out why it's boring. So if it sucks and you have nothing to ask or tell, then why make a thread about it? Do you think you're getting web cred by posting low quality threads that only consist of "game sux lol frick" on an anonymous imageboard? OP you are the biggest homosexual of all time.
This post has massive wienersucking energy.
samegay
you've sucked 37 dicks?
in a row?!
Amen. I also hate moronic Ganker-style bait threads
not retro but i bet it's less boring than space camp on wii
worst frickin game i ever played and i knew it even as a dumb kid that it was so lame, despite loving space i don't love shitty minigames
Never played Battle for Bikini Bottom but I noticed the remake hype and got it day 1 and I was impressed by how fun it was
Minigames collections were the Wii's bane. Only one I really liked was Bomberman Land, and the janky "flick to jump" ones were all kept for the end!
>not retro
Are you still coping from the rule changes 2 years ago?
did you read my post? i was the one talkin about somethin not retro, i don't like those gays either
spongebob sux
I really don't know what you were expecting from a PS2 kids TV show tie in game
Something good like the other PS2 era SpongeBob games
>but the other games
Are also actually, genuinely boring. Either nostalgia or your critical mind hasn't developed yet.
nta but ive played Battle for bikini bottom, the movie game, and revenge of the flying dutchman through to the end. Revenge of the flying dutchman was the only one that felt like i was just beating it out of obligation, the others were at least engaging or above the par when it came to licensed games, flying dutchman felt like they rushed the game out in a couple of months
The fact that you even play games 'to the end' implies you have some sort of compulsion towards completion; which is diametrically opposed to what I consider being of critical mind. Finishing something implies a mindset of it's a job, rather than appreciating art and being able to critically compare it to other things you could be doing instead. As video games are an activity; I approach it with the mindset of an activity.
It's definitely a licensed cartoon platformer. The only good Spongebob one is Battle for Bikini Bottom but even then it's still a pretty generic collect-a-thon.
The Movie game on PS2 and GC was also pretty good actually.
The movie game was made by the same devs wasn't it? It's fine, but it's basically just Battle but slightly worse.
I like this over Battle for Bikini Bottom honestly. The levels are way less cryptic and confusing. I've gone back to old saves for BfBB and have had no fricking clue what direction I was headed or what needed to still be done because the levels are such a clusterfrick.
This game was actually produced by a company that was on the verge of bankruptcy. No joke
Guys, just make /SBZ/ - Spongebob Zoomer general so we can keep this shit contained. It’s mucking up the board.
play supersponge instead
If I remember correctly, the PS2 version had a nasty habit of crashing at a certain point in the game
Hey. Hey Anon. Hey. Guess what.
I never see anyone mention this one, I used to play it all the time
This one might be my very first gaming memory. i should replay it.
This whole game has a weird, unnerving feeling to it. Like Wet Dry World: the game
>weird, unnerving feeling to it
I know what you mean and Ive seen other people say the same thing. I think it has to do with the glitchiness of it and how its notorious for freezing
Possibly also because of how cryptic it was.
I remember wandering around for ages wondering what the frick I was supposed to be doing. New missions would seemingly randomly appear in earlier stages and I remember the map design hiding a lot of mandatory areas.
Also I had the PS2 version with the fricking horrible loading times which just exacerbated things.
>Like Wet Dry World: the game
Fitting
Spengborb
agreed. grew up with bfbb and crtkk and they blow this shit out of the water
i saw it at gamestop as a kid but never picked it up and im glad i did cause its just so clunky, I picked it up years later and got bored of it quickly and its been sitting on my shelf for years now based op
