Good. i stand with EA
THANK
YOU NIG
that image gave me aids
thats not news, my man. they have been saying that they want to sell, sell, sell! since spring last year iirc. and that nobody wants to.
lmao
EA is dying too, though.
also lmao
that will be too good to be true, but sales dont mean anything.companies that follow ESG agenda receive tax money
It's not tax money, it is inflationary money. Though the ESG thing will stop being a thing in the next year or so. It has been tried so many times, google triple bottom line.
They shut ESG down a while ago. No more free money compensate for woke games not selling
>le /misc/lers lose again
If anything, ESG drying up and Ubisoft immediately being in financial trouble and canceling several projects proves the opposite.
and Ganker will still blame Blackrock for the wokeism in western games, not understanding that most devs are hardcore lefitsts
That shit happened 2 months ago. How long do you think development of games takes?
Very little time when you know what you're doing and trying to do. Big developers take forever because they spend months hashing out everything instead of actually doing shit, largely because their scope is always too big.
>"That shit happened 2 months ago."
>image says March 2022
so which one is it?
I don't know what type of bullshit you heard but ESG is alive and well
>https://www.theglobeandmail.com/investing/investment-ideas/article-why-esg-investing-will-accelerate-in-2023-plus-three-stocks-gordon/
>why the ruinous and increasingly transparent pump-and-dump scheme we're invested in is still totally a good idea for the rest of you to invest in, chumps
>18 March
CD Projekt Red posted this on October
I thought you guys said ESG would ensure all these woke Western publishers would never die
them dying is part of the long-term plan.
destroy all sources of fun for everyone
why are they destroying them if they are supposedly a key piece to brainwashing people.
>having to pay one entertainment company > having to pay multiple entertainment companies
these people have a nose for finances
less people around to brainwash
You don't need to brainwash triple jabbed "people" that are going to die of aids and of suddenly before 2030.
>before 2030
that's a relief, last time the estimation was february 2021
Oh it's moved to 2030? Next you'll tell me the jabbed will die an unexpected death by heart failure at the ripe young age of 87, those poor gullible souls.
>them dying is part of the long-term plan.
>destroy all sources of fun for everyone
ubisoft games haven't been fun for years so there is no loss
>Ah yes mister bond!
>My total and abject failure was but a small step in my master plan of ruling the worl-
>his manic cries were cut short as, wrapped in an inescapable straight jacket, he is gingerly thrown into an ambulance, never to be seen again
piracy already ruined their plans
Do you homosexuals actually believe the nonsensical shit you spew?
/v/'s argument was that it was propaganda machine. And now they wanted to destroy "fun" all along?
>Pandemic causes bump in videogames
>devs overreact (among other industries)
>surprise
also this
>FINKED.com
all according to plan. you can't sink the fink.
The economy crashed and the ESG funds dried up.
Blackrock lost several trillions last year.
But I thought they could LITERALLY print money???
They will get all that back in taxpayer money if they REALLY need it.
Blackrock won't be allowed to die until it achieves it's intended purpose.
You really don't get how a fund works right? Back to r/wallstreetbets, tourist.
It's not their money. People give them money to invest and they take a cut. Wow, that was hard right? Don't you have some gayslop stonk to shill?
>You really don't get how a fund works
Rules are for chumps, the people behind these enterprises make them up as they go when they need it, they got both parties in their pocket.
>they make up the rules
>to lose millions, billions even trillions
Cuck-tier financial fantasy
>Blackrock lost several trillions last year.
That was a tax-deductible write off silly. You think ~~*blackrock*~~ pays taxes lmao, no they get tax money and loans and the fed giving them the keys to the printer on weekends. It's all part of the plan! Them losing money=neo nazi white males are waging an apocoliptic war against them.
I live on the corner of ubisoft montreal they have done so much damage to my neighborhood in the past 20 years its not funny. If the building was the catch on fire and start burning badly I'd run the store to by a 6 pack and watch cheering on the fire and pleading with the fire depo to stop and allow gods will to banish that horrid building. Everyday I pray to god ubisoft crashes and burns everyone who works their is out of a job in game dev/etc permanitly. Everyday god foresakes and taunts me as that building stands. And good lord the people working there every time I listen in on a converstation I just want to eat glass and drink bleach such delsional people its unreal
Black person, do you understand how taxes work?
>I'm going to burn 1000 dollars in cash to pay 500 dollars less in tax! Yes, I am so smart! Get wrecked, US Government!
You're either a Black person or still live at home
>corprate tax is the same as personal/business tax
no anon you're the Black person a DOUBLEBlack person at that corporate tax isn't even a whole other ballpark or sport its another plane of reality
I'm literally an accountant you fricking Black person.
You're an anonymous poster on a Hawaiian reed skirt weaving forum.
At least I understand how taxes work, you fricking gorilla. Thanks for the job security.
not him, but work in finance, a lot of banks/funds will close investments that have a negative unrealized over one that has a positive one if they suspect a market downturn. If you sell your positive investments, you owe tax plus still have exposure to the downturn through your negative investments. If you sell the negative investments instead, you gain a similar level of market exposure but at least are able to save the tax deduction on the already negative investment. Understanding Finance is like a bellcurve, morons have no idea how it works but reach the right conclusions because ultimately everyone working in Finance is autistic about trying to maximize everything.
Yes, there's obviously always complications but I wanted to explain the bare minimum. And you can't call the mouthbreathers IRL Black folk so I went for it.
Also, it's literally not their money. They manage money for other people. They get their cut even if they would lose it all. You can't fricking deduct losing someone else's money. Holy shit you Black folk are so financially illiterate.
>NA eduction
what do you think happens when a portfolio manager loses their clients money with bad investments dumb frick? the client will stay with them because they love losing their money? fricking moronic europoor shitstain
>fund loses money in a general worldwide market downturn
Good luck finding another firm that didn't do exactly the same shit, homosexual. Even Kathy Wood is still going strong.
Lol moronic Black person confirmed
You fricking morons. Blackrock got noticed by normies. So it's "dried up" and they've moved it somewhere else and are just doing it under the table now.
>but muh blackrock
The only thing they have on switch is Mario ravbids and they keep dumping money into shitty PS4/Xbone shovelware.
I heard... there are still *gasp* straight white male workers in the company. Unacceptable.
Women absolutely sell, especially if they're attractive like Kassandra. Do these people not remember Tomb Raider or shit, Beyond Good and Evil?
>Kassandra
>attractive
I mean she does has an attractive face, blame the homosexuals at Ubisoft for giving her the body of a 15 year old boy instead of giving her a properly shaped body that she should have. The Valhalla b***h is even worse, she sounds, looks and acts like a man.
>Women absolutely sell, especially if they're attractive like Kassandra.
"It's worth mentioning that during the play tests, the split between Alexios and Kassandra was roughly 50/50. Phillips even believed the final numbers would showcase a bit more favoritism toward Kassandra when Assassin's Creed Odyssey fully launched, but it was actually quite the opposite."
"As it stands, the player usage stats indicate that the player divide between the two protagonists is "two-third Alexios" and "one-third Kassandra." Considering that Kassandra is the canon protagonist, one can definitely understand Phillips' surprise."
That French guy probably single-handedly saved the game from a commercial disaster.
https://gamerant.com/assassins-creed-odyssey-alexios/
>during the play tests
this always reveals the type of testers the industry uses
I don't why this is shocking to devs. Same with Mass Effect where Male Shep is still the overwhelmingly popular option yet this fact makes twitter and reddit seethe with rage for some weird reason.
Because devs and marketers literally live in a different reality from the people who play games. It's weird because games especially have this problem.
You have to deny and twist reality to maintain the charade.
Didn't Ubisoft sperg out when they found out most people picked the male?
More so that the team lead being interviewed was reluctant to talk about it for painfully obvious reasons.
It also goes to show just how bad it is when a suit - marketing no less - is the one who kept it treading water. Of course they made damned sure to push Kassandra as the canon choice in the next game.
>Schreier
fascinating
>spamming /misc/dditors are wrong again
And water is wet.
What a delusional image. Frick off.
>Far Cry 5
Cut obscene numbers of features that all prior ubi games in the series had, replaced it with nothing.
>The Division
Always-online pseudommo known for it's disastrous launch where nobody could actually play because they had to wait in an actual virtual line.
>R6 Siege
Turned the series from a tactical shooter to a shitty hero shooter.
>butthole's Sneed Origins
Shovelware.
Not if the leader is another fricking white.
>hyper focused on raceraceracerace
>twist into knots to justify racism against a certain race isn't possible because of their race
>totally not the racists
At least this shit has gotten so loud and frequent that most normal people are aware of this gambit by now; many audibly resisting it, many more tacitly so.
Ah! And so the pendulum swings back. May it's momentum pulverize those who tried so desperately hard - yet futilely - to undermine, destroy, and rebuild, in their profane image, reality. Get fricked lol
>People are starting to release all this race shit only happened because of occupy wall street and the israelites were afraid very afraid so they tossed race and sex into everything as a diversion for the 99% to fight each other as the 1% kept getting rich and gained more power
>we might get to witness a second holocaust the real once with the true final solution
>might get to witness a whole race wiped from the earth in modern times
please god let it happen society needs to heal humanity needs to unite we need to take to the stars
Did anyone complain about Sony appointing a white guy as president?
All FAA flights down yet Israels planes from the US remained. Rats fleeing a sinking ship. Jan 13th is the happening day.
Why the frick would anyone NOT want western game devs to die? Japan is the only country that can make good shit anymore.
anime and japanese games suck dick now too
Wrong.
I will take a dozen Mario Odysseys before anymore shit like what Ubisoft specializes in.
>Japan is the only country that can make good shit anymore.
Some of us aren't pathetic coomers that play any old trash as long as it has anime boobies in it.
There are no good nations for games. Just good devs. There's good western devs and shit western devs. There's good Jap devs and shit Jap devs. When has anyone who isn't a moronic weeb or a literal child given a shit about any game out of Japan that isn't made by either Capcom or Fromsoft?
>pokemon
>final fantasy
>dragon quest
>resident evil
>zelda
>mario
>animal crossing
>metal gear
>smash bros
>street fighter
All Japanese series with some mainstream appeal, with enough games to last someone a lifetime. The amount of good Western devs is equivalent to the number of bad Japanese devs.
What part of "isn't a moronic weeb or a literal child" didn't you understand? You may as well be listing shit like God of War and Call of Duty as being proof western devs make good games because there's a lot of morons that like that shit too.
Turns out even seemingly infinite funny money can't even budge the weight of raw reality.
Anons, simultaneously take heart and despair, as the normies will roll over in their sleep and unwittingly destroy any who prod and poke.
homie why do you think the entire financial sector is trying to upend our system of governance?
They don't actually have infinite money to subsidize sedition.
The ESG scam is running out of gas, as more and more companies and states are realizing ESG mutual funds are bad investments. The money is running out and especially with impending economic turmoil, most investors are going to be pivoting away from ESG and back towards profitability. The fact that the entertainment industry cannot survive without popular products also means that ESG peddlers like BlackRock are going to have less and less influence.

Its all part of the plan this is organized global antisemtism funded and master minded by C H I N A and R U S S I A. And it has to be stopped at all cost the weight of the western world depends on it *rubs hands*
That's what Larry tells them. This is what they get for trusting the israelite
the thing is ESG only worked while borrowing money was essentially free thanks to record low interest rates
now that the rates are substantially higher, it's far risker to borrow money for something you're not sure can cover itself
and if there's one thing the last few years have shown, it's that people weren't buying what EGS was funding
ESG has been a huge midwit trap. It's all a glorified pump-and-dump scheme. Basically these ESG-touting investment firms trick these companies into thinking that ESG checks are a form of continuous longterm welfare to let them bypass their customers' collective disinterest in their purposely unappealing products. Shoehorning insincere real-world sociopolitics (almost always left-leaning) serves to broaden investment appeal in the shortterm, only to rugpull those not in on the scheme when the product does not perform to the company's standards.
moronic tranime poster detected.
What will your next cope be when western devs continue pumping woke shit into their games even without their blackrock investment?
You know this is gonna happen because 99% of game devs are SJWs
It's almost the dumbest homosexuals who think they're being smart
and when is that exactly gonna happen Mr. homosexual?
now, double homosexual
either post an article saying "ESG doesn't exist anymore" or frick off back to your homosexual lair
kys dumb moron
now what you lil b***h?
You haven't killed yourself yet, you utter waste of oxygen? I bet your mother wished she aborted you, Black person homosexual.
I hope your death is long and painful, and that your family will spit on your grave.
I accept your concession, wiener eater
i will miss the signature ubi cringe-kino E3s
It all went downhill when they released Double Agent. Haven't recovered since.
oh wow
MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE MADE MORE RAYMAN GAMES AND LESS UBITOWER OPEN WORLD SHIT
Excellent.
On a related note Im playing Ghost of Tsushima, and Ubishit, Japan is a real thing. Games fun.
maybe they should start making good games
*AHEM*
stop pointing stuff out that I'm wrong about
that's the Japanese though
Italians using Japanese characters
I think it's the other way around
This is Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Milan, two of the original studios that worked on the early splinter cell games and Assassin's Creed Blackflag, aka the last good Assassin's Creed.
Their canadian studios, mainly Ubisoft Montreal, are pozzed beyond salvation.
>Their canadian studios, mainly Ubisoft Montreal, are pozzed beyond salvation.
Which basically also means the Prince of Persia remake that went from Ubi India to Ubi Montreal, went from shit at a technical level to just flat-out shit.
>the last good Assassin's Creed.
the last good assassins creed was the first one and the gameplay was shit
>Their canadian studios, mainly Ubisoft Montreal, are pozzed beyond salvation.
you could have just stopped at canadian
It flopped dumbass
it's actually a tragedy that the first Ubisoft IP in years that has tried something other than being another iteration of the generic Unisoft sandbox game has flopped
Does it matter that it flopped? We don't need another one. Not like they weren't going to make more open world games if this one sold well.
Far Cry 6 was terrible and they're out of ideas for their open world games so, don't worry, that'll bite them in the ass.
I mean, they arguably made those, too, except mostly they made ubisoft games.
yes, that is a genre.
finally
Ubisoft is becoming a three trick pony and consolidating around Tom Clancy, Far Cry, and Assassin's Creed. They won't die but for anyone not interested in those franchises, they might as well have.
far cry is their best game, and it's less than mediocre.
I feel like these three are merging into the same game only with different scenarios. Might be part of the problem.
If Far Cry gets adapted to the Anvil engine, then the merging will be complete, ye
>Ubisoft is becoming a three trick pony and consolidating around Tom Clancy, Far Cry, and Assassin's Creed.
They've been mishandling there Tom Clancy IP for the last decade. Ghost Recon wildlands is practical a Far Cry game. I don't know why they make everything open world it eat up so much more time and resources. They jumped on the season pass model Rainbow Six siege, no campaign only pvp. competitive multiplayer are a trap, keeping a player over years is next to impossible. For every fortnite or COD there dozen RE:verse and Splinter cell is dead.
Hitman has been fairly successful in the last few installments, you'd think Ubisoft would have been clamouring copy the open sandbox levels with multiple objective and ways to complete them.
I haven't bought a game of theirs since... fricking Black Flag? And even then a friend gifted it to since he got a copy for free through some promotion.
lol so yeah they haven't existed for me other than cringE3s and the occasional story of them doing dumb shit/bad game launches
Good riddance!
Frontiers of Pandora will save Ubi.
>Frontiers of Pandora will sa.....ACK CANCELLED
Never doubt Cameron.
It will be quickly forgotten like the last Avatar game.
Probably won't save them, but it may be fun. Or it could be terrible shite.
Adaptations of movies into video games always turn like trash or forgettable goyslop.
Maybe those NFT investments weren't such a hot idea after all.
>NFT
>investments
Ok boomer nocoiner keep living in that fantasy world when rug coin reaches .25 I'm gonna be a billionare and you'll be poor best 400k investment ive ever made
Shove more rabbids into things, that should fix it.
ancel got out just in time
I personally liked the AC - Far Cry 3 formula.
I didn't like it the next 1000 times they used it to make their games.
hope ubishit dies
nothing of value would be lost
Good, frick those CHUDS
How is it so fricking hard to make "generic pirate shit the videogame?"
That's all anyone actually wants out of any of these games but there hasn't been a real good faith attempt at it since 2004
Has to be made in Singapore due to a deal with the government over it, same reason they can't cancel it.
>How is it so fricking hard to make "generic pirate shit the videogame?"
It's apparently obscenely easy. One dude made the best 2D pirate game that played like Uncharted Waters + Ultima and it's become one of my favorite games ever. Anyone under Ubisoft is just incompetent as frick
>One dude made the best 2D pirate game that played like Uncharted Waters + Ultima
name?
Sid Meier's Pirates
>push denuvo everywhere because pirates are the root of all their sales problem
>dlcs everywhere
>among the first to implement DRMs and always online features in all their games
>tried to push for NFTs in game
>"LOOK HOW DIVERSE OUR TEAMS ARE"
>yearly copypasted goyslop
No one's gonna cry for them.
I'll piss on their grave
Don't forget trying to non-stop push their stupid Uplay bullshit.
And even when they finally "gave up", they instead directly integrated it in newer games.
Pure cancer.
That's what I meant by DRM and always online.
They were the first in 2009, then EA followed very closly with Origin in 2011.
Ubiturd were always the first to adopt draconian drm trash.
Don't forget they also left Steam for EGS for that sweet short term profit.
For a sec i thought you were speaking about Square Enix.
Strange how both fill those points.
Square Enix is similar but they don't have their own platform.
Ac 3 still the worst game ever made
ac3 was criminally terrible
then why did they announced 4 or 5 new AC games in development?
>Ubisoft is dying
Oh please oh please
I love watching companies that I hate die in real time
Chuds get canceled, you'd love to see it
Oscar Isaac was the only good actor in this gay movies. boyega is a fricking monkey
>Fey Vercuiel
of fricking course
she looks like a dude I used to go to school with
Why is every fricking studio infested with trannies nowadays? It's surreal.
Why do Bulgarians hate Black folk?
literally the whole world does, only americans and western europeans fellate them
been to africa? Black folk hate Black folk more than anyone else on earth
slavs are the Black folk of europe so they fear the competition
Who doesn't?
because they are low IQ racist morons
Everyone does, but east yuropoors are the only ones low IQ enough to say it out loud.
Or maybe it's because they have nothing to lose unlike the western countries that pretend to be civilized and want israelite money.
Same reasons as the rest of the world
I was on a school trip once when one of our religion teachers started looking out the windows as we were driving through Hungary, saw a bunch of Black folk and started making monkey noise and going like "oooohhhhh i see the monkeeeyy, i see the monkeeeeey hehehe"
nothing happened to him and everyone just laughed their asses off.
thats normal everywhere in the world, not even some le ebin hardcore racism, people are just like that
only westoids get their panties in a twist form shi like that
slavs should be some of the last groups of people calling anyone chimps.
seething blackie
They're still objectively better and western slavs of Serbia, Czech, and Poland are based.
>serbia
>western slavs
amerimutt moment
Slavs can be Black personish but have contributed tremendously to science, art, technology, and culture. The world work be centuries in the past if it wasn't for their countless civilisational achievements.
If by "Slavs" you mean "Chopin" and "St Petersburg", sure.
Even Slavic women like Marie Curie are smart. Name me a non-israeli Western Euro women who contributed to science?
Curie would have achieved nothing in her life if she remained in Poland, and you know it.
That's why the most gifted slavs leave their shitholes for the US.
Lovelace
Thank you anon. Thanks for introducing me to this lady, actually learnt something today.
They would be much better people, if they didn't go to war with each other like every fricking 20 years.
lmao Black folk have contributed 10 times more to culture and science than slavBlack folk
go die in trenches
Blacks have contributed absolutely nothing, and their continued existence in the west is actively detrimental to economic prosperity.
>invented rap music
>invented peanut butter
already better than anything slavBlack folk contributed to the world
I hate ziggers more than the next person. But this is beyond moronic slavs have contributed so much to the world other than gommienisim. Like a lot in the past 500 years especially the past 175.
Black folk have given us ebola aids crime debt etc Black folk only take and destroy they have never contributed anything to mankind
There have been a lot of Slavic inventors and scientists in history. Blacks have contributed absolutely nothing. You can't compare any race with blacks. There's nothing worse than black people in the world.
see
kys, slavBlack folk
you are literally an amerimutt
you are the meme of the world
funny coming from starving slavBlack folk
mutt moment
slavs and blacks are on the same level intellectually, I guess some slav invented the potato based version of peanut butter at some point
>slavs and blacks are on the same level intellectually
Veritas
t.slav
>You can't compare any race with blacks
Abbos. The only race more worthless than Black folk they were literally feral apemen for 50k years never farmed no housing never invented annything picking up a stick does not fricking count
They didnt release a single new game in 2022. There is nothing new announced for 2023.
Good
I'm glad to see that my boycott of their products is finally setting results after 15+ years.
wait chads always win
I've been boycotting them ever since I rented the very first ass creed from blockbuster
I've boycotted them since From Dust, I did pirate Black Flag though and that was pretty good. Haven't played another Ubisoft game since mostly because of them forcing their Ubishit Launcher and accounts too.
They get what they fricking deserve.
Be honest, what was the last really good assassin's creed game you played?
They were never good
none of them
Rogue, I guess
Although none of AC games belong to "really good" category anyway
4 was the last time i saw one and thought it looked fun.
but the first 2 were undeniably good games.
The first one? It was good at the time
picrel
pirates of the Caribbean played just like it without the gay bullshit storyline that totally unemerged you. that game sucked ass
either bullshit or your game came out many years after
all ac games are homosexual and gay. it doesn't matter. you're a room temperature homosexual if you enjoyed any of them.
sure thing kid, you were probably just being born when AC1 came out. It was a legitimately good title in the timeframe it released to, that's kinda why it spawned this accursed franchise template shit.
I bet you like shit music like punk rock too. frick off moron
you're legit homosexual if you can't enjoy sex pistols
I never said the game stood the test of time as some venerable great, frick you people are moronic. It was good in 2007
sorry I meant 2000s punk like blink 182
never played it back then was too addicted to wow
yeah I'm a kid with an old ass blockbuster card.
people who love ac1 must be the reason they keep including the moronic / impossible to follow modern day shit
1 was universally panned for its obscene repetitiveness when it came out. the open world concept they pushed forward was promising, though, which is why they franchised it. 2 and brotherhood were the first good ones
>It was good at the time
no it wasn't
it was the same copy pasted ubishit except with even less variety
while I doubt I would call it a 'really' good game and it has a ton of issues, I played a big chunk of unity recently and had a lot of fun. It was the last one that tried to be a stealth game but it's flavor of stealth is 'blitz the enemy so quick they don't know you're there'.
I liked the Egypt one. But they have a habit of making a game, then copy pasting it a few more times. Like Ghost Recon Wildlands was cool, but then they released the same thing again and called it Breakpoint. I dont think anyone bothered with that shit.
>but then they released the same thing again and called it Breakpoint
I wish.
Breakpoint had almost none of the fun stuff from wildlands and it took them a year of patches and backtracking to bring it close to that level of fun.
Revelation, III and Black Flag were hot trash, I quit the series after that.
Lol I only bought one and it was II for the PS3. Only finished it because PSN was down for a month.
it's like turds on a fly trap good job anon
3 when it released
Black Flag and Rogue
Brotherhood multiplayer.
When I played blackflag I was getting pretty into it as long as the game didn't want me to play assassin's creed. But then I dropped it and I don't even remember why.
I remember being really, really excited in high school to go over to a friends house that just got the lastest Assassin's Creed.
We both played for about 30 minutes, maybe an hour because of the JRPG/cutscene start, and then just put it down.
Bland, annoying, no player agency, "cool" actions without anything cool happening. For instance, it sounds badass that you're an assassin that has to listen in on conversations to track down someone and then ultimately do the job. What actually happens is literally mmo-tier gameplay though.
So, to answer you question, there hasn't ever been a good Assassin's Creed because I seriously doubt they improved upon this formula.
This. Assassin's Creed was never good. It was always pozzed garbage that was created to normalize violence against Christians.
>friend tells me about this assassin game
>shows me stuff about it
>looks cool
>releases, go over to his house
>character is in a modern, sterile, and shiny room with some kind of machine in the middle
>dude this doesn't look like the game you showed me
Did they show modern day stuff in the ads and shit or was it a surprise for people?
it was definitely supposed to be a surprise. to me, that was the coolest part of the game. and after I played it, it became the best part of the game.
i heard they fumbled the whole "diving into memories" aspect of the game that they just straight up got rid of it lolol
figures
At the time I don't think it was bad at first and could have been interesting but then devolved into muh 2012 doomsday shit that was popular in media.
that sucks man. oh well.
I have never played an Assassin's Creed game.
Unity. After that they released Syndicate which decided to make the free running useless by adding the grappling hook and designing the map around it, and then they made the shitty RPG ones.
Ass creed has literally never been good and it still boggles me how it's still going.
Neither have sports games they all still use engines from the ps3/360 era slightly updated use 2008 models and yet print money because stupid Black folk not only spend money on the base game but now loot crates season passes and wtv israelitery to fleece morons so they spend on average 500$ a year and buy multiply sports titles
Amazing isn't EA CHALLENGE EVERYTHING(never update only scam)
Unity, the parkour/free running animation is so realistic that they downgraded on the next game
Sucks that Rayman will die with them but at the same time it's been 9 fricking years since Legends, the rest of the company is fricking dogshit.
S
Ubishit definitively died when they made their canadian studios their main development centers, around 2009-2010.
You will NEVER have any new Silent Hunter game.
>Ubisoft tanks
>Valve buys the rights to the Splinter Cell franchise/IP
Valve never makes games either, it's a miracle we even got Alyx.
Skull and Bones would have been cancelled 100% if it wasn't for that singapour government contract
And that's a good thing.
>Ubisoft is dying.
And nothing of value is in any danger here
there's only one man who can save them now. but will he return?
They killed Rayman, frick them.
>frick steam, we out
>sales plummet
>noone wants their shit launcher
>ok fine were back on steam guys look were back hell yea
>game on steam just launches the ubiconnectplay horseshit
>people call this out
>also game runs like garbage and is the same shit as the last 4
good
frick em.
Good. They stopped trying years ago. All their games are exactly the same every year, just identical reskinned open world tedium. They killer Assassin's Creed with the dogshit RPG mechanics and terrible, floaty Witcher ripoff combat. Far Cry had been exactly the same game every time for over a decade now. They ruined Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon. They keep dumping money down the drain trying to make battle royale games no one wants because they are comically late to that party. Just let this failed company die, it's what they deserve for flooding the industry with useless diversity hires and refusing to spend any money or effort on improving their franchises.
So like From Soft but they aren't really enjoyable to play.
Fromsoft games aren't enjoyable either
it's almost like pumping out the same uninspired piece of shit open world games for a decade and stuffing them full of every type of bullshit monetization imaginable was a bad idea
it wasn't even good to begin with
>talented dev team makes a good game
>after release ubi hands it over to the diversity team
>huh the games are selling well, the diversity hires must work, just like the feminist frequency consultant said
>ubi tells the freaks to make a sequel
>the studio bombs
I don't see a single good game in your image
>the division
>origins
>good
ishiggydiggy
>All the games on the top
>good games
if those are good games, they deserve a barbed wire rope around their necks
Far Cry 6 could've been an okay game if you played as the son and weren't rebelling against the regime for once
havent played it, from the trailer i thought you did wtf?
nah you play as some rebel chick overthrowing the regime. The weapons are all moronic impossible shit and the game gives you super powers in the form of gadget backpacks, one of which is like 10 rpgs on your back which you fire simultaneously without touching
it's beyond the pale and well into stupid absurdity, soon it'll turn into Borderlands
>nah you play as some rebel chick overthrowing the regime
You pick the gender of the protag, moron.
*And if it had completely different, actually good gameplay instead of just being the same old Far Cry with no changes to the gunplay or formula since 3 besides adding bullet sponge enemies and level gating parts of the map like AssCreed and Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
Nah m8.
Even if they fixed the story somehow and it's fricking bad the gameplay is still shit.
I blown trough the entire game with just a starter silenced pistol with AP rounds.
It still amazes me that FC2 had one of the best enemy AI, while FC6 has one of the dumbest.
putting the word "good" next to any ubisoft game after AC1, maybe AC2, is an insult to the word.
Not a single one of them since 2009 has redeeming qualities or anything interesting going on in them.
I've tried several of them out, all for free, and none of them have managed to hold my interest for more than maybe an hour. Ubisoft is a terrible fricking developer and the idea that anyone still defends them is baffling.
>Far Cry RTX boogers and Rainbow Six Jank being "good"
This is embarrassing and youre embarrassing I hope I dont have to tell you what you need to do next.
Division 2 is way better than D1. Both suffer from the same issue though.
>make live service game
>never update it
>wonder why no one plays or buys shitty cosmetics.
To be quite honest Division 1 's setting with the snowy New York was something that I really enjoyed. Especially when you compare it to 2's mudfest.Div 2 adds a lot of content over 1 but it feels empy playing through it. Lately I've been trying out the raids and it feels like it's just a game not made for terminally online people.
after playing ass creed odyssey, it became clear that ubisoft have absolutely not talent and are relying too heavily on using generic empty open worlds to pad their shit games
RIP is SWTOR done for?
hopefully. they would have ruined it
Diversity doesn't work.
The definition of goyslop.
I would probably give more of shit if their launcher wasn't actual dogshit.
EA did the same fricking thing with their games and its horrid.
frick origins
>bawwwwww it's bad because it's not steam
>only BASED GOD GABEN is allowed to have a launcher and my money!!!!
So tired of corporate simps on my Ganker.
Ubi can have all the launchers they want, but they have no reason to bundle it when I buy it on fricking Steam, EGS or wherever.
Good. The damage they did to western games design is unparalelled.
>kotaku
kys OP
Jesus christ we've been had. op is bastard
>he think stephen tortilla still works at kotaku
How many of those were Rayman games.
(lol don't worry it was ZERO)
They have $2 billion in cash & equivalents on their balance sheet. $1.5 billion after they pay their upcoming debt maturity.
They will be around for a while that is certain. In terms of trying to fix profitability that has downtrended recently, they just need to double down on core franchises, and keep doing licensing deals like the Avatar game, since they essentially get free marketing.
Constantly trying to make hits is how you get wrecked as a video game developer. Activision-Blizzard for example has been farming the same franchises for 20+ years. They haven't had a new franchise since 2016 (Overwatch). Just focus on what works and explore new formats rather than trying to make new franchises from scratch.
You can always just acquire new franchises by M&A and scale them up like Tencent, Activision-Blizzard, Microsoft do. It's a proven model.
>They have $2 billion in cash & equivalents on their balance sheet. $1.5 billion after they pay their upcoming debt maturity.
I didn't know this. I retract my statement on Ubisoft dying.
I wish, but all they have to do is churn out another Ass Creed or Far Cry and normies will eat that shit up
Ubisoft is to blame for the leftist infestation of the video game industry, so frick them and good riddance. The Montreal game dev clique is where 90%+ of the Twitter screencaps that get spammed here as outrage threads come from, and there's only a Montreal game development scene because Ubisoft opened Ubisoft Montreal, and then helped other studios get set up there as well to turn it into Canada's "tech hotspot". The development teams that made Gotham Knights and nu Saints Row are also in Montreal. If those companies all die out, the trannies and diversity hires will basically be out of the industry with no one left to keep hiring them.
Nope, they will keep getting hired because right wingers don't make video games
In defense of the game dev industry in montreal It didn't become AIDS till 2010. Early ubisoft was a really cool company. Also most these people are not locals and moved here, the americans are by far the worst. People think montreal is some leftist paradise when that is far far far from the truth. Quebec has always been national socialist the nordic model plus national pride/culture/max racism. If you're in a union you can scream at someone calling them a subhuman sand Black person terrorist speak french or leave etc etc with no repercussions. This is the only first world "country" activaly fighting against israeliteery and has since the 70's the province has actively been fighting against islam for the last part of the decade trying to make religous clothing/culture banned in the "work place"
and FYI for people reading this english/anglophone has always been code for israelites and their subversive israelitery not against people who speak english
Not fast enough.
We're at a time now where either heavy microtransactions or no microtransactions at all only succeed.
The low effort AAA experience is dying and I'm all for it.
Soon microtransactions will be illegal and we'll go back to the good ol times.
We're also slowly going back to singleplayer games with an emphasis on narration and storyline.
The most surprising is that this conclusion was reached first by EA, who did a complete 180 in the recent years by going from "nowadays players only want multiplayer features, lootboxes and cosmetic DLCs" to "actually gamers are craving for singleplayer only games like in the good old times".
I believe they said that after Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order released and sold better than they ever expected. EA was skeptical a fully single player star wars game would be popular, and the game ended up selling faster than all their other games in the recent years.
https://www.eurogamer.net/star-wars-jedi-fallen-order-beat-ea-expectations-by-selling-8m-copies
EA can afford to do that because they have the ultimate money printer in FIFA. They realised they don't have to make every game FIFA, they just have to keep farming FIFA and make good games for the rest. Also the flop that was Anthem hit them hard.
and then they lost fifa because fifa caught wind of how much money they were actually making from fifa micro transactions.
Singleplayer storyline focused games can't really work FIFA anyway, it's not like they have a choice.
They're quite literally forced to use this business model to make FIFA successful, so why not keeping it going?
Thank fricking christ
I genuinely find Ubisoft games so bland and uninspired I can't even bring myself to start one of them.
They all look like the most generic and cookie cutter experiences that love to boil in their own mediocrity.
Pure time wasters.
I used to love a lot of Ubisoft's games. Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Prince of Persia, Far Cry. But you're exactly right. They turned every single one of their games into the exact same, homogenized, boring garbage. I can't stomach the thought of buying or playing another one of their games at this point because I have already played it before. They are all functionally the same.
Turns out cutting development costs to this extreme is not a good business decision in the long run.
It's sad to consider the likelihood that there are many talents there who want to make the games right but know they can't speak up or do anything for fear of being outcast.
I wish that they'll die so Massive Entertainment could work on World in Conflict 2
Their last good game was Fenyx Rising and they pushed it out within a month of Valhalla.
Get woke, go broke
sad thing is Alexios was enjoyable.
>Skulls and Bone
>Delayed again
Lmao. Singapore's Govt got fricking SCAMMED into giving money to Ubishit.
And Ubisoft is fricked if they want to cancel that project, because of the same funds.
>ubisoft goes from making the same game over and over again to making no games
genuinely shocking how much their output has slowed, maybe the old execs were right and knew you had to micromanage these lazy fricks
they were probably tired of making no money
ubisoft games absolutely made money
yeah way back in the day
like up to and including valhalla
konami's basically the same thing as ubisoft because the moment their leaders left is the moment they started making crap like survive or that other one, or even revengeance originally being in house before having to be outsourced
we might as well argue that shit companies like Konami were also good
There is no magic anymore, and they have no clue what to do with their IPs. AC has become a bloated open world game that people burn out before even finishing half of it. Far Cry's been recycling the formula from 3. Splinter Cell doesn't know how to be a stealth game that gets mainstream, so it always leans into loud stealth like Conviction, Double Agent and Blacklist.
open world isn't the problem. it's the game play
Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla all sold extremely well. The problem is the open world being bloated, they are spending a ton of time on shit barely anyone finishes then work on expansions that only bring a fraction of people back and paying. They don't know how to design a nice condensed game anymore.
I don't care how they sold. I hated the game play in all of them. I'd rather play jank like Gothic
Seconding this. I loved the Assassin's Creed series, but they completely lost with Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. The combat/general gameplay is fricking horrible, on top of the fact that the series lost the plot when they killed the main character and abandoned the story of the first three games.
>multi quadrillion dollar company is totally dying guys!!!
Let them dream bro.
Let them dream.
The West is def finished. Only based Russia and China are good now. They are against the globohomo
China is just a different flavor of globohomo. A worse one.
The CCP enforces censorship but chinese devs themselves love coomer material.
Its different from western devs who got invaded by diversity hires and now embrace puritan values willingly
At least China doesn't pander to blacks. This is all i need
>-100 social credits for browsing Ganker
China is what happens when the SJWs win, dipshit. Haven't you noticed how aggressively they attack anything that offends them even slightly? Didn't you see how aggressively the government was forcing Covid restrictions onto people?
>based russia
>military personnel rape each other for disobeying and call it "not gay"
>also get HIV while being raped
holy cope
good they deserve it for killing might & magic
Make Wildlands 2.0 in Mexico, please.
Maybe people actually got sick of their games.
Good.
Even normies seem to not be interested in ubislop anymore.
wasn't skull and bones announced like a decade ago now?
2016, I think. It's going to be complete shit, so they can keep delaying it all they want but it will never be good and no one is going to buy it. It looks completely inferior in every single way to Sea of Thieves.
What does Ubisoft even have anymore? Ass Creed? The franchise that they turned into bloated open world RPGs filled with rewriting history to suit their world view? The same series where they openly gloat about the female choice being canon in the last two titles despite using the male on all of the marketing and even the cover of the game? Gee I wonder why nobody cares bout their shit anymore?
ANNO series
>mfw everyone forgets the ANNO games.
Their the only game that has ever been consistently good, and by good I mean desveres to be in a museum over how phenomenal every game is.
latest one was kinda shit
I want them to die so that MS can buy up the Splinter Cell IP. Prince of Persia can come too. Rayman to Nintendo, and AC can die.
Ubisoft is the ultimate goyslop.
Their games are copy and paste of each other and they have done nothing innovative or even NEW for years. Just copy and paste their games in a new setting and updated graphics. Year in. Year out.
EA is shit but EA tries and funds innovative stuff once in a while. But Ubisoft? God forbid they try something new.
I hope it is true.
Ubisoft used to be kino be ever since the 7th gen they went to shit. They are basically the ass creed and farcry franchise company.
Good Good!
Please give Assassins' Creed and Siege to literally any other company at this point.
Prince of Diversity will save ubisoft!
I bet all 135+ of these people produce absolutely nothing.
they do a lot of talking, lots of meetings, lots more talking, more talking, lots of talking, talk talk talk
extremely productive people
>Manisha's daily drama about Pajeet gaining the manager's favours and getting a $0.01 /hr salary increase before her, despite being hired 2 hours before him.
because that is what companies do. Pay 135 people just for some pictures on social media. Idiot.
No wonder that Prince of Persia remake was moved to a different studio.
imagine the smell
when will durkadurkas stop ruining games? I mean I don't give a shit about ubi, but it could be my favorite studio tomorrow.
Good
I hope they die in a fire and burn in hell for eternity.
Maybe then Rayman will finally get a new game.
Ubisoft had an annual franchise in asscreed, but its not CoD or anything. The games are so big and so risky relying on single player games is not great when you have gacha and other Gaas games making billions and sucking the air out of the room.
The industry simply changed in a way that didnt benefit ubisofts model or IP's
ubisoft is a very poorly run company
they have thousands upon thousands of employees, WAY too many for the sort of output they have, for every necessary position they probably got a dozen redundant ones
with covid and the work from home crap shit only got worse, shit is hard to manage even with small teams let alone with the sort of bloat going on at ubisoft
AC peaked with the second game. I don't count Black Flag since that was literally just a pirate game with a AC skin thrown on it.
i wanted to buy scott pilgrim on steam but these c**ts force you to install their shitty launcher with it. frick them.
Good, they ruined open world games with their unoriginal and braindead mechanics. There's a reason why everyone talks about a game having "Ubisoft towers" as a bad thing. I haven't played an Ubisoft game since Ass Creed Origins, and I got so bored in that game I could only stomach 6 hours of it.
>they ruined open world games
Nobody forced other studios to do the same thing...
good, ubisoft have been dogshit for well over a decade with ease, they do not deserve to still be afloat. half of shitty game corpos don't deserve to be afloat frankly
Good.
>Ubisoft is dying
>Someone might take and revive the Tom Clancy IPs
>this man has lost all of his limbs and his penis in a tragic snow shoveling accident
Poor guy
Diversity is our strength.
thank god
The thought of spending another minute playing a game like Assassin's Creed Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla or Far Cry 3/4/5/6 genuinely makes me feel nauseous. They stopped innovating and making interesting games about 8 years ago. The last good games they released were Black Flag, Rainbow Six Siege, Steep, and ANNO 1800.
I can actually pinpoint the moment I realized all of their games were built off the same exact same framework when I noticed that Steep and The Division shared a lot of the same outfits/customization options and animations. There was specifically a backpack that was identical in both games that moved the same exact way when the character moved. And it's only gotten worse since then.
Did Ubisoft ever remove the DRM on their DLC stuff when they shut down servers last year or are those lost forever?
that's what they get for fricking up the XIII remake
Tencent buyout when?
>Tencent buyout when?
Never a french media company has been trying to hostile take over the company for almost a decade they own like 15-20% of the shares
The reason why ubisoft no longer takes risks or makes fun games is because of said company if stock prices fall these dudes buy shares slowly gaining more ownership and power being able to force wtv homosexualree and cringe into development
If they gain complete ownership of the company they are going to gut it for profit selling off every studio but the main 3 and sell off IPs for an insane profit its rather sad and odd i'd be cool if the quebec government step in and went hey so the company might be from france but our funding and workforce is what built this company so frick off no you cant kill a massive quebec company that built an empire while as always you frickers were lazy and corrupt taking all the profits and glory would be even funnier if somehow they nationalized the company it would unironically be for the best
>ubisoft makes a shit product because their stock price would tank if they made a good product and they would get bought out
>tech/media stock tanking post covid
Wow how shocking now lets see another company try and do a leveraged buy out in this market without committing suicide within 2 years
>accountant*
ie book keeper not a CPA/CA/etc nor do you have a MBA if you think a fricking fortune 500 companies corporate tax is the same as basic business tax
>post covid
>started tanking when there were still worldwide lockdowns and entertainment earnings went wild
L O L
You're literally moronic if that's what you got out of that super easy example a 6 year old should get. I never said anything about tax rates you fricking Black person.
2021 in a first world country was post covid my dude also ubisoft had heavy debt really heavy debt and are stretched thin as frick with like 30 something studios in 30 countries not every tech stock is fricking facebook
>but our funding and workforce is what built this company so frick off no you cant kill a massive quebec company that built an empire
Ubisoft Montreal is the first major AAA studio that introduced diversity hire and trannies into the video game industry and actively pushed for it. If anything you should be ashamed, not proud.
ubi quebec was and still is total cancer, what the frick are you talking about?
ubisoft in the late 90's early 00's before PoP released all sorts of crazy shit and published a lot of niche games
They went to shit the moment they started milking the AC franchise.
ubi quebec was founded in 2005, you're confusing them with montreal who admittedly were good but turned to shit too eventually
>quebec city
>ever relevant
By Quebec I meant montreal like any sane person does just like how ubisoft is a Quebec* company and not a french one like the leeches claim to be more important in both cases considering all the frogs made was rayman which only has 2 good games two very sexy 2D animated games that will never see a third being made
Ubisoft has been dead for a long time
I hate how every single time there was something in a game that worked they just copied it to everything else.
Assassin's Creed, The Division, Ghost Recon, Far Cry are all the same fricking game but with a different coat of paint these days.
Siege has its own niche, same with For Honor.
Beyond that they're just starting and cancelling like a million BR games that all fail because they have no idea what they're doing.
They're trying to bring back Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia but those have failure written all over them.
And I also blame ubisoft for the absolute fricking shit standard they've seemingly set for open world games that most AAA devs seem to copy. It's like a fricking list: X enemy camps, Y enemy strongholds, Z number collectables that all play out the same way.
For all the shit people (myself included) give Bethesda at least with Skyrim or Oblivion I can see a dungeon location and name on an online map and there's a decent chance I'll remember the general layout for it, what made it unique. You could put a gun to my head and ask me to do the same with Ubisoft's games and I'd tell you to stop wasting your time and shoot me.
Ubisoft is the best example of a company where creativity goes to die.
Nature is healing
How did the company that claimed Valhalla making $1 billion in revenue like last year managed to be floundering this hard
I also forgot to mentioned them popularizing the term "Ubisoft style open-world" and still found themselves in the gutter. Complacency really just got the best of them after all.
Because they spend a ton on diversity hire salaries and useless studios.
Their net income is something like €50 million. Every year they risk their existence so they locked themselves in this cycle of yearly copypasted goyslop to keep themselves afloat.
Ubisoft Montreal alone has over 4000 employees.
Didn't believe you and sholy shit. 100M net income yearly is a good year for Ubi. What the frick are they doing?
20 000 employees, about a quarter in Canada alone.
Electronic Arts has barely 10 000 employees and generally makes $1 to 5 billion in net revenues.
Square Enix has about 5000 employees and makes around $200 million in net revenues
Activision Blizzard, about as many as EA (10k) and something like $3 to 4 billion in net revenues
Ubisoft is pozzed, plagued by diversity hires, that need to have studios everywhere on the planet while not selling a lot of games to begin with. They put themselves in that position.
Bear in mind that Ubishit is the only publisher that didn't have its net income boom as a result of lockdowns. In fact, they barely recovered from 2019 when they lost 124 million lmao.
>20,000 employees
This number makes me hypothesize that if you pay each of those employees 30k a year, the company would have to folk ovee 600,000,000 million just for their entire staff alone. Makes you wonder how the frick are they still keeping the lights on when being the most staffed up company in the industry
In Quebec with tax breaks 0 interest loans and a bunch of other fraudulent credit schemes
Trust the plan. This is kinda like epic believing 2027 will be their year.
Good.
Might buy some Ubisoft shares in hopes of them getting bought out by someone with bigger pockets. Worked for me with Activision too.
did you get a lot of money bro
Tencent will buy them. It's an easy bet to make.
the avatar leak was kind of interesting. i'm not ready for them to die until that comes out.
If they're not gonna make Rayman games anymore they should be killed
No point without Ancel. Rabbids and Mario are all you will get, he will cameo.
Ancel had almost nothing to do with Rayman 3, good Rayman games without him can be made. Also that Rayman 1 fan game was great
About damn time
Bankruptcy: A Ubisoft Original
>they still cant make a game from the mechanic introduced in ac3 and fleshed out in black gay
L-M-A-O
Huh.
Get woke, go broke I guess.
Apparently they've been trying to merge or be acquired and nobody wants them.
They're going to die.
>making games is a rough business
no, it's a really easy business. what makes it rough is you've got yvies the ultra israelite in charge and everyone clamouring for infinite growth and infinite profits and never actually satisfied to just make a good game and make a reasonable return. no remaking things to appeal to the widest possible normie quota, no infinite dlc israeliteing, no microtransactions, no games as a service for infinite trickling income, just a good fricking product. doesn't happen
this goes for most companies, you can tell by how fast they tried to jump on nfts for example just how money hungry they are
If you think it's so easy you are insanely naive
Hundreds of gaming companies either went broke or change focus to something other than gaming in the 90s
Gaming has a low turnover compared to other industries. That's why predatory tactics like microtransactions have become so common
>buy ubi
>layoff diversity hires
>make new Splinter Cell with 3y dev time
>it will sell like hot cakes
>???
>profit
>stealth game
>selling in 202x
They will be bought by someone else
they won't die
probably tencent
Why would you cancel games if you weren't making money? Isn't making and selling games how you make money in the first place?
>spend 100M on some bullshit
>realise it's never going to earn it back
>needs another 70M of money poured into to have it actually be slightly good
So you cancel it.
Then it's a project that never should've been started in the first place and has nothing to do with anything.
Yes, because shit is that easy. Just don't frick up, yells Anon in hindsight.
You're supposed to hire people who don't frick up in the first place when you're dealing with large amounts of money. We're slowly approaching the root of the issue here anon.
Sometimes, it takes years before a frick up is noticed or even happens.
It happens the moment you hire someone with a business degree who hasn't stayed at a single company more than a few years.
I just want a proper Splinter Cell game for frick's sake. They can put out a frick ton of those garbage sports game, but not one Splinter Cell?
They put Sam Fisher in Rainbow Six Siege, now slurp it up
>Game with a literal troony
No thanks
AAAAAAAAAAAND NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW KWABOTY!!!!
I like Just Dance
go woke
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
schizos... schizos everywhere
I'm sure all the money they're spending on diversity hires and infinite meetings hasn't impacted their bottom line at all, anon.
hot take: ubisoft never made a good game aside from rayman 2
Don't get my hopes up.
Good. Also, this isn't going to solely be ubi, though they deserve to languish alone.
This is but a domino in the coming failure of... well, everything.
Good luck, anons!!
No it's just what happens when companies attribute rising profits to their competence instead of random happenstance. Digital entertainment went through the roof in 2020, and now that it's coming back down to a normal level again companies are shitting the bed because they thought the growth would go on forever. They're all morons.
What the frick gamefreak I mean yeah post gen 5 has been an abortion but EA has been voted the worst company overall in america how many times? and how many years in a row.
what the frick is the context to this? fricking gamefreak releases a game every 3-5 years
what the frick is South Korea's problem?
>Worst korea
>Rare
>SandBlack personland
>Rare
B A S E D but confusing the seeth of nuts and bolts is still strong what has rare even made other than sea of thives in the past decade
How old is this that Capcom is this hated and Rare is even listed (I assume because of Nuts and Bolts)
This must be some 2010 shit
can't be that old since it would have been EA all around at the time
Nah EA hate peaked around 2014-2019
>Nah EA hate peaked around 2014-2019
Top kek stop shitposting and finish up making madden 2026 and fifa 2028 we need it by next friday or else
Well you can see a switch on the image so its not "that" old. Still what the frick is the context it makes no sense. Why the frick isn't EA covering the globe. In what reality would this not be the case.
Based America and Australia ana UK
Based Columbia and BASED Nigeria
Why no EA?
>China
>Relic
Is this about the ruskies in CoH2?
Is? Are you living in 2007?
I find it hilarious that it's been delayed so long that people stopped caring about pirate based media in the mean time. They should just keep it delayed till pirates are popular again.
I will never ever ever forgive them for that first watch dogs trailer, they can die for all i care
>Ubisoft is dying.
It just means the western led globohomosexual is dying and the Russia/China new world order will supercede it
>russia
>new world order
all they posses is the worlds greatest hiv ridden rape/loot army who cant do shit but rape and loot
good riddance
and leave Splintercell and the rest of Tom Clancy on my desk
>Turn all your popular franchises into soulless conveyor belt garbage.
>Eventually even normalgays get sick of it
>You're now left with no audiences because you neglected the people who made you popular in the first place.
Good, get fricked Ubisoft. The developer I loved in the 2000's is long gone.
Can't believe they are still trying to make Skull & Bones a thing. I lost all interest when they made that announcement about slavery, racism and white supremacy in their pirate game.
If they have to sell IPs who would most likely get the AssCreed IP? Splinter Cell? Rayman?
What if Nintendo bought Rayman?
Why in the frick would anyone buy that shit when they could just make their own new games? Desperately clinging onto IPs is what makes companies go under in the first place.
>What if Nintendo bought Rayman?
>A new origins/legends game animated in Japan
Please god let this happen ill do anything you ask of.
>implying they would spend money like that after Wario Land Shake It underperformed.
You're cute anon.
Some mega company like Embracer Group will buy it. Nintendo doesn't want/need Rayman.
>Killed the Silent Hunter franchise the year they started using Uplay and DRMs
Get fricked, now we have uboat on gog.
Imagine making fun of China when your country is literally run by blacks lol
You mean israelites
What was the last good Ubisoft game? All they ever make now is assassin's creed and farcry.
>crank out an asscreed every year for 15 years
>turn them for 20-30 hour adventures into 80-100 hour collectithons
>surprised that everyone burnt out and stopped buying their games
They completely deserve it.
Guess Beyond Good and Evil is never coming out, AGAIN
Now expect Square Enix to follow them in the gutter
>It's the old “people don’t hate NFTs in games, they just don’t understand them,” philosophy that Ubisoft once used before gamers rejected their forays into web3 so roundly they don’t even talk about it any more.
>The reason for this focus is because Matsuda reiterates that Square Enix has multiple blockchain games in development, and will be starting up even more this year. He hopes “blockchain games will transition to a new stage of growth in 2023.”

Its hilarious how tech illiterate the japanese really are. People think Japan is some tech paradise when in reality they're still stuck in the early 00's because boomers are moronic are refuse to learn and since they're the managers everything stays the same till they leave then tech can advance 3-5 years.
>It’s honestly astonishing. It’s true, web3, crypto, the blockchain and NFTs are not dead as a concept despite recent declines, but in terms of their integration in video games, it’s been nothing short of disaster after disaster. Anything even tangentially related to NFTs from traditional publishers has been roasted so hard it’s made these companies feel like they’ve touched hot stoves. In the wider NFT game space, we saw the utter collapse of the game that was held up as a paragon of the potential of web3 gaming, Axie Infinity. Square Enix is living in a fantasy world where none of this seems to have happened, and believes it’s definitely a great idea to throw lots of money down this hole while selling off studios like Eidos and Crystal Dynamics which made actual video games.
>Good luck, Matsuda, you’re going to need it.
Hum, yes, say your early goodbyes to Square Enix.
Good. I haven't played any of their shovelware since they started implementing that Uplay crap.
Anyone looking forward Squareshit in 2023 deserves to get their money stolen. They haven't released anything good in the last decade and treat the PC platform like a used condom.
>Treat the PC platform like a used condom.
JapBlack folk for you.
>NFTs BAD because twitter said so muh monkey jpegs muh environmental impact abloo bloo bloo
>muh generic mascot platformer
>muh dungeon crawler snorefe-I mean, turn based strategy game because nobody actually cares about anything but the heroes subseries
>NFTs BAD because twitter said so
NFTs bad because cosmetic DLCs have always been a plague and NFT integration always planned to start from there to consolidate existing cancers in the industry, you contrarian castrated homosexual.
>verbal diarrhea
You don't even know what an NFT is. You're only proving that fact by still thinking it's a jpeg or cosmetic item.
Ah yes we've got an NFT goldenboy in this thread lads. It's not like Ubishit explained what NFTs in game would mean.
>more verbal diarrhea
Why is it none of you can ever do anything more than accuse anyone who disagrees with you of being from some omnipresent evil group?
>accuse anyone who disagrees with you of being from some omnipresent evil group?
The frick?
>playing stupid
Watch as your fellow morons prove my point:
You said that to me, so I expect you to quote wherever I accused you of "being from some omnipresent evil group".
Sir please beist kind and tell much which coin will rug sir please I need to bi new toilet so family can store food in it
Also sir can I offer you the greatest and latest airdroped totally not a scam project
Oof dont worry bro Logan paul will totally release to the game and you'll not only get your 200k back but itll moon to 20 million
99% of blockchain tech is fricking garbage and the whole system is cancer due to stupid Black folk thinking of max profits in the shortest time the only reason BTC isn't at zero is because people have dropped billions on it and are doing any and everything to fleece idoits to keep it stablized
Give me proof of stake NFTs for my games Ubisoft. Let me resell it. Anything else is worthless.
>You don't even know what an NFT is.
Good morning, Ubishit executive, attracted to this thread like flies by warm dog shit?
>no splinter cell for 10 years because they cant figure out how to make it open world
I hope they die and someone else gets some of their IP licenses
>Fall for the meme of "open world" games
>Go under
lmao
They didn't really "fall for it" they basically made it what it is, but yeah it's no wonder they're failing now.
KWAB
>literally rip your games off every other online store and give a big middle finger to your customers.
>wonder why no one wanted to buy your shit games from a shit platform.
>killed rayman
>raped and killed might & magic
even after all ubisoft higherups die the slow and gruesome deaths they deserve I will never stop being angry
>unironically shilling for NFTs
>Ubisoft went from making Tom Clancy and Prince of Persia kino to pumping out troony creeds by the bushels
Seriously, what the frick happened? If Chaos Theory came out today, there's no way they would have included the line "Win one for the Gipper." If Prince of Persia came out now, he would be sub-saharan african and a female.
Basically allowing Montreal to take the leads as their main studio and to focus on open world games rather than smaller games. Their french studios are still putting out gold it's just they havent gotten the same budget and time as before.
FALSE France has more control and forces Montreal into the ass mines refusing games and projects constantly I'd say over half the studio is working on shit that gets dropped or funding taken away its moronic
if PoP released today we wouldn't have that shahdee coomer kino
People joke about square but ubisoft is in the worse place possible
Their games not only are copies of each other, but also need to sell 10x more than Square enix because they have 20000 employees, it is impossible for them to keep this up
I wonder if someone will buy them
SE will, unfortunately, not go under because they are a massive publisher that deals with anime, manga, LNs, movies, etc. They might eventually decide making more FFs isn't profitable, but they won't just go under. I'm not sure what else Ubisoft has other than games.
Square even with its terrible business decisions is smarter than ubisoft by a lot
The only AAA game of them that bombed in the last 10 years was just avengers, and it wasnt even made by their japanese studios
Most of their shovelware games that bomb are just published by them, like babylons fall, balan, the quiet man
The dont waste billions on projects that wont profit
Literally every game and all meddling edios was working on got fricked because of SE I was told they would be forced to start over again because some cuck at SE would not be happy about X and then blamed the company every time a game didnt sell destroying the games/company to prove western titles are worth jack shit and now that those boomers got outted they are pulling a 180 going whoa wtf japan alone cant sustenance us who woulda thunk damn we really need profits hey i know lets drop 1 billion of a movie studio and another 600k on a trash movie that looks worse than toy story 2 with 30 times the budget
Im not saying square didnt make any mistakes, but it is obvious how the people responsible for managing those branches was different than the ones dealing with IPs like FF and KH. This is why they constantly put money in those tomb raider games and had unrealistic expectations because it was a western ip
And there is reports how even the own managers of eidos were terrible and didnt communicate shit with their own employees
From what I heard it was a shitshow because SE would just constantly b***h and managment kept playing musical chairs trying to please SE but would have to crunch even tho they would be super ahead of schedule they were also forced to blow a lot of advertising like a lot and these funds were for game dev not extra
People knew to stay far the frick away from the studio due to the moronation like yeah tomb raider an IP from the 90's that no one cares about is totally going to sell 35 million copies on 7 platforms
Those guys at square just had no idea of how to use these ips, most of them were famous long ago and others were niche.
Something they believed that could be fixed with money
Btw, those studios are located in the most expensive places ever, imagine how much they costed yearly for square
>Those guys at square just had no idea of how to use these ips
You mean no idea how to make games.
>Btw, those studios are located in the most expensive places ever, imagine how much they costed yearly for square
There was a reason why the first thing Embracer did when they bought those studios was close one of them
Not as a company, but they'll likely reduce their video game activity by a lot. They sold 3 of their main studios last summer.
Now only Square Enix Europe remains to make video games and a few independant developers they sometimes work with.
Selling their western branches was probably the best option for Square, they simply couldnt manage those teams
It was a terrible deal for both sides, a moneysink for square
I mean, I only shit on SE for their games, I don't care about the rest. If they can leave the industry with Ubishit I won't be sad.
I like square because they are like the most talented devs stuck with the most moronic suits, so it is an incredible feat and interesting to watch
I will say one thing, the worse curse a company can get is get too big, see what is happening with ubisoft right now. Assassins creed being succesful was a curse in the long run
Ubisoft got laughed out of the room asking people to buy them because they have too many employees and their IPs arent worth anything. That's why nobody wants to buy them.
albatross is good luck until you kill it, though
It is a nightmare, Square Enix has 1/4 of the number of employees of Ubisoft and they release 10x more games
There is no reason to buy them, it will more more of a problem than advantage
This person would need to change how the whole company works from the ground
So, who ever buys Ubisoft would have to purge 90% of the workers, and pay them for a few months. And in exchange, they get a few IPs that were already ran into the ground?
Begs the question of why you'd even buy them at all if you need to fire everyone then find talent to hire. Just skip the middleman and hire the talent under your own banner.
To scoop up the good IP's
Is assassins creed even unique enough nowadays? i feel like most companies can do one assassins creed-like but better than ubisoft now
They have just what... prince of persia and splinter cell?
IP is the most overrated shit. Most people just want good games, not IPs.
>IP is the most overrated shit
this
any book nerd can churn out an "original IP" for a token salary. Mass Effect printed money, and that setting is as generic as it fricking gets. Ironically the lesson was lost on the producers who are now desperately trying to keep that franchise on life support
IP makes things easier because people for sure get attached to brand names, but at the end of the day you still need to do the hard work and put competent people on those titles
The best case in point will always be Minecraft.
>New "IP"
>Cost frick all to develop (at least in the beginning)
>Literally sold for billions in cash
Small teams of talented people who actually want to make something cool will always mog mega corporations when it comes to profit.
I dont think these indies are good examples because the ratio is 1/100000
People just look at the success and not how many fail on the way
But i agree they can find a way with new ips
Ubisoft ran all their ips into the ground. Rayman isn't worth the effort of buying their company for billions, just to purge 70%+ of the work force.
Yes that's why they got laughed at. Their most valuable IP is assassin's creed and looking at how well Ghost of Tsushima did without the IP brand literally anyone can make a historical open world game and get just as much sales without any issues. What else does Ubisoft have? Tom clancy games that have already been run to the ground?
Crazy how they have something so unique like prince of persia but chose to keep making assassins creed like a generic rpg and tons of fps games
>Their games not only are copies of each other, but also need to sell 10x more than Square enix because they have 20000 employees
The company is just too bloated and they need so sell an absurd amount every time rehashing the same game
Even with some assassins creed games selling 20 mil it still isnt enough because of how big they are
No wonder Ubishit started releasing games on steam last month.
>Ubisoft is dying.
about fricking time
>surprisingly
kek
>b-but we're too big to fail!
lmao
I hope mobile and online games are next. If anything I'm surprised people still willingly get scammed like this.
These idiot studios have dozens of writers and "narrative designers" just cut the fat.
I only wish they had died 20 years ago
God I hope it's true, they're the ones who introduced the "yearly open world rehash" principle
Wheres Splinter Cell
Wheres Rayman
Wheres Driver
How about making something other than generic open world games
>less disposable income
>people are more picky on what they buy
wow, it's like selling yearly overpriced garbage made your games not truly valuable after all
Good
Ubisoft just dropped Scott Pilgrim on Steam. It still requires Uplay and has Denuvo. Seems like the suits making decisions at Ubisoft have their heads firmly up their own asses.
They also have blizzard levels of frickery happening there but the suits are too protected for anything to change.
A shitshow
They probably paid a special permanent licence to denuvo to have it in all their titles without having to pay yearly fees for each individual game. Same for uplay they have to keep maintaining anyway.
Ubishit trapped itself.
Yves Guillesmot said back in 2012 that "95% of ubisoft titles played on PC are pirated copies" and never brought any statistical argument to back his claim.
This is why they are so aggressive on DRMs and denuvo.
What's even funnier is that their net income has always remained low, even after implementing denuvo, proving that his arguments are full of shit.
what happened in 2019-2020? covid should've boosted their revenues, no?
Denuvo was in like 35 released titles in 2022. Ubisoft represents a decent chunk of those. They are literally funding Denuvo and paying them millions for nothing.
Good.
EA and Activision next pls.
this reminds me of the shitters on Ganker that celebrated the death of EA with "tortanic" and shit
you people are like Black folk trashing a store/ looting shit, not understanding the consequences of your actions
ill take annual far cry/ AC games over the shovelware Ganker has been shilling the past 4 years
??
Just say you like eating generic shit every year
What's the fricking consequence of not buying Ubi games? I haven't played AC since Revelations and I've never played a Far Cry game.
How does this affect me?
sure thing kid
you literally consume nothing but early access trash on steam so your opinion is worthless
I have never paid money for early access shit in my life, who the frick pays for less than half a game?
Why are you projecting this hard? You an Ubishill?
You know what is the funniest thing, is how they believe how the reason for their failure is because they cant compete with mega-brands
When the point is how everyone cant take the same format in every game
Far Cry is the same shit for 4 games at this point
>they believe how the reason for their failure is because they cant compete with mega-brands
Oh please, that's just what they outwardly say. The suits are fully aware that they're shit at their jobs and are just riding out their salary until they get axed.
Ghost of tsushima is the best example how a new ip can make success with the same style of assassins creed
But they really believe the problem is Spiderman stealing their sales
It was only successful because of the marketing. Don't kid yourself
Disagree
Ghost of tsushima is the most i've been interested in that tipe of game since assassins creed revelations
That's just because you're a gullible little homosexual who fell for the marketing schemes.
The rest of us aren't sheep like you
For sure, you are so smart anon
Im sure everyone that knows you take you as example of great human being
Yes, I am beloved and appreciated
Unlike trash like you
I got into GoT riding the Sekiro train and I still enjoyed the hell out of both.
Marketing is so much less effective than marketers want the person signing their cheques to believe it is lmao
Seethe
You would have never heard about this game if Sony marketers didn't shill this game to every entity in existence
Was it a good game receiving marketing, or was it marketed because it was a good game?
It was a shitty 2/10 game that only got popular due to marketing
Like 99% of AAAs
Do you honestly think that 2/10 games get huge marketing campaigns? Why try and polish a turd? Maybe the game was just better than you want to give it credit for.
>Do you honestly think that 2/10 games get huge marketing campaigns?
yes, like all AAAs
All of them are trash
People were begging for AC in Japan for a decade+, moron
>astroturfing game designers wanted AC in Japan
ftfy
You dont get it
HE didnt like it so everyone else is wrong
>everyone else
lmao the two morons who fell for the marketing is "everyone else"?
Stop kidding yourself
Everyone hates The ghost of Tsushita
>You're not having REAL fun
You are not
You are a simple sheep who fell for the marketing ploys of Sony
It's the truth
>Everyone hates The ghost of Tsushita
lol
There's no point replying, he's just one of those "trolls".
>"Yes im terminally online in my bubble "
