there's no lore
there's no world building
there's no canon
there's no consistency
Gamefreak is hiring Indians to make games without caring about connection between games
you are literally goyslopping low budget shovelware
You assuming because they didn't appear in B|DSP = they ded doesn't mean that's what actually was written then Game Freak changed it. You just made an ass out of yourselves assuming you knew the skinny, when you don't even know the devs' native language.
I don’t know why anyone would care about the lore since shitfreak dropped connections to the real world early on. Pokémon 1 and 2 were somewhat edgy in that regard, which made them compelling. Anything beyond advanced generation is saccharine pandering to “the children” because god forbid anything slightly controversial in a global corporate brand (besides racism because that’s totally acceptable).
The lore is they never died out entirely clearly, even if they became extinct in Hisui (mirroring the fact animals go extinct in the wild, yet persist in captivity due to human intervention in the real world).
But Ganker needed to attack Legends for being the game Game Freak spent their time on instead of making mega Diamond/Pearl the ORAS-clone like they'd deluded themselves they were getting, so needed to label Legends as non-canon to handle reality. That extended to claiming officially-added new pokémon were somehow going to forever remain locked to what they called a spin-off.
The pokemon that were actually caught way back in time stayed preserved in stasis in the pokeballs they were caught in, never aging or growing sick.
The balls they were kept in may have changed, and Gamefreak should introduce a mechanic where you can switch pokeballs for a pokemon you've caught already to canonize it. People with balltism would be so satisfied.
you almost saved it but ball-switching has never been shown to be a thing, and the original wood ones would surely be subject to decay and malfunction and thus captive death
>what's the lore
No one ever said they were gone in game, and guess what? They weren't.
Youtuber gays have been proved wrong with their fanfics, many such cases.
That they stayed alive in Sinnoh, obviously. >Pokemon bloodline chosen by Arceus itself and living with religious humans that revere them
Yeah like they totally died out. Lmao.
We can't know because now they don't even give entries to every form.
Gamefreak can't even keep track of their own lore. Pathetic.
They never said they went extinct.

Fuck Pokémon.
Gen 1 and 2 were already sacharine pandering for children, you just haven't consumed any media. Otherwise you'd also know that a franchise can have lore without it being basedo n the real world.
Basically, yes. Perrin says Ursaluna are "uncommon" when talking about the species in general, and that's the absolute most you get.
Likewise, White-Striped Basculin are found in Kitakami, but no particular fanfare or details are given about them.
The Pokemon were never extinct in the first place, that was some dumbass headcanon Poketubers came up with, and Ganker, being full of underage children, just took that as fact.
Pokemon is a series of retcons, when a Pokemon gets a cross gen evo or regional, that Pokemon isn't newly discovered, it just always existed.
Hisuian forms are Pokemon that were discovered in Hisui, that's literally it, out of all of them, the only one that actually makes sense to be extinct is fucking H-Electrode and even that's prolly just hanging out somewhere.
That is an option, the other is Temporal distortions as Pokemon Legends Arceus had that would bring pokemon from the current Era into Hisui. Pokemon Masters EX (a spinoff I know) had Adaman and Irida end up in the future due to a temporal distortion and it threatening to end the world, so its possible that Palkia and Dialga sometimes have a giggle and decide to move some guys from one era to the other
Why would they have gone extinct? Do people really think in future gens you’re still going to have to transfer all the way back to PLA to get their mons?
>Did we say there was only 151 Pokemon? Actually we discovered more new Pokemon in a region a short surf ride away from us. Also they're in Kanto too
You should just accept at this point that any "new" Pokemon will just retroactively be considered part of the world. Kitakami has a bunch of Pokemon not native to Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh despite being part of Pokejapan.
If they can bring back Pokemon that have been extinct for 60 million years, there's no reason why they'd have an issue with a species that's only been gone a few hundred and still has modern-day ancestors.
and yet I need to use external software to have those pokemon in the game because god forbid they add a mechanic to find extinct pokemon in the pokemon games featuring past and future-themed pokemon
They never went extinct. GF just retconned DPPt/BDSP, or the Hisuian Pokémon were conveniently never encountered by the player character in those games.
>game contradicts a headcanon that was never backed up by official sources >somehow this is a retcon
You retards really will complain about anything, huh?
this is the same fanbase that spent a year arguing that Ultra Beasts weren't Pokemon despite it being explicitly stated in the game they were introduced in
Anon, it couldn't happen post release because we knew they were just glorified pokemon we could catch.
>It can't happen because there's an official source saying otherwise
Anon, yesterday they made a thread discussing whether Kanto was post-game in GSC and no one gave a shit that an official source already had the answer.
People here take the lore from poketubers, not the games.
My guy, not only has it never been backed up, it straight up got countered, TCG has been calling them time-traveling pokemon for months. But 'lore'fags are a special brand of retarded.
If you honestly thought Gamefreak was somehow going to permanently lock these new mons and forms to transfers from a singular prequel game that sold less than their main titles, I don’t know what to tell you guys.
Very least, the item evo Pokemon should be a given. Just have somebody who is the descendant of the Gingko Guild selling stuff he found left over from his ancestors
So what's the lore, then? They're just really rare?
Who cares? The mega timeline is retarded anyway.
there's no lore

well said

bootlicker drone. Go back to clicking buttons in your precious shovelware comfort blanket masquerading as digital entertainment.
>personal attack because she can't counter the argument presented
The prosecution rests, your Honour.

yes, fuck chinks and morons as any nippon banzai company working a damn should
Actually nowadays lore actually makes way more sense
sad but true
The lore is they never died out entirely clearly, even if they became extinct in Hisui (mirroring the fact animals go extinct in the wild, yet persist in captivity due to human intervention in the real world).

Sinnoh is such a shit region it can't even keep its regional forms around
Time travel
Lore and consistency died with Gen 7
It's just an arcanine with different fur grooming.
>what's the lore
No one ever said they were gone in game, and guess what? They weren't.
Youtuber gays have been proved wrong with their fanfics, many such cases.
Sending Pokémon through time has been canon since gen 2.
She got hers from a time distortion
That they stayed alive in Sinnoh, obviously.
>Pokemon bloodline chosen by Arceus itself and living with religious humans that revere them
Yeah like they totally died out. Lmao.

Holy yikes.
They are Almighty Sinnohs Chosen Pokémon.
>lore
the lore is fuck you no one gives a fuck at this point
Basically, yes. Perrin says Ursaluna are "uncommon" when talking about the species in general, and that's the absolute most you get.
Likewise, White-Striped Basculin are found in Kitakami, but no particular fanfare or details are given about them.
“Uncommon” aka “please buy PLA until it stops being recent and we have no choice but to just put peat blocks in the main series titles.”
The Pokemon were never extinct in the first place, that was some dumbass headcanon Poketubers came up with, and Ganker, being full of underage children, just took that as fact.

>ending up in caveman times because some piece of shit lizards got bored
And yet Giratina is the problem child to Arceus.
"Do as I say, not as I do!"
they just put some bones in the same machine they use for fossils
Their is no lore. Just a gay word invented by nerds. Nintendo didn’t give a fuck about the “ZELDA TIMELINE” and never will.
This looks like Toontown, I really hope no one here actually spent money on this shit
What the fuck are you smoking toontown looks way worse than this
What's sobble doing there?
Sobbing.
Gamefreak can't even keep track of their own lore. Pathetic.
Beat me to it!
Extinctfags be damned!
Hisui is back!
you just know
just like the poison chain trio randomly coming back to life, there is literally no explanation
it just happens and moves on
I just realized that it IS explained, but through more subtle storytelling
It's explained earlier that the crystal pool is said to allow communication with the dead
The mask has tera crystals in it, and is near the grave
It's implied a lot that the crystals can grant wishes and create paradoxes
Fucking-We beat the kid so hard, his butthurt triggered the crystals into reviving the dead
>extinctionbros
uh i don't think Ganker understand what OP actually meant by this
Why would they have gone extinct? Do people really think in future gens you’re still going to have to transfer all the way back to PLA to get their mons?
Yes, what is it, OP? Do you have a fossil for me to revive?
Pokémon lore is contradicting itself? That's never happened before!
I mean, it kind of hasn't outside of remakes and timeline shenanigans.
And retcons like removing mentions of real animals or the fact Pokemon used to take place on Earth.
"Pokejapan" is also poketuber slop.

everstone exists retard

this is the same fanbase that spent a year arguing that Ultra Beasts weren't Pokemon despite it being explicitly stated in the game they were introduced in
Anon, that happened BEFORE release.
Mainly because it was a more interesting outcome.
Nah, I distinctly remember there being an extended argument post release
Anon, it couldn't happen post release because we knew they were just glorified pokemon we could catch.
That's 99% of the complaints here sadly.
>It can't happen because there's an official source saying otherwise
Anon, yesterday they made a thread discussing whether Kanto was post-game in GSC and no one gave a shit that an official source already had the answer.

This is the same series where it revives dinos so i don't question how they can revive a animal from atleast 100 years ago
I played the entire DLC with a Shiny Ursaluna from PLA in my party, and it gave me the shiny page for Bloodmoon, despite Bloodmoon being shiny locked
Professor's invention confirmed as time machine.
What n64 game is that?
Quest 64
you have never played a N64 game
Okay I don't really care about the lore, can I just evolve into possible Hisuian Pokemon in SV itself please?
Very least, the item evo Pokemon should be a given. Just have somebody who is the descendant of the Gingko Guild selling stuff he found left over from his ancestors
Weird that Sobble didn't go extinct
