There's no level design. I don't know why so many devs don't like to just have fun and get creative with levels.
It's like the LiP devs only think of Bloodborne / Dark Souls as "le edgy difficult game git gud XD." I think they miss the point when they ignore the exploration aspect of those games.

2023 had a lot of okay games. Not enough masterpieces to call it a good year. There hasn't been a good year since 2017.
