Anyone who has ever played an RPG knows that it is quite typical for them to lack all but the 3 most stereotypical Black hairstyles: cornrows, Afro, lineup. Not only did Hogwarts Legacy provide a variety of different hair styles, but they also put a level of detail into the textures that is arguably unheard of. Anyone who has ever played an RPG knows that it is quite typical for them to lack all but the 3 most stereotypical Black hairstyles: cornrows, Afro, lineup. Not only did Hogwarts Legacy provide a variety of different hair styles, but they also put a level of detail into the textures that is arguably unheard of. A huge win for Black gamers, and a huge win for representation in gaming.
I may end up playing it in like 3 years from now on when everyone forgot about it and it goes on sale because honestly I've no interest in the game at this point. And maybe never will unless I end up having enough free time that I feel like just wasting it away on something I haven't tried playing before.
