>voices are just normal voices but pitched up
I don't understand how can anyone stand this shit. You couldn't make a more unnatural and annoying e-boi voice if you tried.
There we go.
Name the mmo where i can pick up smaller enemies and toss them. Where i can climb big enemies with multiple body parts that react different to knockdown. Where i can knock enemies flat on their face or on their backs. Where i can cut tails, break horns or burn wings. Where i can parry, block, i-frame or use good positioning to nullify attacks. Even just those most mmos fail to do but by all means tell me the mmo i would like.
You were fooled by Ganker the game is shit and I will explain why: >No indication of where roads lead >No hint to what enemies are weak to >No hint of when enemies are alone or in groups >No warning to avoid status effects >No clue to which items are masterworks
The combat in this game feels so fucking good. I ran warrior and swinging a huge sword felt amazing, especially coming off Skyrim where I had a similar build but it felt like my hammer was hitting fucking nothing. I tell people all the time this game is like Skyrim, but fucking good
Don’t like it. Combat is okay, but I had no fun doing fetch quests or running around the world. A lot of people like it so I just chalk it up to not being for me
No one likes the fetch quests, they're just things where you accept all of them and automatically finish
And yeah the world suffers from lack of enemy variety. It's great to fight a chimera but not another 5 gobbos
You mean the resistance where you do 1 damage until you get more than their damage reduction? It's a weird implementation but I like it cause you quickly feel more powerful once you outdamage it
If you mean physical armor, hit it until it falls off
I don’t know what you call the mechanic, but seeing bandits take everything my pawn and I threw at it only to one shot me with a single sword slash was very annoying.
I completed it once and Im fighting through BBI rn. Not gonna stick for the MMO tier farming afterwards, just used cheatengine to give myself money and RC rather than just wait for the best weapon to drop.
Great character creator, sountrack's good, Warrior is great as Guts simulator but it sucks it has no range and only 3 skills when the other vocations get 6. Enjoying assassin though it sucks I have to use force edge to get to do the obscene damage of other vocations but die in 1 hit if I get slapped despite having like 2.6k health.
Sorcerer and mage are boring as shit you just get fancy animations and have to wait a ton of time to cast even with wyrmking ring and cocasting. Mystic Knight's boring as well since you have to spend time buffing before you actually fight and even then your best option is great cannon. I'm also not seeing the hype behind Magick Archer. Rest of the vocations are good and yelllow ones are the best. Strider>Assassin>Ranger>Fighter>Warrior>everything else
The crafting system's an overcomplicated piece of ass and the whole game could use like 3 less menus.
i always feel dragons dogma fans exagerate the ever living fuck of how complex or exceptional the combat is
ive played several times as many different classes and messed with the most autistic strats. in practice most of the combat is quite shallow and simple, and that becomes even moreso the case when you play for efficiency over sheer style (ignoring periapts because that shit removes the entire game from the game)
the act of climbing enemies is nowhere as involved and cool as these gays say it is, in practice it usually plays in a very shallow manner. like yeah ill effortlessly latch into this enemy and M1M1M1M1 at his weakpoint. there are few occasions of this mechanic being actually interesting, something simple like "lets grab this giant's legs and push it so he falls!" would be 100x more interesting than the average shit i do. I initially assumed it was just me having a hard time not to be lame.. Until i watched other people's gameplay and realised they do the exact same shit, because theres hardly anything more interesting to do.
In 90% of fights, the ability to destroy wings, horns and whatever plays out in an extremely shallow and bland manner, often which, something that will generally happen even when im ignoring the mechanic.[
Most of the skills build up towards very simple, basic gameplay. Curatives are utterly braindead.
Pawns can barely do any proper significant strategizing, you can barely command them effectively for combat and make proper formations... Except theres no need for it, because the enemies are also utterly braindead and simple.
Tossing enemies is cool novelty, though it typically wears out really fast, and has almost no good application for the actual challenging parts
all in all, a lot of cool mechanics, but they used them to make a game that overall doesnt play in a particulary special manner, and has zero challenge other than the garbage defense system making you deal 0 damage when underleveled.
once, yeah. I kinda sped through and burned out just before the finish line, so I thought I'd start from scratch and give it another fair shake. I also think I missed some stuff because I never tried to raise anyone's affinity or do that many escort missions
Do the idol quest for Caxton and you can get better armor for fighters/warriors.
You'll want to get favored by Fournival, because at some point you can get a quest from him to lead his daughter around Gran Soren. If she's pleased with you you get the gold idol which gets unlocks the best shop items
There's some guides for it all if u need em
If DD2 is even half as good as I expect it to be and it gets a Dark Arisen equivalent it'll be GOTYAY. It's fucking RE engine too imagine the coom mods oh my GOD
Beaten it 8 times, the best unfinished game I've ever played. Itsuno is one talented motherfucker, whatever issues his games have, combat is never one of them (excluding dmc2), dmc4 was gutted as well and was fun as fuck.
Hoping he makes Rival Schools 3 and Power Stone 3 one day.
Certified Ganker core game
is that a bussy?
No it's dicky
>voices are just normal voices but pitched up
I don't understand how can anyone stand this shit. You couldn't make a more unnatural and annoying e-boi voice if you tried.
It's a ps3 era game, what did you expect?
They coudn't just have 200 GB of voice files like today.
the first strand-type game.
Top tier combat mechanics that somehow filter most people because understanding them isn't super essential with 4 characters spamming skills.
Nice offline MMORPG
There we go.

He meant it's big barren and empty you sensitive dweeb. FFXVI has the same issue.
I'll just say it. It's better than Ocarina of Time.
>no dragon's dogma clone but with OoT art style
thing i didn't know i wanted #927
I can't fucking wait for DD2
garbage with some potential 5/10
I hope the sequel is actually good
worst Ganker meme shill

I don't know how people defend this game.

if dragons dogma 2 is just the first game but with more polish and content it will be the greatest piece of media ever created by the human race
One of the best games I’ve ever played.
Kino game, I never beat Daemon though because he kept oneshotting me and I probably would have needed to grind 50 levels
It's okay, it'd be better if it didn't tie itself to some half-assed RPG system where enemies can have too much because you're underleveled.
*too much health
Don’t like it. Combat is okay, but I had no fun doing fetch quests or running around the world. A lot of people like it so I just chalk it up to not being for me

Oh, I also hated the enemy armor system where they just shrug off attacks while still being able to preform their own
You mean the resistance where you do 1 damage until you get more than their damage reduction? It's a weird implementation but I like it cause you quickly feel more powerful once you outdamage it

It's how open worlds should be. You get fucked and come back later
It happened on my way to the next quest marker. I don’t usually play open world games, but stuff like that isn’t fun for me
One of my favorite games.
Aught
Absolute trash.
6/10
5/10
hated pawn system and bbi is trash other than that it was nice

8.5/10 good game.

'TIS WEAK TO FIRE
Absolutely a piece of shit that made me lose faith in Ganker recs, BUT there are some glimmers of gold in this turd. DD2 could potentially be great.
playing a new game right now. Anyone hiring? And what are some good knight/squire looking armors?
Aw man, if you were on PS4 I'd hire and could give some armors
It's cool. I'd settle for some pointers on where to find good stuff, if you've got any
Well tbh you can get a lot of good squire armor from the shops in Gran Soren. Have you played DD before?
