Did they only have like 8 people working on this? Everything new looks amateurish especially the animations, the ones where you shift between falling states and land on the glider look straight-up bad.
Severally disappointed. Nothing over world wise looks different besides some shit scattered about. Wtf was the flying thing at the end that he was standing on. it doesnt look polished at all looks like it was made last week and included in the trailer.
the next trailer better show >More villages >loads of new equipment and clothes >Actual new places to explore >Overworld fricking changes >Loads of new enemies Not the fricking same ones but diffrent
5 fricking years you c**t and this is all they have to show, it's not being entitled it's being disappointed in such mediocrity when botw had massive standards
Don't hate this guy. He brings up some legit criticism.
I also think for something like that glider which is a focal point when on screen, it looks kind of stupidly low poly. I don't care about shit like the trees though.
>especially the animations, the ones where you shift between falling states and land on the glider look straight-up bad
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that
That was kind of my thought, either is applicable really. I just wasn't sure if there was any voiceover in the Direct that outright pronounced it. I was hoping it was implying maybe tears in time, and you would take part in the throwdown with Ganon 10,000 years ago or something, or maybe revisit the Twilight Realm. There's a lot of possibilities there.
I definitely think there will be tears and dimensionhopping/timetravel of some variety in the game. But I believe it is tears (as in crying) as it will be a sad and somber tone about loss and endings.
Me too, the teasers they have released so far have given off very dark, surreal vibes. It's looking to be a mishmash of Majora's Mask, Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild.
I think it will be Zelda's magnum opus, tbh...
Itd be kinda cool if it was some crazy ordeal with Links from different timelines meeting up to take down ganon for good. Wouldnt happen but a homie can dream.
Remember the first teaser with the lava and dark world and theme and Majora's Mask style music? Mhmm, it's happening, baby. 🙂

Im sure some ridiculous crossover reference stuff is going to go down like dark world/twilight realm popping up but i mean you literally meeting the hero of time/twilight/winds etc. And all collectively fricking ganons shit up at once. I wouldnt even care if it was a
QTE or even a fricking cutscene but we deserve something for that dogshit ending in BotW

That shit from 3 years ago?
It's going to get scrapped, all that shit in the caves don't matter anymore we are in the sky because A LOT of people bought skyward sword.
It's tears as in time/dimensions, which is why they aren't showing much because once they show more than a few action clips this will be over,
It's also tears, given the Sheikah motif, and Tears being a regular thing in TP/SS. I think the green energy will coalesce into a liquid form that will be called tears, perhaps residual energy of lingering spirits.
Blue energy = tech
Red energy = Malice
Green energy = tears (spirit energy)
That's some bullshit. The "breath" thing was about how much work they spent on the grass physics, and tears have been a common motif in the series for pretty much its whole run.
Both names are shitty and don't roll off the tongue at all but they make sense.
Dunno, I'm just a Ganker commenter, I'm not part of a team of 100 fulltime video game creators. Maybe I'll come up with something if you give me an hour.
People think the female-looking figure seen at the start resembles Majora. It doesn't, and the figure just has exaggerated eyelashes like the "Zelda" figure does.
MMgays will grip onto any breadcrumb they can in hopes Nintendo directly references and expands the "lore" in a future game. If it wasn't obvious, the only games Aonuma actually cares about for story are OoT, SS, and BOTW.
Mostly the first trailer. ''Hey let's re-use the engine of this groundbreaking zelda game but now make it creepy''. On a conceptual level the comparison makes sense, though there's no direct connection.
to be fair, the enemy variety was held back by how awful the game was balanced to trivialize every encounter. It would be way more fun if those 54 different enemies actually posed 54 different threats, instead of >walks slowly up to you >winds up for 5 seconds >performs a single non-tracking slash >deals 0.25 hearts if it hits when you have 20 hearts >hitstunned and interrupted by every attack
>shows absolutely zero proof of a majoras mask like zelda game >only a couple seconds of the same botw map but now with floating rocks >wooow this is just like majoras mask guys
Yeah not here to talk trash about the game I loved BOTW but this is fricking delusion to the max, I could be wrong as frick which I hope I am and OP is right but so far thier is little to no evidence of such case until the game is release and we see it first hand, or they show more gameplay proving the point!
Why did everyone forget about the first trailer? All the underground stuff, ganon, the castle rising. It looks like there's going to be a lot of stuff they don't want to spoil so they're just showing generic shit.
>bigger and more towns/cities >crafting/repairing weapons and armor from materials >hookshot, titan's mitts, pegasus boots >more rods >bigger arsenal in general
this is all i care about
>Initial teaser got me excited for the direction they were seemingly going in >First proper trailer killed that excitement by going in a totally different direction >Feel no hype whatsoever from the current trailer (at least partially because this is the third fricking time they've ended a direct with this game)
>Yep, I'm thinking... kino.
and you'd be correct.
Did they only have like 8 people working on this? Everything new looks amateurish especially the animations, the ones where you shift between falling states and land on the glider look straight-up bad.

I SWEAR TO GOD WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE SHIT
Entitled piece of shit, better watch yourself going forward, kiddo
5 fricking years you c**t and this is all they have to show, it's not being entitled it's being disappointed in such mediocrity when botw had massive standards

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that
im guessing monolith soft didnt help the zelda team this time
Tears of the Snoy
It gonna be shit
Frick skyward sword. MM is too distinct for the casual look Nintendo has been going for since Wii.
It's gonna be a cave explorer dwarf game.
Is it Tears like crying, or Tears like tearing a sheet of paper?
Nobody knows. My thoughts are it's intentional wordplay and will refer to both tears and tears (as in tears in the fabric of reality/dimensions etc.).
I want a dark Zelda game again
Me too, the teasers they have released so far have given off very dark, surreal vibes. It's looking to be a mishmash of Majora's Mask, Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild.
I think it will be Zelda's magnum opus, tbh...

It's actually a synonym for "Breath", they both mean "metaphorically nebulous but deep sounding word that can be slotted into an x-of-the-y title"
That's some bullshit. The "breath" thing was about how much work they spent on the grass physics, and tears have been a common motif in the series for pretty much its whole run.
Both names are shitty and don't roll off the tongue at all but they make sense.
There's nothing even remotely Majora's Mask that's been shown, you moron.
It looks good but there's nothing remotely Majora's Mask about it.
See
The shorterm memories of gamers, I swear to God...
Please Nintendo-sama, just let me make Link a trap again. This is my one hope for the entire game.
>Skyward Sword
>kino
moron alert
>tiktok
>black wiener worship
don't you guys find it thematically unoriginal
The franchise is almost 40 years old by this point... what could they honestly do that is thematically original.
Dunno, I'm just a Ganker commenter, I'm not part of a team of 100 fulltime video game creators. Maybe I'll come up with something if you give me an hour.
Where are all these Majora's Mask comparisons coming from? What makes anyone thing the game is going to be like Majora's Mask?
People think the female-looking figure seen at the start resembles Majora. It doesn't, and the figure just has exaggerated eyelashes like the "Zelda" figure does.
MMgays will grip onto any breadcrumb they can in hopes Nintendo directly references and expands the "lore" in a future game. If it wasn't obvious, the only games Aonuma actually cares about for story are OoT, SS, and BOTW.

Because it's an asset flip with a seemingly darker tone.
Yeah
i didnt see anything that could possibly be called as inspired by Majora's Mask
It looks EXTREMELY Majora's Mask, chuds.
>MM invented spooky music and skellingtons
I can see I am conversing with a moron and shan't debase myself any further.
Worked.
>BOTW
>Kino
Kys
So....
they're going to frick it up again, aren't they?
>BotW: They forgot to make enemies to put in the overworld
>TotK: They forgot to make a new overworld
LMAOOOO
yeah..
Twilight Princess Bros...
criminally underrated zelda entry
to be fair, the enemy variety was held back by how awful the game was balanced to trivialize every encounter. It would be way more fun if those 54 different enemies actually posed 54 different threats, instead of
>walks slowly up to you
>winds up for 5 seconds

Twilight Princess chads... we just keep winning!
WE'RE GOING HOME
Space?

Nintencultists really pride themselves over eating the same regurgitated shit over and over, huh?
Why did everyone forget about the first trailer? All the underground stuff, ganon, the castle rising. It looks like there's going to be a lot of stuff they don't want to spoil so they're just showing generic shit.
No idea, spastic mongoloids with shortterm memories, I guess?
i miss /lozg/

There’s nothing kino about the Keebler Elf games. Zelda is the most overrated shit on the planet. Most of the games are shit.
Is BotW as washed out and dull ingame as it always looks in promos?
