Every NPC basically acted like a modern default nice-liberal doing a cowboy impression. Which is especially jarring, because in the first game there's a lot more racial and class tension beyond Dutch opining about how much he hates the government and rich people. I know outside of the in-game universe, it's because society became substantially more gay and retarded after a certain group lost their shit over the orange man in 2016. But in-universe, it's nonsensical.

this moviegame is a disgusting piece of iredeemable trash that has not even 1 fun mission in the entire game anybody would ever like to replay because its a waste of fucking time.

I started it recently and after struggling with the lethargic controls (and giving up on the gamepad) I'm enjoying it.
It's not hard at all though, even without dead eye.
Also, it's selective commitment to realism is very annoying. Having to always take the weapons from your horse gets old fast.
The game also suffers from the exaggerated, unfocused abundant content that doesn't really add anything like so many wide open sandboxes. Did we really need 4 variations of five finger fillet?
Some things are overcomplicated just for sake of overcomplication. The hunting game often times ends up too frustrating because of the requirements to take a perfect pelt/carcass. The small game arrow is a good example. You can't buy it, you have to craft it one by one in a campfire, with materials you cam only take by killing dozens of birds; it's dedicated to very small animals, the agile and quick types that are hard to target with a bow
The menus and UI are goddawful. It's ridiculous that you can only save 4 outfits
In general, it's a worse game than it's predecessor, for although it boasts many more features, it seems unfocused as what it wants to be as a game
The only way I was able to enjoy it was ignoring the story and just going out in the woods hunting, looking for rare animals and perfect pelts. By hunting game standards it isn't particularly good but the graphics are fantastic and I still got a decent bit of enjoyment out of it. That they locked off Mexico until the final quarter of the game was retarded, I never even made it that far in the story, instead just modding it so that I could visit Mexico as Arthur.
The story is pure AIDS, Arthur is a gay, hard to believe the potential that Rockstar threw away on this game.

A quieter and slightly more charming version of him should've been the player character. They then should have scrapped every other character along with every woman, gay and minority on the writing team before starting over from scratch.
They should have taken heavy inspiration from Blood Meridian.
They could have then made new games using the same basic game system but in various settings, ancient Greece, Aztec etc.
