>Thoughts on this series?
Good games that get better as they go on. Zero 1 is a bit rough but does things different enough from other mega man games to be interesting. Zero 2 is more traditional but keeping some cool (and jank) things from 1, an all around upgrade. Zero 3 irons out everything janky about 2. 4 is more of a sidegrade but still good. >Is it worth playing?
Fuck yes, Zero 3 is peak fucking megaman.
move forward while shooting blaster on stages with enemies like this. pretty sure they die from one shot and one slash so you just shoot while moving, react to the sound of the blaster hitting and then slash
I would like to replay some of them on hard mode with the new Frozenith remixes. Or I guess I just like the idea of doing that and probably wouldn't actually do it.
Hell yeah it's worth playing. I'd recommend starting with 2. Go 2 > 3 > 4 > 1. 1 tends to be really rough and not exactly a great starting point. You aren't missing much story wise by going back and playing after the other 3, plus you'll be better equipped to handle the difficulty.
Emulate the games, preferably the DS collection, though the GBA versions are fine too.
If you don't want to emulate the ZX/Zero legacy collection on pc is a good choice, just be sure to grab the mods for better sound if you do. There should be a guide on the Steam guides on how to mod it.
Zero 2 and Zero 3 get better when (you) get better at them also when you get the patch for the japanese version of Zero 2 that let’s you skip almost every cutscene. I sucked ass at these games and classic mega man games but after constantly replaying Zero 2 and Zero 3 maintaining an A and S rank became easy.
they're nice games for the speedrunning type of community. the type that like to minmax everything and play games like they're not games. I'd say they're fun. but they're still megaman games, so nothing really impressive or exceptional generally, the novelty of a "platformer" playing like this is what draws you in at first more than anything. I remember being surprised at how much I liked X the first time I played it, but how boring the combat and level design was settled in quickly, and the same is largely the case for Zero. Like I said. Still fun games for the most part.
Also why is he wearing a diaper?
fuck yes it is
most the androids in megaman wear a speedo thing, i huess because he was originally based on the design of Astro boy.
They didn't have to make it look like such a diaper though. Astro Boy's doesn't look like one.
Megaman Zero 3 was my favoirte so yes, play them
3 > 2 > 1
Haven’t played 4 but yeah this is all you need to know
I would say 3>2=4>1. All are good though but 1 is pretty punishing.
I haven’t played it but I’ve heard the soundtracks before and some of them have impressively good music, all I can offer unfortunately.

impossible without save states
This series was wasted on the GBA.
Why?
the gba had some great action platformers
Bro, just jump slash
move forward while shooting blaster on stages with enemies like this. pretty sure they die from one shot and one slash so you just shoot while moving, react to the sound of the blaster hitting and then slash
Yeah. Here is my modlist from when I beat them all last year.

This is actually the track I liked the most. MMZ4 had great tunes.
Hot design…
Yeah, it's hard as fuck btw.
I'd honestly say only 1 is hard
It's only hard if you both don't use cyber elves and also want to get S ranks at the same time.
Not really unless you have some investment in Zero personally as a character
The games aren't particularly very good
Zero isn't even the same person in MMZ. That said they're still good games.
They're really not despite the small vocal fanbase preaching otherwise they sold poorly for a reason even among MegaMan games
This tune is also kino. I heard it used in Mega Man Maker X recently too.

I have that same autism blanket
