Badwater's C point is either the easiest point to cap if Red doesn't have a defense after Blu caps B or the hardest point to cap if Red DOES have a defense mounted before Blu can push past B.
Bad and Swiftwater are the only payload maps I can think of where there is actual skill involved from both teams to determine who wins. For example, if Red on BW doesn’t secure the tunnel, doesn’t secure the roof, doesn’t secure the corner, and doesn’t secure the flank on the final point, they WILL lose. However, securing those key vantages doesn’t meant they will automatically win either. That’s really good map design, in my opinion.
I used to play sniper a lot and this is honestly one of the worse areas for them. Explosives get spammed and people use the cart for cover as they push through. You're honestly just as well being any other class here

A. Valve designed TF2 with solo play in mind. They understand that playing as a team is more frustrating and constraining than playing how you want. Look at Overwatch, or even MvM which is only played today because you can get good items from MvM tours.
B. Losing a 2v1 is fine, but with Sniper’s role and how Spy works, it’s not a 2v1. Sniper is picking off your teammates as well, so it’s a bit more nuanced than just Spy vs Sniper + Engineer
C. The amount of effort required for the Spy to get behind enemy lines without being bumped or spotted is far more than an Engineer pressing 4 -> 1 and right clicking in a sentry spot, and the Sniper just standing there.
Yesterday I topscored as sniper and they were all going left from right. It's just that they were still predictible. and even when they weren't I was able to land a flickshot on 3. It felt good for me, but it must have felt awful for them.
I don't like Sniper because I don't find him fun to play as.

What a retarded take. This only applies if you're running in a straight line at the sniper shooting him from a distance. The way to counter sniper is to close the distance using flanks and classes with high mobility.
If you apply this same logic to Spy, suddenly the Spy has infinite health because he attacks you from behind and therefor you can't damage him. Or you could just turn around.
You turning around is very different from trying to flank. In your Magical Christmas Land scenario, the sniper’s team is never on the flanks, so you can just go around him. That’s not how the game works. If there is a spy at your back, you flicking behind you is a safe move, and that spy also has to worry about your teammates behind him.

I don't use the SMG often because medics are allergic to healing me and I need the passive camper regen but I rely on melee a ton when in a tight spot up close because I either flubbed the quickscope or feel like it'd be safer to melee

Any class that’s a frontline or flank class is always going to be more skillful than backline classes. The deeper you are in enemy territory, the more danger you have to account for, and more you have to use those nuanced skills.
Because of that, Heavy and Soldier still take more skill than Sniper. Even if Sniper requires more aim skill, Soldier/Heavy require more dodging skills (as the slowest classes no less), more positioning skills, more game awareness skills, more number management skills, more risk management skills, etc.
Actually as I mention this, Medic also requires some of those skills even if he’s always behind his teammates.

Except that's not the case for any class except sniper. A scout that uses an aimbot wouldn't win as much since he relies on movement, doesn't really matter that he can aim at you precisely if he is far away and not moving well enough. Same for pyro, a pyro that can aim with his flamethrower that's barely something to mention. Heavy gets stronger with aimbot sure but since there is a certain spread and since he's slow he won't do much and can easily get killed anyway. Same goes for all other classes, and I won't even mention projectile based classes.
See, all classes rely at least somewhat on movement to outplay others. Sniper doesn't, and that's why he is unfit for this game, at least in the current state. Positionning and prediction, that's the areas in which the classes have to excell, aim is secondary and the proof for that is how much aimbot is useless for most of the classes. Sniper has no positionning game except staying far away and being untouchable. Sniper needs to be fixed so that he has to manage his position and take risk to do a lot of damage, like every other class.
I'm starting to believe the sniper hate is coming from a high concentration of pyro mains on this board given all the chud/furfag/e-boi art I see posted on a daily basis.

Scout is literally the most balanced and merit based class of the game, he has the highest skill ceiling by far and to pull off heavy damage he has to take a lot of risk. He can be outplayed with most characters, but he can also outplay them. And you can do that by predicting his movements, it's as simple as that.
Sniper on the other hand controls sightlines, and sometimes that's just the whole segment of the map. You can't punish his mistakes like you can for scout.

What a retarded take. This only applies if you're running in a straight line at the sniper shooting him from a distance. The way to counter sniper is to close the distance using flanks and classes with high mobility.
If you apply this same logic to Spy, suddenly the Spy has infinite health because he attacks you from behind and therefor you can't damage him. Or you could just turn around.
You turning around is very different from trying to flank. In your Magical Christmas Land scenario, the sniper’s team is never on the flanks, so you can just go around him. That’s not how the game works. If there is a spy at your back, you flicking behind you is a safe move, and that spy also has to worry about your teammates behind him.

it's true I downloaded this crazy undetectable cheat where after tuning my aimbot for about 1500 hours over the course of a decade I can consistently land headshots and predict player movement without VAC suspecting a thing
sniper haters live in a fantasy world where every good sniper will always take the quickscope and win when it really is a gamble about 90% of the time. I don't use the SMG often because medics are allergic to healing me and I need the passive camper regen but I rely on melee a ton when in a tight spot up close because I either flubbed the quickscope or feel like it'd be safer to melee

Any class that’s a frontline or flank class is always going to be more skillful than backline classes. The deeper you are in enemy territory, the more danger you have to account for, and more you have to use those nuanced skills.
Because of that, Heavy and Soldier still take more skill than Sniper. Even if Sniper requires more aim skill, Soldier/Heavy require more dodging skills (as the slowest classes no less), more positioning skills, more game awareness skills, more number management skills, more risk management skills, etc.
Actually as I mention this, Medic also requires some of those skills even if he’s always behind his teammates.

I don't mind healing spies, having to get within kissing distance to get a kill earns my respect.

Except that's not the case for any class except sniper. A scout that uses an aimbot wouldn't win as much since he relies on movement, doesn't really matter that he can aim at you precisely if he is far away and not moving well enough. Same for pyro, a pyro that can aim with his flamethrower that's barely something to mention. Heavy gets stronger with aimbot sure but since there is a certain spread and since he's slow he won't do much and can easily get killed anyway. Same goes for all other classes, and I won't even mention projectile based classes.
See, all classes rely at least somewhat on movement to outplay others. Sniper doesn't, and that's why he is unfit for this game, at least in the current state. Positionning and prediction, that's the areas in which the classes have to excell, aim is secondary and the proof for that is how much aimbot is useless for most of the classes. Sniper has no positionning game except staying far away and being untouchable. Sniper needs to be fixed so that he has to manage his position and take risk to do a lot of damage, like every other class.

I get such a rush seeing like 70 teleports on the scoreboard at the end. Because I love the teleporter so much, I use the Eureka effect 24/7 and never use any other wrench

I don't care about topscoring, I do think that spy should not get a bonus though but otherwise it's all fine. I do think that sniper and spy are awful to play against though and no matter how much skill you have as it's been proven with comp players, you can't always avoid snipers or spies. Watching B4nny or another high skill comp player in casual should be enough to know this now. I do think spies remain acceptable, like how demoknight coming at you from behind a corner and instantly killing you is acceptable, but sniper isn't.
Scout is literally the most balanced and merit based class of the game, he has the highest skill ceiling by far and to pull off heavy damage he has to take a lot of risk. He can be outplayed with most characters, but he can also outplay them. And you can do that by predicting his movements, it's as simple as that.
Sniper on the other hand controls sightlines, and sometimes that's just the whole segment of the map. You can't punish his mistakes like you can for scout.
There is enough video evidence of high skill players getting fucked by snipers, so you're either playing on skial against bots or you're just playing spy in that case no wonder.
sniper is broken because he can oneshot without risk, whereas other classes as strong as some subclasses can be, always require some skin in the game to pull off heavy damage. Demoman can one shot with sticky traps but only at the cost of time, patience and planning. And if you look around openings and don't lower your guard you can mostly avoid those traps, especially after having identified that a demo uses those.
