I've done some rough benchmarks on the EA version on the Steam Deck, it looks like they improved graphics and performance significantly, up to 50%. Details like shadows and stuff are still decent (looks better compared to EA's low) even on low, and I'm getting constant 7-8w at 40fps with no dips. Simultaneous inputs don't work, but I was able to make controller aiming somewhat passable by lowering ingame aim sensitivity all the way down 0.2x and upping gyro precision. Still not as good as raw mouse movement though, I hope they fix that.

He still didn't add an explanation in the opening cutscene/first play section about strength affecting the aim sway, tons of morons are going to think something's wrong with their game and never make it to the first level up statue to see it
2-4 more spells would've been great for example. I don't know about the new levels and enemies, so I won't say anything about that, just hoping they're interesting.

The dev unfortunately bent the knee to them and changed the naming to Standard and Advanced.

As others have said in this thread, Normal mode used to be called easy mode. The intended difficulty is the advanced one and you will not get the true challenge of the game otherwise.
I'm absolutely done with souls after hundreds of hours, but this felt different. More 3D platforming, and magic is actually fun to use and linked closely with melee attacks, since you get faster charging spells by attacks and dodging. While in soles it always feels like absolute shit.
I honestly remember even standard mode being harder. Like the first enemies could kill you in a few hits.
Also OG nobeta voice imo was a lot better than Shamiko/Mona.
I legit have no idea how you're supposed to beat Tania now, you can no longer sprint to get away from the laser barrage, dodging doesn't work and parrying means 100% death if you mistime it. I only got lucky and beat her because she didn't use it on one run.

The chest is hidden from view, but you should have seen a ledge you could jump to leading to where you have to jump.

So you know how you walk into the big room from the top and you see that broken doll and already lit lamp in the distance? That is where the chest for Arcane 2 is, you have to jump over from a outcrop by the door to the hallway back up from the bottom area.

The devs never touched the demo/EA version at all. The final game includes the demo and the other half of the game.
Souls with a e-girl and focus on magic and physical attacks and dodges since attacking and dodge attacks while chanting spells speeds it up and restores mana.
The big issue is you can't be in the walking state and start sprinting, you need to be in the faster walking state first, so I get why the dodge and sprint keys are not the same.
frick there were some gates in the first area I wasn't able to open and other stuff how do I go back there? like before the first boss (the big armor) there's an area that I couldn't access, at least I thought I couldn't.. some area walled off w/ magic but the crystal kept healing faster than I could destroy it

I think so but I don't think it will have much replayability. Which is fine, we don't need all the games to be something that can be played over and over again.
The best part is it still calls Advanced Mode "Normal Mode" right under the text while also saying under the text for Standard Mode that the mode enhances Nobeta meaning makes it easy.

I've done some rough benchmarks on the EA version on the Steam Deck, it looks like they improved graphics and performance significantly, up to 50%. Details like shadows and stuff are still decent (looks better compared to EA's low) even on low, and I'm getting constant 7-8w at 40fps with no dips. Simultaneous inputs don't work, but I was able to make controller aiming somewhat passable by lowering ingame aim sensitivity all the way down 0.2x and upping gyro precision. Still not as good as raw mouse movement though, I hope they fix that.

Originally the difficulties were labeled Easy and Normal, but shitters got stomped on and complained that Normal was too hard and when they were told to change to Easy they threw a hissy fit because playing on Easy is demeaning to them. The dev unfortunately bent the knee to them and changed the naming to Standard and Advanced.
Daily reminder that on "normal" you had to fight Monica's 2 phases each time if you get beat but whereas on easy, if you beat the 1st phase, you immediately skip into the 2nd phase during your next tries.

The chest is hidden from view, but you should have seen a ledge you could jump to leading to where you have to jump.

How do you remove hat/cloak? The toggle isn't there.

If you're playing with controller make sure you go to the camera options and turn down the speed. Setting aim sensitivity to 0.6x helps a lot too.
