Time for a new mouse

My mouse broke. I need to get a new one. I was using a Logitech G502 hero. I liked the form factor but Ghub sucked and I kept hitting the DPI buttons on accident. I'm thinking about going with the Razer Basilisk V3. I don't care about wireless and I'd prefer not to spend over $100 USD on a mouse. Any reason not to get a wired Basilisk V3?

If not that what would you recommend for a palm grip user who doesn't care about wireless or super-light weight mice?

Why don't you care about wireless or super-light weight mice?

I got a Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro and I can never go back to wired and non-lightweight mouse ever again.

      >Why don't you care about wireless or super-light weight mice?

I don't play competitively and use my computer for more than just gaming so a light weight mouse isn't that appealing. I also don't want to pay more money to go wireless. Wires don't bother me in general.

I don't play competitively either. It's just super comfy. Found it weird that the two things I love the most in my current mouse is what you specifically don't want, but understandable.

Well tell me what your experience with it is like. Maybe I'm just being ignorant and I'd actually like it.

How's it's battery life? Do you use a palm grip on it? How stiff is the scroll wheel? I often need to scroll through code and use the scroll wheel a lot. Do you feel more accurate with it in an FPS game over some heavier mouse?

Battery life is actually very good, easily lasts a week or even more on a single charge. And charging it is super simple, just pull out the wire from the dongle and insert into the mouse, takes like a couple of hours max, never really measured. I have small hands, I don't always palm grip, but when I do it's comfortable too, depends on the situation. The scroll wheels are fine, I don't code, but I use it extensively when browsing and so far have not run into any issues with it, does the job perfectly. I do feel I have an easier time aiming in FPS games. Most apparent is when I plug the wire in to charge while trying to play, it just doesn't feel right anymore. Still doable but prefer wireless now, got very easily used to it.

So rebind them, you know you can do that right?

Yeah, but that doesn't change that their positioning makes them basically useless. What do I rebind them to? Some other action I don't intend to activate when I accidentally bump it? So they end up just not being used.

Using a logitech g pro wireless. Shit regularly goes on sale and grabbed mine for the equivalent of 85 usd. Charge it like once every 2 weeks or so if that, and when charging it's just a regular wired mouse. Also don't give a shit about the light weight stuff, but the rgb isn't gaymer, you can remove the side macro buttons if you want, and there's a version of the logitech software you can install thats not ghub that afaik just installs the profiles to your mouse directly so you don't need the program running. Not gonna pretend it's the best thing on the market as I honestly have no clue and have only used corsair and Razer like several years ago, but I like this mouse.

Buying a new mouse because you moronicly keep hitting a button? Why don't you have the entire mouse set to your preferred DPI so it doesn't matter if you hit it.

Did you not read the post? First words are "My mouse broke." The DPI buttons have nothing to do with that sentence.

My cousin got the basilisk v3, he said he really likes it but there's a modifier button on the left side that you can't remove and it annoys him.

If you buy Logitech or Razer in this day and age, you deserve all the issues they come with. Quite literally any other brand is better now.

Do go on then, please name a palm grip mouse that's better than the Basilisk V3.
