>Stormcast Heads Male >Stormcast Heads Female >Mazarall >Skaarac >Vorgaroth and Scalloc >Shar'tor >Fimirach Noble
8 Releases since AoS.
At some point they actually intended to do a Fimir army, with the Fimir wizard being half-sculpted I think? But they abandoned it pretty quickly... I assume when the previous director died and their decision to make The Old World afterwards.
40k plane. From what I understand in universe its used as a small cargo/passenger plane and was pretty useless on the tabletop as, you know, its not actually meant for combat.
How do I know you don't play scenarios at all?
Throwing non-combatants and civilian assets into the objective mix is the bread and butter of narrative and campaign style play, or even just imaginative one-shot games.
Crack open the old Rogue Trader book some time and see what I mean.
What's the deal with forge world anyway? >woaah 800pts epic Flytitanic Gunfortress >it looks like some shit you made out of lego at 12yo >no seriously it's just a fucking box with wings >that will by 499$+ tip
None of it was even usable because they didn't maintain up to date rules for any of it, so it's not surprising they didn't sell anything or that they got rid of it.
uhhh Forge World just got rid of their entire Age of Sigmar range without announcing it
Will probably happen to the 40k stuff too. FW is basically Heresy only with a smattering of Necro and Middle-Earth. When was the last time 40k even got a FW release?
overpriced niche models on a niche website for a niche game?
yeah, no wonder they got rid of it. Horus Heresy is literally the only thing people buy from them, and maybe necromunda characters since they don't break the bank
I’m impressed that a thread that’s even just a factual observation can still manage to be this shit on nu/tg/.
Regardless, even if it has been anemic and overcosted for so long now it still saddens me to see this happen. It’s not really a material loss since 3D printing has completely rendered it obsolete, but FW was a holdover from a better time at GW. Now they’re now one step closer to having their life support pulled entirely.
I hope GW keeps jacking up the price to gouge their retarded pay pigs. They deserve much much worse.
Best thing is they will do it again, they always do.
you know I never really thought of it like that. You're right. I hope GW destroys itself with its own cruelty.
But they definitely made some back-alley deal with a devil for this kind of fanaticism, and the TG scene is stuck with them forever.
Sometimes molds break, and for whatever reason FW doesn't keep the masters around to make new molds when they do. That's been the usual excuse at least.
But molds break when used, not when in storage in a cupboard. So shouldn't it be self-balancing - if you remake a mold that broke, it will have similar value regardless of whether the model sells well, because if it sells well, you will need to replace it again correspondingly sooner.
I read that the molds are giant and encompass parts based on being efficient with space, each model doesn't necessarily have it's own specific molds. There are pictures of the molds and machines somewhere out there from late 90s early 2000s. They're like 3ft diameter cylinders.
That's metal spincast moulds, resin uses rubber silicone moulds that tear and move during production more easily. Much more effort that throwing a spincast mould on a wheel and spinning some hot pewter into it.
Depends on the process, some molds are made of dense rubber that can grow brittle and crack if not stored perfectly, especially over the course of years and decades.
They had an age of sigmar range?
I think they did some resin Stormcast heads, for if you weren't satisfied with the amount of black women you get in a regular box
Based
Seethe chud gooner pedo
It was WHFB holdovers mostly from the monster arcanum like the colossal cave sqiug, the rouge idol, dread maw, a dragon, etc etc
fuck off
?
Checked, based, redpilled
Rolling. 1 is for twins.
who the fuck asked for this? who even makes stormcast without helmets? theyre basically constructs why would you want to see a face under the armor?
Actually coping and seething.
say the dude who always doomfagging in every thread
What the fuck are you talking about?
You're patheti and insane, take meds.
>Buck status: Broken
The only AoS-specific releases I can recall were the big Khorne dragon and the Khorne mutant that was repurposed from the unfinished K'daai Destroyer
chaos dwarfs iirc
Weren't those released for the Tamurkhan: Throne of Chaos book though?
no the Chaos Dwarf stuff was taken down two years ago at least
Most of that shit was ancient and busted WHFB holdovers.
>Age of Sigmar range
You mean those WHFB leftovers they put up for sale until they were gone?
They were selling out old shit until it run out. They haven't made anything new
>their entire Age of Sigmar
Literally 4 models
>Stormcast Heads Male
>Stormcast Heads Female
>Mazarall
>Skaarac
>Vorgaroth and Scalloc
>Shar'tor
>Fimirach Noble

Plague toads and arvus lighter as well, shame.
Plague Toads were not released after AoS' release. Not sure what the Arvus Lighter is.

>Not meant for combat
>Useless on tabletop

Crack open the old Rogue Trader book some time and see what I mean.
So much has been lost.
>>Shar'tor
they got americans in aos?
What's the deal with forge world anyway?
>woaah 800pts epic Flytitanic Gunfortress
>it looks like some shit you made out of lego at 12yo
>no seriously it's just a fucking box with wings
>that will by 499$+ tip
>Making shit cheaper than what you sell it a lot with huge mark up
>Enjoy free money from idiots
You some sort of shitwit commie?
they're preparing for the announcement of sigmar titans
None of it was even usable because they didn't maintain up to date rules for any of it, so it's not surprising they didn't sell anything or that they got rid of it.
Now if only GW would do the same with their AoS range.
Keep seething, little boy
Will probably happen to the 40k stuff too. FW is basically Heresy only with a smattering of Necro and Middle-Earth. When was the last time 40k even got a FW release?
>200 buckerinos for 0,05$ worth of unpainted plastic.
The keks kek me.
disingenuous gay and you know it
>Selling Fast!

As someone whose friends are trying to get me into Warhammer, what is the difference between Forgeworld and Gamesworkshop?
FW is resin, GW is plastic
FW is way more expensive than GW for little reason
Forge world is a separate team that makes bigger and disproportionally more expensive models of quality that was good 15 years ago
I’m impressed that a thread that’s even just a factual observation can still manage to be this shit on nu/tg/.

What was the MSRP on the Troggoth Hag?
Around $110 I think
110 USD, seriously? Damn that shit was overpriced
And yet still cheaper than comparable monsters GW sells today
I hope GW keeps jacking up the price to gouge their retarded pay pigs. They deserve much much worse.
Best thing is they will do it again, they always do.

Recasters rejoice
finally its over.
I couldn't care less about AoS, but some of the FW Necromunda models look pretty neat.
the fw necromunda range is amazing
they even made water guilders
Excuse my lack of basic knowledge of the field but, why do they ever take any model down? What's the active cost involved in keeping a model up?
Sometimes molds break, and for whatever reason FW doesn't keep the masters around to make new molds when they do. That's been the usual excuse at least.
The stuff that gets axed may just not sell enough to justify making a new mold when the old one wears out.
But molds break when used, not when in storage in a cupboard. So shouldn't it be self-balancing - if you remake a mold that broke, it will have similar value regardless of whether the model sells well, because if it sells well, you will need to replace it again correspondingly sooner.

Depends on the process, some molds are made of dense rubber that can grow brittle and crack if not stored perfectly, especially over the course of years and decades.
And nothing of value was lost.
Hey the troll hag was great
imagine even giving a single shit about forge world now that 3d printing is so mainstream
But they look like shit compared to traditional sculpting.
>Forge World just got rid of their entire Age of Sigmar range without announcing it
Good, maybe they can put some fucking decent sculpts out now rather than having stock on the shelf you no one had any interest in buying anyway.
I’m hoping for a rerelease of the mammoth and land ships
Soon.
