When Guybrush from Monkey Island says "grog me", how is it different from "glass him"? Either both mean "hit me/him in the face with a bottle of grog/glass" or "give me/him a bottle of grog/glass".
The only third option is that the language is too simple or just primitive and doesn't have required particles or inflection that other languages use to prevent this kind of ambiguities.
This could never happen in two other languages I know. So, yes, it's not a skill issue, it's a bug, but I don't think this software is ever getting a patch, only DLCs with new pronouns.
